Just got off a long flight from Australia. Saw this place on the way to the hotel. Sooo glad I went. Got the biscuits and gravy with sides and an extra pancake. Everything was amazing. Had to stop myself from ordering more.
The food was delicious, came out quickly, and was cheaper than chains like IHOP or Dennys. Service was attentive and friendly.
My wife and I ended up having to stay at the nearby Holiday Inn because of a cancelled flight. While we were taking the shuttle from the airport, however, our driver recommended a local 24/7 diner that accepts the meal vouchers that United gave us!
In the morning, we ended up walking over for breakfast before heading back to the airport, and we we’ve rarely been so satisfied after a restaurant breakfast! We’d probably recommend the sausage over the bacon, but everything else was incredible, even down to the coffee.
Hopefully we have another delay at IAH in the future and have an excuse to come back to the Hot Biscuit on JFK!
The restaurant was conveniently located next to the hotel we stayed overnight before our cruise. We went in for dinner. We enjoyed the food we ordered including the cheesecake and pecan pie for dessert. Price was good & reasonable. The waitress was really friendly, attentive, and she got our orders right. She was the only waitress we saw serving that night (Dec 16 at around 8 pm) but she did a great job.
Definitely coming back again with my Familia sooo good and they brought me 🍯 and cinnamon for my coffee food was hot fresh and delicious
Been wanting to come here for lunch for a while now since my job is so close. If you've never been. Think Denny's or IHOP but scale it down because it's not that big. But the food is great, prices are fair. If anything, con wise, I could think of .. the server seem to forget about us halfway through our lunch. We wanted a refill on our drinks. But she seem to disappear. But I'm pretty sure, I'll be back again.
This was a quick stop to grab breakfast after having picked up someone from George Bush airport. The place is what you might expect from an average breakfast place. Nothing spectacular about it and at the same time nothing to complain about. I particularly liked the service. Our waitress was very friendly and checked on us often.
If you're around the George Bush airport area and looking for a quick hot breakfast, this is a good place to come to.
Stopped in for early breakfast. Asked for crispy hash browns and I did not get them. Not sure if the waitress failed or the cook. However, the food was good and the eggs were cooked right! Don't order the coffee though, not good. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. Considering they are the only ones open in the airport area, around 5am.
Man oh man I am in pain after being here. This place will PUT YOU TO BED!!
One of the best breakfast spots I’ve been to! Our server Mrs. Carol was INCREDIBLE!! After 30 years of service I wouldn’t have wanted anyone else to serve me!!
Was a great atmosphere came early in the morning. A nice peaceful place. Was a little busy but didn't kill the vibe at all. We were seated right away. Overall, it was a great experience with great food. Oh, and the sweet tea was something special southern. Sweet tea that'll cause diabetes, just like we like it in the south
Why are the best places that you find to eat, always in another city than your own? I wish I could dine here whenever I wanted. This is a genuine throwback to a time when restaurants served great southern cooking and comfort food. This place is the real deal, great food, service and prices. We ate dinner and then breakfast the next morning. We had the fried catfish and Salisbury steak, two of their popular dishes. Excellent choices. Then the next morning we had the special with eggs, sausage, bacon, hashbrowns and pancakes for only $7.99. Our waitress was outstanding and I wish I could remember her name but I remember that her family was from Mexia Texas. You couldn't find a better waitress anywhere. I go to Houston regularly for business and in fact I'm going this week, you can bet if I could find a way to make it over there I will eat there again. Wife loved that place.
Visited for the first time. Went around 730pm on a Sunday. Not many people eating inside.
Waitress was friendly. Sweet Tea was good. Food was fresh and hot.
Great experience. The food was delicious, fresh & hot! We got an omelette, and your other breakfast basics. A quiet place, only a few people in there. But our waitress was super sweet! Thank you, will return if we’re around.
We had a horrible day… Started at 3am as we prepared for our long awaited vacation to Belize. We flew to Houston from Charlotte and our second flight to Belize was canceled completely. We came to the Hilton Garden Inn exhausted and very hungry.. We had a wonderful lunch with a very sweet waitress “Paula”. I had the fish sandwich and fries and my boyfriend had a sampler.. We enjoyed our lunch so much, we opted to walk over for dinner as well. The Grilled Salmon with vegetables and rice was very healthy and cooked perfectly so not dry at all… My boyfriend really enjoyed the Steak taco salad. Once again Paula gets 5 stars for her sweetness. We may even go back a third time for breakfast. Prices are extremely fair and portions are huge. Thank you for helping to turn our day around.
I was in Houston overnight before an early international flight, so without car or desire to get a ride share in and out downtown. This was the only place within walking distance that looked interesting, but I almost didn’t go in when I saw that the parking lot was empty at 7:00 pm on a Thursday. I’m glad I did! It was a great, inexpensive, well-made, and memorable meal. Sometimes simple things made with care is the way to go, even if the masses are only interested if the parking lot is full.
