Ambrosia has a great atmosphere and ambience. The food is top grade. We tried the chicken fried rice and the roasted shrimp and both were very tasty and palatable. The waitress was very friendly and helped us sort through the drinks menu and helped us choose some popular drinks.

The food was decent, however only issue I had was it coming out at different times! My party waited on some of their apps while others had theirs. I wasn’t too impressed with the curry fries, as I expected more cheese and curry seasoning on them. The masala lamb chops were delicious, the cucumber mint sauce and the curry jam added that “OOMFH” too it.

Long post time! Based off of the suggestion from Bay Area Houston Food Lovers on FB, from my last post we had to stop at Ambrosia in Southwest Houston. It is a block off of 59 south and Shepard Dr, nestled in a neighborhood right off the highway, but don't let that fool you. From the moment we walked up it had the most welcoming atmosphere, so of course we had to take a selfie. Lol. If the weather permits take advantage of their outdoor seating! It was definitely a bit hot today so we went inside to a very visually pleasing atmosphere and friendly staff ready to answer any of our questions. But enough of that let's talk about why you choose to read this. Food time! The Brussel sprouts are ridiculously tasty 😋. From the moment they hit the table, the aroma instantly entices your senses. They have the perfect blend of crisp and sweetness. The freshly shredded Parmesan cheese gives a phenomenal finish to each bite, not overpowering at all. Next, the spicy chicken and waffles! I was looking forward to this one. With the perfect amount of powdered sugar glistening off the top, I had to dive in. Definitely a sweet and savory waffle. Gives my tastebuds memories of the most amazing Seabrook Waffle Company. 🧇 The chicken was a beautiful glow of orange as it sat on the plate begging me to try it. As I cut into the chicken it gives that satisfying crunch. I can only explain it as a light crisp, but not over crisp, taste to it. Definitely an intriguing profile to it. Now the sauce will knock you out of your socks with a sweet but firery taste leaving you wanting more. But you must pair the 2 in a single bite and the pairing will leave you so satisfied. Now, off to the Karaage A L'Orange! This Thai orange curry is demanding I experience what it has to offer, so it is up next. The twice fried chicken is beautiful to cut with a fork, as the crunch gives me happy chills. The orange curry sauce that the chicken is comfortably nestled in has an amazing citrus hint to it without a overpowering, flavor which pairs beautifully with the spicy, but not deadly, Bloody Mary. Now time to wrap it up! I definitely recommend swinging by and experiencing the never before flavors for your taste buds, they will definitely thank you. We loved it all! From the atmosphere, staff and food, I was absolutely pleased to have experienced this suggestion. Can't wait til the next visit on the list of all the amazing suggestions from BAHFL!

The entire meal was consistently inconsistent, as it seemed like the theme of the night was hit or miss. For our starters, the Baadmash Wings and Keema Wedges were delicious. The wings were one of the highlights of the night, with a perfect crispy texture and solid flavor profile. The Yusheng Salmon Crudo and Ribeye Tataki were unfortunately a little disappointing, however, as both came out a little dry and borderline bland. For the main course, it was a little bit of the same. The flatbreads were pretty decent. The Thai Chicken could’ve used a little more spice, but the bread/crust on both was spot on. The Chicken Fried Rice and Karaage A L’Orange were pretty good options to share, with the Karaage being one of the most unique options of the night (curry flavor was very strong). The best dishes of the night were definitely the Maharaja Shrimp and Japanesian Brussels. Both had flavors that stood out above the rest and left us wanting more. On the other end of the spectrum was the Szechuan Ribeye, which looked great but tasted far short of the same. The steak was barely warm and had little to no flavor. While the food itself was inconsistent, the combination of speed of our meal and overall service helped make for a pretty positive experience.

I went for a Monday night extended happy hour and I couldn't have been happier. The place was fairly empty which was nice because it was quiet and easy to have a conversation. The service was awesome, super friendly. Timely with the food and behind the bar.

The food was as expected and I love the dark castle atmosphere. However, the tables are pretty close together and caused the place to be very loud. So, not recommended if you’re looking for a quiet experience.

Came here for Houston Restaurant Weeks! The service was nice. Everyone was very attentive. The selections on the menu were great! The interior had a lot of cool art on the walls. Samosas were my favorite out of the dishes I ordered.

Warm, small almost a tavern feel feel. Our server was very friendly and attentive and helped w choices in the compact menu. The brussels and the baby bok choy were our favorite dishes followed by the dumplings. I liked the curry sauce w the crispy chicken but the chicken was more chewy than crispy. The long grain rice plate was a fantastic starch to pair w the veggies. The ribeye, while flavorful and tender was huge and clunky after enjoying all the small plates prepared to enjoy w chopsticks. Small bar and a comfortable patio n front for dining...valet parking. Enjoyed our dimmer of four as the sharing of plates made for a lively evening exploring their choices.

Service, ambiance, seating, and alcoholic drinks were all top-notch! I was a bit less impressed with the food: for the curry wedges, the curry sauce was in the bottom of the pan, and the fries had not been mixed into the curry so that half of the fries didn't have any curry on them. The curry was also blander than I was expecting, still a decent flavor, but bland. The Gangnam ribs were very tender and incredibly tangy; tangy, because the sauce tasted like ketchup with lots of vinegar and soy sauce in it. It was ok for me, but I suspect others wouldn't find the flavor appealing. And the cheesecake with pandan: very thick and dry, would have appreciated more pandan sauce and no chocolate or caramel sauce. It was an average cheesecake. Let's face it, you're not here for the food, you're here for the drinks. And the drinks are excellent, so have several!

High-end Pan-Asian, Southwestern, and New American fusion with pretty strong cocktails. Great service. Pricey for a splurgey intimate dinner. Cool outdoor patio with cushioned seats for a chill, cozy vibe. The brussel sprouts and ribs are FANTASTIC. I don't have any food pics because we ravished it all. The door is big, heavy, and medieval style (pro tip: *pull*, don't push or you'll stand there awkwardly for a minute trying to figure it out...like we did🤭)

First of all their libations were great! There's a drink called the Shogun and I'd say it's a must try drink!!me and my GF we both absolutely loved that drink. I liked the fact that they have just 2 dessert options and we tried their kulfi and we're glad that we tried it! And and and y'all should try their brussels and papas!!! It's a must! Would definitely love to go there again! Ohhh just forgot this! The ambience is awesome!!! Their decor is great and they I think really good paintings around! A good place for a first date!😉

Bungalow style home converted to a tapas style restaurant with an attentive staff, unique craft drinks and flavorful fusion cuisine based on Indian spices. Badmash wings, Korean Papas and Curry Wedges set the stage for their famous Masala Lamb Lollipops. But it was the desert that made the dinner experience complete. Will return.

Cute little spot. Just know it may be easy to drive right past... kinda hard to see the name on the sign during the day, but worth the effort to log cassette it. Delish food, yummy mixed drinks and awesome service!

One of my favorite places in Houston. Food is amazing Indian southeast Asian fusion and the cocktails are inventive. Tapas style. Dimly lit so romantic but also good for groups. Get the curry wedges, samosas (lamb is the best), ribeye or lamb ribs. Great food, but wait staff can be hit or miss.

From the ambiance to the food, everything was amazing! We got the chicken samosas, Baadmash Wings (Masala dry-rub and Gangnam style flavors), and steak cut fries and everything was delectable!
