Best breakfast in Houston and I normally refuse to eat breakfast but I can't refuse island grill's omletes.

Nestled into the corner of the strip center near Stella, Link and Holcomb Boulevard. Island Grill is one of the best restaurants around. Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. You can never go wrong ordering from here. I love the morning smoothies, and fresh juices. The staff is always friendly, and this location is very clean. They have healthy options for gluten-free and vegan guests. Definitely coming back soon!
I stopped here randomly for lunch today. What a pleasant surprise. It may be a small place to dine at though it packs volumes of flavor into it's meals! I ate the seafood pita. Scrumptious!!! It was hot and the perfect balance of seafood and sauces. The restaurant was clean, fast and very friendly service. I look forward to trying more of the menu next time.
Angus burger was delicious. Had the Houstonian definitely good. That’s a house favorite! Also had a strawberry wave smoothie and fresh grapefruit juice. Customer service is phenomenal!
It’s ok. Had the smoked salmon lox omelet…it wasn’t terrible just wasn’t what I expected. Flavors just didn’t seem to work together. The blood orange drink was very good though

If you are in the mood for something fresh and different or for a little island atmosphere and flavor I would recommend this shop. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner items. The menu had a huge variety with very fresh and tasty ingredients. It also has an interesting twist with offerings like kabobs and high quality gyro meat. The staff was also very welcoming, friendly and helpful. This cute island getaway is a local Houston, Texas chain. Aside from this location on Bellaire Boulevard there are three other locations across Houston: Bunker Hill Road, Rice Boulevard and Woodway Drive. The location on Bellaire Boulevard is medium sized for a sandwich shop with a cute outdoor seating area including well designed plants and flowers for a island theme. The interior also has a lot of personality including walls lined with framed photos, a well set up and stocked self-service beverage table, chalkboard menu boards, an open view to the kitchen and the right amount of seating. I found that even the clientele were friendly and happy. In addition to the food menu they offer smoothies and juices made from fresh and healthy ingredients. They seem to put a lot of emphasis on healthy and fresh ingredients all the way through to the cooking oils they choose. This was a great find in my opinion and a wonderful way to support local options.
We shared a chicken and beef kabob plate, we got to choose two sides and we loved the Greek salad and hummus. The beef and chicken was very tasty but not as plentiful as I'd like. Our friend got the grilled chicken pita and it seemed to have more pieces of chicken. They had two kinds of unsweetened tea, regular and ginger peach.....both very good.
I got their beef kabab and it was good. Plenty of space to sit in and maybe out. Friendly staff. I would say the price is fair for the food. The service was a bit slow though and I expected meet to be more tender as i got kabab in some other places.
The gluten free pita is the best! I highly recommend! Real lamb gyro meat as well! Friendly service and great food, highly recommended!
When I come in town, I lunch here with different friends. It's a perfect blend of friendliness, great service and delicious food! Great coffee, too!
One of my favorite lunch spots. I’m always greeted with a smile and the food is delicious! I have to eat gluten-free and they always take such good care of me. They have a new GF chocolate cake and it’s phenomenal! I highly recommend Island Grill.
Burger Was Delicious. A little gem of a restaurant, hidden in a small mall right next to Whole Foods. Great bun, 8 oz Angus beef burger. They ever gave us a sampler of hummus and fresh hot pitta bread, awesome. Add the coffee, my favorite because it was Lavazza, great meal for a Friday lunch. Check out their menu, lots of Mediterranean items to choose from.
Island oasis smoothie is THE BEST SMOOTHIE IVE EVER HAD. The workers here are so kind and hardworking. The falafel here is authentic too. Definitely coming back 👍
Great customer service, very patient with me. Food is worth many return Visits. I ate the hummus before I could get a picture. Worth it!
We were staying in Houston for a few days and left the hotel for lunch. We didn’t want anything unhealthy and decided to give the Island Grill in Belaire a try. It’s not a fancy looking place but very quaint and comfortable. The person behind the counter was very friendly and went above and beyond to make sure our visit was pleasant. The food was really good and I didn’t feel guilty about eating “ junk” , even though we were eating out. A lot of times when I eat at a restaurant, they chop up pieces of lettuce that are part of the stalk and not very tasty. There was none of that and we went back the next day again. Give it a try. You won’t be sorry.
Consistently really good eats. Salads delish! Fresh produce, delectable flavors, pleasing to the eye. Portions are hearty.
Serves bkfst, lunch, dinner. Delivers, take-out & un-fussy dine in. You order @ counter & they'll bring to your table. Frequented by locals. Handicap accessible. Parking often congested, but not impossible. No alcohol served. Smoothies, however, wide selection & very popular.
BEST Burgers and french fries in town by far even gluten-free burns! and the service and atmosphere are terrific!
