They have expanded their menu, and the food is GREAT! Anytime I'm sick for the Philippines, I visit and eat here. Walking thru the door is just like walking into the Philippines. It is well worth the drive from Louisiana to east here.
This place is so amazing. The food is so good and their give you a large portion. The people are so nice too. Plus it's all so affordable.

Our in-laws were in town, from Chicago - Filipinos, so we decided to taste the home flavors at this location. I do not know all the names of the food types however, we eat them man times over. The highlights of our items were the lechon baboy, the fish and soup, and chicken skewered BBQ. I would eat here again and even take people there to sample the flavors of the Philippines. Give them a try if in the area.

My first time having Filipino food anywhere other than Cali and I wasn't disappointed. The food was delicious and the service was very friendly! The pork adobo and beef steak was DELICIOUS! And that lumpia?!🤤🤤🤤 I'll def be returning!
Great daily choice of fresh cooked Filipino foods, plus a whole store full of hard to find goodies that will make any Pinoy miss home!
Yummy Filipino food. There was a large variety of entrees. Lunch combo includes 2 entrees, unlimited rice, drink and soup, plus dessert for a reasonable price. They were generous with their servings. I had the lechon kawali and kaldereta beef. The dessert of the day was ginataan ma is. So good!;0)
You want authentic? Come to this place! I got us some balut (a.k.a chicken abortion featured in a fear factor episode), dinuguaan (pork blood soup), jeprox (fried dried fish), taho (soy drink with syrup and tapioca).... just to name a few! They have bakery inside too for very reasonable price!!!! We went here for the bakery after eating at Gerry's Grill but found a lot more than I expected! They have more variety of authentic Filipono food.... next time I visit Houston, i think i will skip Gerry's Grill (except for their real coconut juice) for this place instead! More variety of authentic food for a lot cheaper! Btw, i tried Red Ribbon next door and its my least favorite... i enjoyed this place a lot more than Red Ribbon and Gerry's Grill... and I got a really good review for Gerry's grill too! Thank you Pugon de Manila! I got me some food that will last us til tomorrow!!!!
Even if I'm closer to many Filipino restaurants in my area, I still come here because they always have freshly cooked food not the dried up left over look..you know what I talking about. Don't get me wrong, the other restaurants cook good too but here, they have what other Filipino restaurants don't have in town. Service is always nice and your money is always worth for what you pay for.
Delicious food, clean environment, staff are mostly Filipinos. Food is like home and at a reasonable price compared to the time, energy, and money needed to spend to cook a worthy Filipino meal. Great products to that are sold here too. Enjoyed this place, food, staff, and environment. :)
Authentic Filipino cuisine in downtown Houston. Wide variety / great selection of Filipino dishes including traditional favorites.
Price is VERY reasonable -- at around 12 bucks gets you a side of (unlimited refills of) rice, side of soup, two main dishes of your choice, and dessert.
Taste is excellent! I've tried almost everything they have to offer, and they all taste great!
Every time we go there, the store is always neat & tidy. (Even during busy times.)The polite staff are nice people & they keep the restaurant clean.
If you're around downtown Houston, and you feel like getting authentic Filipino food, this is definitely the restaurant to go to.
Great portion and awesome flavor. It's not a 5 star dinning experience, but it's just honest Filipino food and good customer service. Pugon also has pastries and bread to purchase which also taste great. Will come back again.
Was a casual fan before, but am big fan now. This is a great place if you like Filipino food or for those looking to be introduced to the cosine. They've recently expanded their physical store, and it appears an expanded menu along with it. The food is great! Keep it up guys!
Great food! Authentic Filipino food. The staff are very nice. I come here everytime I get a chance to. So if your ever craving great tasting Filipino food, you should this place out.
Very quaint and expected filipino dining facility. Pretty affordable, $8.99 at the time of this review gets 2 mains and white rice. They have other things you can get also the layout feels appropriate. If your filipino, then you'll understand when you walk in. I'm giving this four stars because despite being the first time there I felt comfortable. The food is fine, the atmosphere is familiar and the fact that it's beside other filipino establishments is good to know.
Good service, but the selection of products makes me question the value of making a trip here from Pearland. The selection of goods is much better at 99 Ranch. Still, a good place to stop if one happens to be sampling the local Philippino cuisine in the same shopping center.
