Paid a visit from “up north” after learning that the owner is related to my neighbor ... no regrets! Such a great, relaxed vibe and the best dressed dogs full of flavor! Kids enjoyed outdoor games (despite the heat and humidity)!
Awesome dogs. Awesome atmosphere. Great staff. Definitely someplace I would eat at again. The beer list is on point, as well!
I love everything about Good Dog Houston. The new Montrose location is beautiful! The food is always amazing. Best fried pickles and hotdogs I've ever had. The sunshine dog is a must try. Highly recommend!
Awesome little place! I went with the fish and chips and it was some of the best I have ever had. The dogs looked really good too!!
Great friendly atmosphere, awesome ..live band, terrific local micro beers..a bit small establishment, but worth the drive there.
I really enjoyed the atmosphere. The restroom was nice and very clean. I went for the Saint Arnold's tribute beers. The staff was friendly, the hot dog with Muenster and Jalapeno relish was fantastic. I also discovered I was sitting next to the owners and they were very friendly. I will make this a regular place I eat at.
What a wonderful place! You can eat outside, bring your pet, have a gourmet dog and glass of wine. Great way to unwind.
Who knew that collard greens would take that Southern Comfort gourmet hot dog on that holy cow so perfect bun to stellar heights!! Go, people!! Partake of the manna!!!!!
We love this place! About $8 for a well crafted dog. Beer braised kraut is delish! Stone ground mustards! Chili, peppers, slaw, super thin sliced pickles...build your own if one of their menu dogs doesn't strike you. The buns are the most amazing buns ever. Inside/outside seating. Dog friendly patio. Terrific local beer selection. Park across the street in the free lot.
Good Dog Houston is doggone good! Friendly, hospitable, and welcoming. Convenient location. Handsome build out. Interesting menu with delicious food. Besides the dogs, try the apple horseradish coleslaw, coffee milkshake, and the chocolate cookies.
From the food to the staff, everything was way more than we ever expected. We love family a family run business, especially of this quality! Well worth it to stop in!
We enjoy trying new dogs every time we visit, all of them have been nothing short of awesome!. I really wish both locations were a little bit bigger but nonetheless it is always a great experience and service!. Will definitely be back to try some more

Best hot dogs, anywhere, hands down! Everything on the menu is awesome, but the hot dogs are a must try, even for non-hot dog fans :)
This little gem is so amazing! Best hotdogs with the most inventive/unique toppings. By far one of the best hot dogs i have had in my entire life.
One topped with Mac and cheese and bacon... another with an egg and hollandaise sauce. I’m seriously drooling just thinking about it.

Good Dog has been one of our favorite, fast, go-to places to go eat. I have been to the Heights location and the one in West Alabama and both their dogs are consistently good. I personally don’t find a difference in either site.
My favorite is the Benedict hot dog - the cheese sauce is awesome and the egg adds a really nice and rich flavor to the hot dog. They are known for their bread but I personally think it is too much for the hot dog to bun ratio. Their tofu dogs are really good and especially with the toppings they have, it’s hard to tell the difference in taste (mostly in texture). A side of their chips is a good touch but their fries are just as good.
I am a huge fan of their Taqueria Cobb Salad but it is definitely a bit more on the pricier size ($14 vs ~$7 for the hot dog). They also have a great selection of beers and milkshakes.
The West Alabama location also has games (clue, sorry, dominos, checkers and more) which are fun while waiting for the food! (Not that it takes a long time)
I've gone to the Heights Location a couple times and have always had a great experience. This was my first time to the Montrose Location and it was awesome. The atmosphere of the building being an old home had a very welcoming feel. The staff have great customer service and the food was spot on perfect. The food came out fast and was very filling and the location is kept very clean. I definitely will be coming back for years to come. Added bonus they have in the back outdoor seating where they show movies and games on a big screen which will be perfect in the Fall.
Start off with the pretzel bun apps, then a fancy dog paired with a beer = perfect relaxing meal. The atmosphere is relaxed and it's so cute! Love the complementary dominos to play while waiting. Can't wait to try the rest of the fancy dogs. Come hungry for sure.
Amazing place to eat hotdogs really love the place. You can either sit outside or inside with some legendary arcade game. Love the food and the service. The chips are amazing
It was a great experience! They have a small parking lot directly in front of their spot. So that's a plus if you can get in there. It's a small place but has great vibes. The staff was friendly and helpful the entire time (we went with 8 people). The food was GREAT. Highly recommend :)
Great place for casual lunch, a lot of variety in hot dogs. Not so many “diet friendly” dishes (unless you take out the bun on hot dogs which is not a bad option). Definitely going back!
Love the staff. Always so helpful. I've been here 3 times and everysingle time i left with a smile on my face, whether it be the decor, the staff, the food, or even the dogs that some owners bring. And their holtdogs...omg are soooo good. Honestly recomend getting their hotdogs no matter what kind it is, youll always leave satisfied. I recently had their hot wings and wow. Honestly just wow. If you dont like spicy it wasnt spicy at all and it just had the tast of good wings. And i brifly touched on the decor but they have both inside and 2 outside seating places. One has a projector where you can sit outside and enjoy a movie which is really cool or the front where you could enjoy the aesthetics of there. Honestly its not THAT expensive of a place and i highly recomend going to this specific good dog. Its the more aesthetic of the two in houston.
Abby is a excellent bartender and server 😊. Very knowledgeable with drinks and menu. Plenty of space for bikes to park and patio for outdoor front and back for eating, which is also pet friendly. Happy hour is the best time to go if your looking for a deal on food and beers. This is must go to spot if you're visiting Houston. Also there are classic arcade games to play. Only place to get a hot dog.
A gem! If you don't stop for one of these you're missing out! The onions rings and the dip they serve with them will make you weak at the knees! Fun and happy atmosphere.
Great bread for the Dogs! Highly recommend you check them out!! publishing a few really great photos we took for them. Enjoy
Great selection of creative hot dogs. It all starts with a good foundation with the tasty bun and hot dog itself. The creative toppings are just the icing on the cake. Try the Chi-Town and Texican.
Tasty dogs and a great environment. Everything on the menu had a unique twist to satiate what you're looking for while also being different enough to let your tastebuds explore. Hotdogs have a nice crisp pop when you bite into them, adding further to the satisfaction of the fresh Ingredients. The craft beer selection is varied as well, so go crazy pairing beers with dogs. The porch area is recommended on cool nights, and it's very clean inside for muggy days. Give this place a try, even if you've never considered a hot dog a gourmet food. You might just find yourself changing your mind.
I had no idea there were so many ways to get a hot dog, though I picked the wrong 2 for my choices, doesn't mean the dogs aren't good. Small place, but a wide variety of choices. The rodeo dog was the best I had, can't beat macaroni & bacon, but I dare u to add chili
Nice selection of gourmet hot dogs. I liked the chi-town dog. The buns weren't what I was expecting, since they were more lobster roll style buns but they were really soft and worked really well. The berry mascarpone milkshake was great too
Always a great place to eat! The dogs are reasonably priced and the staff is friendly. This location also has a parking lot across the street which makes it a bit more accessible than the Heights location.
Their New Yorker was delicious and did taste like a NY hot dog. The Rodeo Hot Dog, which had Mac & Cheese, was creamy and delicious. My 25 year-old daughter described it as yum yum. Fries were fresh with good flavor. They make their own ketchup, which had a unique and good taste. Coleslaw was also good. In summary, everything was very good. I will be returning.
