This is my 1st time in Papas Barbecue. Once I got the lay of the land, it was great. I had the baby back ribs, potato salad and coleslaw topped it off with one of my favorite beers and enjoyed myself. Next time I'm in Houston, I will be back because the ribs were delicious, potato salad and coleslaw as well. Thank you Papas.

First taste of Texas BBQ and I was not disappointed! Not many proper BBQ joints in downtown Houston, but this is a good find! Had the 2 meat combo of brisket and pulled pork, with mac and cheese and potato salad on the side. Finished off with sweet tea. Yum!

I had the brisket in jalapeño roll - possibly the best BBQ beef I've ever had. Outstanding.

Great BBQ chain for a quick lunch. Service is very fast and the food is delicious! Their ribs are massive and so tender. I was not as big of a fan of their brisket, but everything else was amazing. I tried the pulled pork, the pork ribs, and the sausage and all were great. They have a few different types of BBQ sauces and self-serve bread and toppings.

Pappas is always good, sometimes very good, but not great. The sliced beef and sausage are excellent. The chef salad is huge, most eat it for at least 2 meals. The staff are all very friendly and welcoming. They could really improve their French fries, they are usually soggy and not at all in keeping with the excellent standard set by all Pappas restaurants. .

Prepping and cooking is a major component of brisket. However, the oft overlooked element is how it's cut when time to plate. A good meat cutter can make a not so great brisket better by not only listening to the customer's request but by recognizing what is quality and what is not. This place had solid brisket and a magnificent meat cutter. I asked for moist and got exactly what I asked for and sliced just thin enough to be perfectly cut. Good prices for downtown Houston, good food, the beef sausage was also really nice.

I enjoyed it. The ribs were great, tender, and seasoned well. The sausage was juicy and smoked to perfection. Everything else had great, bold flavor including the sides. You even got a lot for your money. My only complaint was the sauce was terrible. It had this overpowering acidity to it. You'll just have to try it and see what I mean.

Sandwich was good and the meat is tasty! Sadly the roll was rather soggy but I would still recommend Pappas

This was some of the best BBQ I ever had. Everything we had was delicious. Get the Turkey!!! I love the bold seasoning on all the meat without being too salty. The one thing I was surprised about was they did not have Beef Brisket from what I saw of the menu. I will definitely come back to Pappa's the next time I come to Houston. Loved it!!!

Great fast BBQ for anyone visiting Houston. Brisket is the best item on the menus but the baked potatoes and salads are great too. The ONLY thing bad about this place is that you cannot come here with out smelling like smoky BBQ for the next two hours...

A Houston favorite for BBQ no doubt. The brisket and smoked Turkey and my favorite anywhere. Sauce is a little tangy but delicious. Get the chopped beef baked potato if you're hungry. Great value!
