My family and I love this place ! I've referred so many friends and family here. I have been going here for almost 12 years . They have watched me grow up along with my own little family now. The staff are so attentive and friendly . They work hard and it shows . Plus the food is AMAZING ! Can't say what my favorite dish is because I love everything . But I will say anything with noodles is my favorite . For people writing bad reviews , I find it hard to believe . If you need to split tickets , that takes a while to sort out . So don't get angry if they are trying to ring up other guests tickets before yours , they are trying to get the fastest ones out . If you would understand . Anyways highly recommend this place ! You won't regret it ! ❤️

The Seafood Curry Udon was so Good! Cost me under ten dollars. I also had fresh carrot juice. If you have not been here it is a must!

Really so many dishes offered here and most are under 10 bucks! Best thing to do would be to go with a large group of ppl and split everything family style. The spaghetti with meat sauce and French toast with peanut butter and condensed milk is my life.

Stuff's good here man… stuff's good. I tried 5 different things and liked them all. I did pass on the shrimp pancake(?) though, sometimes you just have to go with your instincts, but if that's up your alley, the people that had it, liked it.

The food was phenomenal! Some of the service was nice, some a little abrasive. But, the food! I would definitely go back.

We had a variety of food consisting of appetizers, several main course dishes sharing family style, and dessert. Everything was good and the service was acceptable. We had to wait about 15 minutes before we got our table at 12:30pm.

I come here every time I’m in Houston! It’s a go-to for Hong Kong style food. This time, we got the beef flat noodles, walnut jumbo shrimp, and HK style toast. The beef flat noodles was the right flavor and we liked that it wasn’t too salty. The walnut jumbo shrimp had the right amount of sweetness and fried to the perfect texture. There was a hint of lemon that elevated the taste. The HK toast had lots of condensed milk and is exactly how you’d expect it to taste; I think the HK toast with condensed milk and peanut butter is better. The service was quick and I had no wait after their busy lunch time; this is a Chinese restaurant so do not expect Michelin star restaurant attitude. It was hot inside so it felt a little uncomfortable eating since I was also sweating eating hot food, but this isn’t always the case.

I always go there to eat my favorite menu, Jumbo shrimp with honey walnuts. It was delicious this time too. It's the weekend, so it's crowded, but the food comes out quickly.

Overall, the food here is good. I think their roast duck is the best in town. It’s very fatty, with crispy skin, and not too salty. The spare ribs were good, but not fall-apart tender like some other restaurants. I don’t know if this is a choice due to regional variations in the dish, but I liked it a bit less than some other places. The flavor was very good however. The service was fast and courteous. House of Bowls is an easily recommendable restaurant, if you crave Cantonese/Honk Kong style cuisine.

My wife and I stopped here for lunch before heading into Galveston Island. The restaurant is in the heart of Houston's Chinatown. We were thoroughly impressed with the food as well as the service. The food here reminded me of some of the great food served in Cantonese restaurants in NY's Chinatown. We ordered the shrimp chow fun with the egg sauce, sauteed snow pea leaves in garlic, and chicken with bitter melon in black bean sauce. Each dish was authentic and delicious. We had plenty of leftovers too. The service was excellent. The wait staff was very experienced, super friendly, and helpful. Whenever we're in Houston again, this place will definitely be a repeat visit for us.

Service was good. Food came out quickly, then again it wasn’t the typical Friday or Saturday evening rush. Lots of selection. Can’t decide, get the garlic fried wings.

This restaurant never let me down. Same as every time we visited, the food quality here is high and service is speedy. Today we ordered Curry beef over rice and Korean style stir fried rice cake. Both were so yummy and better than any other places. The best is their iced milk tea and iced coffee. Almost every customer has one of them on the table. Must try! Very authentic Hong Kong style iced coffee and milk tea! Almost forgot to mention the garlic wings. It's heavenly tasty.

It’s really a great place to have a nice simple lunch. Which I like most was the Shrimp and Egg Chow Fun. It was so yummy. The shrimp is large and very fresh. And the noodles are of great taste and texture. We both like it very much. chow fun in Singapore style are also delicious. But it would be better with extra salty. The garlic fired chicken wings are good but not very impressive for me. I do not like the condensed milk peanut butter toast. It’s way too sweet for me and I am not a big fan of that wet and soft texture of toast. Maybe I should have it without the condensed milk·

Consistent stop anytime I'm close for Beef Chow Fun dry style, wings and HK French Toast. I've had other dishes, all good, but these are musts.

Ordered lunch takeout. Phone was answered immediately and food was prepared fast. Children like YangZhou Fried Rice. Beef Chow Fun Dry Style is ok but not the best. Overall great experience. Nice addition to Chinatown cuisine.

Enjoyed the food here, didn't have my glasses to read the menu, so just ordered what the guy at next table ordered with chicken. It was sooo good! I didn't like that they sat us right in the middle of two other tables and the one table had a lady nonstop talking about her wedding. I mean I was happy for her but I wasn't that interested in hearing about it over my dinner. Next time I will chose my own table. Well sometimes that happens, but my dinner was delicious and had enough to pack for a later snack. Friendly staff, masks were worn as well by staff. Will definitely go back and pick my own table to really enjoy this delicious food in Chinatown!! Peace out!

Excellent small place. I ordered the beef flat rice noodles. Delicious and not overly oily. The wok technique is on point and flavorful. This is my second visit and will be make an effort to go more frequently. And I’ve just visited again and the flat rice noodles is consistent. I think this is their signature dish. I’ll always come back for this dish :)

Amazing food and customer service! Right when I walked in I was greeted and everyone had a positive attitude. The people were very nice and the food was awesome! This is one of the best places to get Singapore noodles and taste even better with their chili oil. You get a large portion of food that you can save for later or enjoy it all at once! Will definitely be coming again (:

Best beef chow fun. Can see and taste the wok fire. Glad the portions are big so that I could have some before my kids are it all. The Singapore curry noodles were awesome too.

From the outside, it looks like a rainforest on the inside. It's certainly a neat perspective someone if it's their first time. Me and my friends felt that the location originally could have two separate establishments or possibly three because of the way the renovations were done. The staff was very nice and friendly. I enjoyed their attentiveness. The food take a little while to come out so be sure to order appetizers. If they have them available, their fried shrimp rolls and cakes are really delicious and will hold you over quite nicely until your food is ready. I ordered a fried noodle with a spicy shrimp on top. It was good and it tasted better than just ordering a regular ramen dish. This location is known for their rice bowls tho. I had never had fried noodles before so I'm glad I tasted it. It carried with it a slow heat, I could taste the peppers, loved that it was loaded with vegetables. The portion sizes are enough fir 2 people so be ready to ask for a Togo plate. I would recommend this place if your in the area!

Really liked the place. This is the second time I am coming to the place and I have not been disappointed. Got the stir fry flat rice noodle with beef and chicken and salted fish fried rice - both were really good. The BBQ pork with egg pancake was good - pork was ok but the egg pancake was fabulous. Got the salted and fried mini white fish. Docking 1 star because of this dish. Breaded way too much and barely can taste the fish. Overall a great place for Cantonese food.
