I love this bar. The service was first-rate and the atmosphere was relaxed. Very few people a ND a super friendly bartender. If you're staying at Icon, I recommend stopping for a drink.

We stopped as members of a ghost tour. Learning the history of the building was fascinating, but that's not the point of this review! . We arrived as a large gaggle, but the staff was efficient in their service. We asked for a pickleback plus a cocktail, and the cocktails were excellent. . The pickle back made us laugh. The bartender doesn't keep pickle juice--fair enough--but reached out to the kitchen for help. She got all they had, which was fantastic. The funny part is that the juice was from "bread and butter" pickles! It was a surprising twist, not completely successful from a taste standpoint. The slightly sweet flavor did quench the burn of the whiskey. I won't repeat this at home, but I surely appreciated the attempt! . So kudos to the bar. A for effort!

Love the old feature of it being a bank. Super cool lobby. Friendly staff helped us find local food for a great 2 day stay.

Wonderful drinks & food, superb service. Steven prepared custom craft cocktails two nights in a row. Ask for him! A great little bar with great big character. Thanks, Steven!

Had a pleasant lunch here, the deviled eggs were sublime. The quesadillas were tasty and the Caesar salad was fresh and tasty. Definitely a good spot with a professional, classy atmosphere

Beautiful ambiance, great service by Maria for our party of 13; and the food was exceptional. We came from Florida for a visit, and we were not disappointed. We will definitely be back again soon.

We had a first experience with the Happy Hour" drinks (and food) for a birthday ; and it was..."eh;" as the Happy Hour menu was limited (didn't know this until I asked if the menu that I had was the HH menu but learned that it was the wrong menu...good thing that we didn't order from it; as the pricing may have been very different). I ordered a "Godfather"🥃- which is a norm for me when visiting and ordering from a new place. The pricing was twice the normal due to pricing separately instead of in the same glass (though I paid it 💪 ..but my normal tipping reflected the overpricing ...sorry, Daisy....next time, ok 👌👈💥😎). Overall, I give a 4- rating because I'm not insensitive; and the "Happy Hour" is a relatively new function; so, that's it. 👍

For dinner our waitress Stephanie was wonderful, attentive and had just a great attitude. The food was yummy and they have a lot of comfort food options. Breakfast is a different story, overpriced for what you get. I don't know if they were short staffed but they messed up my order multiple times. Also had to walk over the check at the end because after we finished we were completely ignored. Overall I would say avoid breakfasts here, but lunch/dinner is very good.

Hands down just excellent! We had our very first date here and I picked the place because of a certain Malbec they had. I informed the host that it was a special evening and man did they go above and beyond! They took my card before so there was no question of who got to pay at the end, I didn't have time to pick up flowers so they offered me a few from their vase in the back, I had wrapped a present and like clock work the server tacitly brought it out at desert just as I had instructed! As I mentioned I picked the place based on a wine, however when it came time to bring it out, they had just sold the last bottle! So the manager extended their apologies and offered another bottle and was kind enough to give a discount on the bottle to make up for the hiccup. Our service was divine, our food was great, the atmosphere romantic and calm just like I had asked for. This place holds a special place in my heart because of how much attention to detail they paid to my wants and needs. With their help our first date was a knockout! I mean, afterall we are just about to celebrate another anniversary!

A true hidden gem in the heart of downtown Houston. Line & Lariat is located in the historic Hotel ICON! Walk into the hotel and you'll immediately feel warm and welcome by true Texas history. The luxurious finishes and details of the bar and restaurant area make you feel like you've walked into a 5 star steakhouse. The cocktails at the bar are top notch (here are a couple that I had- guava martini and Astros on the rocks- both of the menu - prepared by Oscar). My dining experience was excellent, the food at the restaurant is to die for. Pack your appetite, servings are Texas sized! It's a great date night destination. It's also a great place to have a cocktail before or after a downtown event. I can't wait to dine Line & Lariat again!
