Don't judge a book by its cover! No fancy exterior or interior decor here, although I'm a fan of the rock art posters!. No frills but our food was awesome! Husband's BLT was super loaded with crispy thick bacon, cold iceberg lettuce and ripe tomatoes. On Texas toast, well toasted. We easily could have split the sandwich and been plenty full. I had the fish sandwich, which was nicely battered and cooked crispy. Also lots cold lettuce and the right amount of tartar sauce. I did not eat the Texas toast because...I scarfed the crinkle cut French fries! OMG! Crispy, hot, tender on the inside with a tad of seasoning. We split an order (it'a big!) Husband got less as I machine ate them as soon as they arrived. All this for under $20. We'll be back! Great, simple diner food and Joseph was very friendly. Oh and he can carry a tune!���

The best burger and onion rings I have had in a long time! My Husband had the chicken fried steak sandwich, it was so delicious! Can't wait to go back. Cafe was very clean and friendly service! I definitely recommend this place!
My favorite was the mushroom and swiss burger. I highly Recommend this burger joint.

Quality food at reasonable prices. A nice place to stop for a bite, not just on foot, but if you are out for a bike ride, alone or with a couple of friends...emphasis on "couple".
You can lock your bike out front, in a limited spot. They have a restroom for customers, just be careful to make sure lights are on as you head back to it, hee, hee!
Excellent burger and fries and the price is wonderful. Its lovely to find a place that you can get a plain old fashioned delicious burger the way you want it and actually pay a fair price in the down town area. The owners are just hard working great folks. We enjoyed out conversation with them the day we visited. Very pleasant owners!!! Will visit again.
I have gotten hamburgers from this place on more than one occasion for lunch and they are great! The fries are good too and come with seasoned salt. A co-worker of mine got the fish special they serve on Fridays and she did not enjoy it. The burgers have never let me down, though.
Nice place to grab a bite. Having limited time for lunch, called ahead and ordered. 10 minutes later walk over and burger is prepped but not cooked. Very cool that they waited to start cooking until I got there. The place was quiet so getting the food fresh is attention to detail I appreciate. Burger and onion rings were very good.

Excellent burger, cooked just as I'd hoped. Interactions with the folks at the store were very nice. Finding the bathroom was an adventure, but that's not relevant to the rating of the place. Above all, the burgers were really good.
(Note to the owner: I must have inadvertently clicked on the review star. Your staff (you?) and your food were nice and good. Your response is shocking and disappointing. Gives Houston a bad name. Don't assume anything: the 1-star was a mistake, nothing more. Generally, I think you can ignore bad ratings that don't have specific feedback. I do, and I'll ignore your entirely inappropriate comments, assumptions, and accusations. I hope you have a better day today, and tomorrow.)

Stopped by after being dismissed from jury service ... was a bit early so was the first customer I think ... ordered the mushroom Swiss burger w/ fries ... it was solid ... exactly what I was looking for! A nice burger, cooked perfectly with plenty of fresh toppings. Looks like I’ve found a new lunch spot when ending up downtown!
It was soooo good. Fresh mushrooms on my burger, onion rings were amazing !! Went back two days later and they're closing down due to new owners of the building 😥
Fresh grilled burgers. Was wanting a guacamole burger but had bacon burger. Bacon was great crispy, thick. I liked it I ordered onion rings but wish I had the fries. They were very greasy and grease was old and darkened from being day old. I did like how fresh the burger was fresh lettuce, etc.
Rachel's delivered for our volleyball team playing at the Regional tourney last year. The prices are great, the service and attention to detail in getting our order correct was awesome. The staff went above and beyond. Ordering again this weekend and hope to have the same awesome service and food. :)
I'm going to Jury Duty on the 27th for the first time in Harris County and was searching for a place to eat since I don't have to report until 10:30. Sounds like a good place and after reading the reviews I will have to try a bacon burger as they are my favorite kind of burger.
A simple, no frills, short order grill, that uses great ingredients. Great burger. Loved the thick bacon! Love that all the topping are fresh. Burger was cooked perfect. I'll come back for more.
I work in downtown near the court house and would have to say without a doubt that this place is awesome. Everything I've had was great from the burger to the BLT and especially the chicken tenders. The staff is friendly and fast which is very hard to find in downtown .

Had a yelp group of about a dozen people here and everybody pretty much enjoyed their burgers. Owner was very nice. Soda fountain service here. Restrooms are funny, kind of like walking into a fun house. You'll see what I'm talking about.
