We went for Taco Tuesday/ Girls dinner yesterday & loved it! Sergio was our waiter & he was the bomb! We each had two tacos & we had different types of tacos. No complaints here! My friend had the Unicorn Margarita and I had the El Big Bad Drink & a grow some hair on your chest mix of habenero tequila and grapefruit tequila Margarita. Our service was fast & we enjoyed the atmosphere, but let's be honest we came for the infused tequila.

Great place to chill, enjoy some good food, and view. Had a great time dancing Salsa on their patio or room when they host salsa parties.

This experience was a strong 4 stars, mostly based on my food & drink and the atmosphere. We were a party of 4 that went in at around 5pm on a Saturday. These days, you seat yourself & order through an app. If you are not an iPhone user, you have to download the app which I found very annoying. Two of our party ordered carne asada tacos, one ordered a ground beef burrito, & I ordered the chicken enchiladas. The carne asada tacos were ok but had way too many raw onions. The burrito was entirely eaten so must have been good. My chicken enchiladas were absolutely delicious. The think green tangy sauce was lick the plate good & the Spanish rice was excellent too. The refried beans had good texture but were a little bland. I ordered the pumpkin infused margarita with a sugar rim. It was perfect. Not too sweet and absolutely delicious! The music was very loud & clubby for 5pm. We have not been to El Big Bad in awhile. The food & margaritas are still excellent but we were not a fan of the changes to the service. We will go again eventually, but would go much more often if the service environment was better.

El Big Bad offers an eclectic experience in downtown Houston, where the vibrant atmosphere perfectly complements their impressive tequila selection. From the unique decor to the carefully curated tequila menu, it's a must-visit for those seeking a distinctive and lively downtown dining experience.

Amazing themed place, only missing enough crowd. Maybe it was due to the late time of the day, but the exterior facade is just historic New Orleans style. Also, the guy at the upper bar was very friendly & attentive. The Chips & Queso were just the right crisp & thickness. I wish some of the expensive restaurants I have been to lately serve the same chips rather than their hard-to-chew ones. The burger was almost the perfect Tex-Mex Burger I have been looking for, for a while now. But truly, it wasn't bad at all. The crispy Baha Fish Taco was also crispy & fluffy. The sauce & garnish were just right. Finally, the balcony was looovely. I can't imagine how it looks & feel around Christmas time. 🎄🎅

Mexican food, my husband don’t drink alcohol but we came for the food only, I did have one mule cocktail it was good, the steak tacos and quesadilla was good and the churros also. Music was ok but it was Tuesday. It was a little empty but it was the only place open till midnight so it was better than nothing. Waitress was super attentive, fast and friendly. She did gave us good service. It’s on the rooftop but we sat inside.

Pretty cool 3 story place with outdoor seating as well. Strong but good margarita. Had a really good burrito and definitely recommend. Whole place has a cool vibe to it. Definitely coming back to try more food soon. Parking can be as it is typical of downtown but shouldn't be too bad.

Enjoyed my meal on the upstairs patio. Waiter was very attentive and recommended the Unicorn margarita. Two words: Get it!

The best place downtown for birria tacos! I’ve come 4 times just to eat these tacos, they also have a large variety of infused tequilas. This is definitely the place to go if you’re a tequila drinker.

We were actually very pleasantly surprised by this place. We love tequila and mezcal and saw it was highly rated. We only got drinks but they were very good. We would return to try their other margaritas.

So I wanted to try somewhere new and downtown with a beautiful view of the city and this place checked all of my boxes. As soon you walk in there are containers and containers of tequila’s infusing. We were guided upstairs and went out to the balcony and it was awesome. We sat at a table that was right at the corner of Travis and Pierce and we were just high enough to not be distracted by the noises of the city but close enough to still enjoy the atmosphere downtown houston provides. The drinks were awesome and the bartender was great. The food is really good bar food but mixed with the drinks it was gourmet to me. Lol. I definitely recommend checking this place out especially during the week because you don’t have to fight people and traffic.

Great place for date night or girl’s night! Food and drinks were great and hitting the spot after a long work week. And thank you to the hot blonde behind the bar, Linda! She made the experience even better with her sweet and welcoming vibe!!
