Wow. This place is amazing. Not only is it well priced, but the food is amazing. The staff was so kind and friendly, they brought our food out very quickly. There wasn’t a single dish we tried that we didn’t like, everyone had a different favorite.
The basil fried rice was so herby and spicy! The pad thai had an amazing texture and the lime was an essential, it was so good. The pad broccoli was tender with big pieces of well seasoned broccoli. The pad se ew was covered in the delicious sauce that we couldn’t get enough of.
Get any of these dishes and you won’t regret it.
One of the most authentic Thai restaurants I've tried here in Houston. This location here in the Heights is the OG. The restaurant is inside a Southeast Asian small market. The dining area is small but very accommodating for large groups. Best way of trying dishes is to come with your friends do family style and share platters. My favorite dish I've tried here is Pad Kee Mao. A close second is Panang Curry. The deep fried Pompano is also a hit. This place gets easily crowded and tables are close together, great to dine in with friends or family but get used to the noise level. Parking is very hard to secure as there are only maybe 6 spots right in front.
One of our favorite Thai restaurants in Houston! This last trip we brought a large group of friends. I love the grilled Pompano fish , but I prefer the sauce on the side since it’s a bit sweet. Pro tip: Order the Masuman curry and put the sauce on the fish. It’s delicious! Any way Street Food Thai Market cooks flat rice noodles is delicious. It’s always flavorful and never overly greasy. The pork meatloaf reminds me of a Vietnamese dish except that it’s warm. It was our least favorite dish, but everything else made up for it. The atmosphere is jus ok since it’s in the middle of a grocery store, but who cares since the food is great? Looking forward to coming back!
Great place with authentic Thai food. Last time we went we had the Yum Woon Sen and Pad Krapow Moo Krob. Order Thai spicy if you enjoy heat!
First time trying this place tonight. While the restaurant is small, we were seated quickly. Food was served quickly and was of the highest quality. We had the Street Spicy Wings to start, which were tangy, sweet, and a little spicy. The chicken was of good quality, and the wings were served piping hot!
I had the Tom Kha Gai, which was hearty and flavorful. The coconut milk balanced the citrus and sour notes of the soup beautifully. There was a ton of chicken in my soup, and the mushrooms were delicious.
My partner had the Pad Khee Mao with beef. There was so much flavor packed into this dish, and the beef was so tender. It was hard not to keep picking at the plate while waiting for to-go boxes!
We will back again, and soon. There are so many options on the menu to try. We look forward to our next visit!
I'm so happy I found this place! It is a gem for Thai food. Also happy that I went with a group of friends and shared it family style so I could try many dishes at once. Sharing it between 7 people made my total around 14?15? Dollars. I recommend doing it this way if you go with a group of people.
I had the Pad Thai, Pad See Ew, Pad Khee Mao, Tom Yum Noodle Chicken, Tom Kha Gai, Red Curry, and Mango Sticky Rice!!
I loved all of it. Especially the Pad See Ew because of the thick noodles. So chewy and flavorful.
The service was good, the prices were affordable, the vibes were great. I am definitely coming here again and bringing my family since they love Thai food. Whenever I go to other Thai restaurants, I use this place as my bar/standard for comparison and nothing has wowed me like this place has.
The parking might be rough as it's on the corner in a neighborhood and it's also a grocery store. It's definitely smaller than a restaurant located in a shopping plaza. But it's worth the hassle.
This place has been on my list to try for a while and we finally tried it. Came here on a Thursday night and we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of food. We had pork pad kee mao, crispy pork with rice, roti with curry sauce, and Tom kha gai. Our favorite is pad kee mao. The rice noodle was flavorful with chewiness and it comes with a good amount of veggies that makes you feel healthy eating it. The roti was also very delicious with the curry sauce. The Tom kha gai was a little different than we had before but still refreshing. Will come back to try other dishes.
Update: chives cake and pad see ew are delicious and must try!
Evething is goos. Kind staffs and foods are really amazing. The owner is kind and sense of humor. Love this place.
Only the problem in this is the parking. I recommend to visit with Uber or to-go if you want at the crawded time.
Thai Market is delicious and some of the best Thai food I've enjoyed. The venue is a combination grocer and restaurant so you can buy basic imported ingredients and enjoy Thai food before your shopping. Every noodle dish is bursting with flavor and served on a bamboo leaf. Even a simple pad Thai is more delicious here than you'd expect. The curries are rich and decadent. Aim one notch lower on the spices because they really pack the spice in. I am excited to eat here again and explore even more dishes!
Been trying a lot of Thai restaurants in Houston. This one is up there for uniqueness as it has northern Thai dishes. Would definitely recommend trying their specialities such as khao soi gai. We also had the pompano fish. Very authentic feel with little market attached.
