Great place to eat and even better people running it. I highly recommend this places.
Pupusas were delicious! I could have just eaten those but I'm hungry so I also ordered the flautas which were equally as good. Husband had chicken enchiladas and daughter had chile rellenos. We will definitely go back. Owners were friendly and welcoming which made the dinner even better.

Holy Papusas I'm in love!!! Went there for lunch today and had a filling meal for $5, prices are good, food taste great and service is fast. Don't be surprised if the owners are there to greet you at the door, this is a family run restaurant and they are quick to make you feel welcomed. Will definitely be returning in the very near future.
Delicious and fresh food served in a warm and friendly atmosphere. The owners are incredibly kind and accommodating and truly aim to please. This has quickly become our new favorite neighborhood restaurant.

This is one of my favorite places in Houston for pupusas. I’m Salvadorian and these pupusas are some of the best I ever had especially when I ask for them to go. They package it not just with the wrapper but aluminum foil and I think that’s what keeps it cheesy/hot (for reference- they don’t do that everywhere and the cheese is already hard/cold when you take it home… not from here though!). The frijol y queso (bean and cheese) is my usual go-to. The chicken one is great as well.
Today I went with my friend. She wanted tacos and got the stripped fajita ones with avocado and it was so delicious. I saw Tinga on the menu and really wanted some but also wanted pupusas. I asked if they could make a Tinga pupusa and they accommodated. It was so delicious!! This is one of the many perks of it being a Salvadorian-Mexican restaurant. The menu is extensive.
To drink we got some horchatas and an ensalada de fruta “fruit salad” (but it’s a drink. My favorite). My friends LOVED it. Perfect and refreshing for a hot day.

Clean, good food, great flavors, great staff. It small I even thought of driving off but I took a chance and it was worth it. The flavors were spot on. That was the first place to ask how I wanted the fajita cooked. It was tender and delicious flavored.

I informed the waiter that I was on a Keto diet and she was very helpful in recommending a great breakfast with very low carb. Great Customer Service! Very Satisfied with my meal!

Food was delicious, the papusas were nice and soft and the enchiladas were great as well. Their aqua frescas were terrific too.

Really nice quaint feel. Food was delicious and different than what I'm familiar with, but very tasty. Salsa was completely different than most places I've been to. Will definitely be going again!

Food here delicious. You can tell it's made fresh. Try the chicken caldo soup. Karla was great and Santos the owner takes the time to walk around each table to make sure we are doing fine. Eric was very helpful as well.

I stopped in for breakfast while traveling for work. The food was so delicious, the staff was so wonderful and kind and helpful with their recommendations, I can't say enough good things about my experience. I can't recommend El Sol enough! It was so good!! It has been the best food I've had in Houston so far.
Such good pupusas and nice service in a clean establishment! First time trying it yesterday and I couldn’t make up my mind so I got 3 different pupusas, which comes with the cabbage and salsa. DELICIOUS! I also got fried plantains with crema, ALSO DELICIOUS! lastly, I got the sooaipillas with ice cream- I’m biased with sopaipillas coming from NM so those were just ok, but the ice cream was good, topped with cinnamon and caramel maybe? Will def be back!
Amazing customer service from the moment we walked in, got our food in less than 15 min! The food is delicious, I highly recommend and will come back again .
