This place is amazing. The menudo, carne Guisada are awesome!!! Even the music they play is great!!Suggest that they put the salsa bar in a place where both sides are accessible to your customers, no lines since this place does get packed. And also remember NOT everyone likes cilantro!!!

My family has been coming here since it started as a walk up only stand on Grant Road. The food here reminds me of my childhood. Love this place!❤❤❤❤❤

Amazing tamales, casual and fun atmosphere, great service and a wonderful staff. Only thing that could make it better would be if they had beer. But we will be back. Oh yes... We will be back.

I always get the same thing, every time I go! It just might be my favorite breakfast in town. Heuvos Rancheros, no beans, extra potatoes, and a chorizo/egg/cheese taco, which is THE best in town, in my opinion! Delicious. Every. Time!

Even though they make Fresh n Delicious tamales what was extra special were their Breakfast Tacos made to order. Served extra Hot. I ordered 2 one sausage & egg and one ham & egg. Both delicious with alot of flavor. What surprised me was the Ham & Egg which most other places chop up the ham. Here it's two pieces with the eggs on top. They were filling. I noticed a wide selection of Breakfasts that I plan on trying on my next visit. Service was outstanding.

Hands down, the best tamales and queso on this side of town. The chips are freshly made as well. I love that they also serve breakfast all day. They do hand menudo and barbacoa on the weekends as well. During the holidays you can also pre order tamales by the dozen and the line is always wrapped around the building. Once you walk in you order your food and they will bring everything to your table once you’re seated. Fountain drink refills are self serve and they do have coffee.

I have loved this place for years. We used to go to Alamo tamales, but they changed. Baldares has great salsa and wonderful tamales. Yummy!

I drive halfway across Houston for their Tamales. They are by far the best I have ever tasted. The spicy pork tamales are superb. The staff are friendly and helpful, what more do you need?

First off, Balderas makes the best tamales I've ever had, and I've eaten thousands. I had lunch here today and picked up 2 dozen for the house. I had the Grande plate. 3 tamales, rice, beans, and a taco. Fantastic meal and it was steaming hot when I got it. I drive about 15 miles past many tamale places for the best. Thank y'all!

Delicious San Antonio TX -Tex Mex food! I love this place! Great huevos rancheros! This breakfast plate has Potatoes over medium eggs a side of refried beans and a side of bacon with the salsa on the side and two flour tortillas. Brisket breakfast tacos are amazing too! The atmosphere is beautiful!

I have struggled to find true great Mexican food (not Tex-Mex!!) while living in Houston and I think I finally found it! The food was authentic, delicious, and inexpensive. The salsas were amazing! I will definitely be coming here on a regular basis.

Been going to this place for at least 7 years, best tamales in North West Houston hands down. Pork tamales are the best. Their rice and beans are delicious. Fresh hand made tortillas made while you wait for your food. Oh and their barbacoa plates on weekends are awesome!

Love the tamales here.. The tamale dinner has tamales, refried beans and rice. Enough food to have some left over to take home. We always order an extra dozen or two to take with us for later. Language barrier is the only downside we have found, but it isn't horrible as we have encountered. Always a 5 star experience.

"The Best for Breakfast or lunch Balderas was always my favorite since they were located on North HWY 6 and Keith Harrow, just like momma cooking. Open one on Huffmeister by the Hospital 🙏

Pick up a few dozens pork, Hot Pork, Hot Beef. The hot was not too spicy but just right! (I like hot food tho) Tamales where Very good. I took them to my grandparents they loved them too. The green salsa full of flavor(a little spicy). The red salsa was traditional (not spicy/warm).. Nice place inside. It was not my first time here or my last.. I will be back. If your thinking of trying this place. DO IT! You won't be disappointed...
