All the different dishes were such a treat. The seafood was very fresh. The fact that the lobster was live until they cooked. It really made a difference in the quality of the dishes. It wasn’t frozen it was fresh, which was awesome. I was very glad we had an opportunity to come to this establishment. The flat noodles were yummy, the crab fried rice was on point, and the fried lobster was tasty and not over cooked at all. We will definitely come back. I really enjoyed the walnut shrimp dish too, the shrimp were huge.

Weekday dim sum came out quick and hot. Pleasantly surprised they had lunch menu items that were pretty good for the price ~$8 Since dim sum is expensive to eat a bunch of mixing in some noodles and meat dishes from the lunch menu was great. Really liked how open and spacious it is. You don’t feel crowded when sitting down.

We walked in from a recommendation from a local friend. Immediately we were greeted by such kind people and were seated promptly. The place is incredibly clean and I had the absolute blessing of being attended by Miss Helen. Miss Helen was kind, attentive, thorough in her recommendations and above all patient. She essentially held my hand as I navigated the amazing menu explaining what she would recommend and why pertaining to my personal preferences. She was quick. She was kind. She was everything good and honestly a highlight to our Long weekend in Houston. Thank you for making us out of towners feel welcomed, Miss Helen! I already wrote to my parents that we need to come visit you soon.

The dim sum was solid as usual. We ordered the usual dim sum stuff and also the clams were good as well. We loved the ability to park and not have to stand in long lines. Also the dumplings are on point

First I must apologize for posting this review a month ago for Ocean Palace. Same concept but wrong restaurant. Haven't been there in 3 years. Crown Seafood is now our favorite place for dim sum in Houston and we have been here many times over the last few years. It was more fun and authentic pre COVID when you actually ordered from the ladies pushing the steam carts as they walked by, shouting out the various dishes their carts contained, but Crown Seafood has come up with a nice compromise that retains some of the old atmosphere while getting the food to you hotter and fresher than it would have been back in the day. The chicken feet are my personal favorite, but this time we were there for the double lobster special, which we had on a bed of deep fried egg noodles (extra dollars for the noodles but worth it). It was excellent. Prices are higher here for dim sum than they used to be due to the inflation that has affected everyone, but I think they are still cheaper than the handful of other places that do dim sum. If you go around lunch time on the weekend it is extremely busy with long waits, even though it is an enormous restaurant that seats lots of people. It is usually best to go between 1:30pm and 3pm after the rush dies down. They stop serving dim sum at 3pm, but if it is still really busy I have seen them keep on serving. Great food, great service, and great prices.

Probably one of my favorite dim sum and seafood restaurants in the greater Chinatown district in Houston. The service is extremely quick, and the selection and quality of food is amazing. The Dungeness crab was the highlight, and honestly better than anything I’ve had on the west coast. I highly, highly recommend coming here for your seafood and dimsum cravings.

The first time I went there my eyes were definitely bigger than my stomach. I now visit this place about once a month just for dim Sim. The portion size are big, compared to other dim sum places. For the most part all of the food that I or my friends have ordered have been good. Only one or two dishes weren't particularly to our liking. The place can get super crowded on weekends but service goes by pretty quickly. You usually order from the menu and they also have non dim sum food on there too. Price is decent compared to the rest.

4/22/23 - We had a family get-together (four tables) at Crown Seafood. The banquet food was fantastic and so was the service. We will be back. 11/4/22 - Good dim sum. Quick service.

Based on past reviews we chose this place for dim sum brunch and we were not disappointed. This place is very popular and expect a very long queue during weekends and we waited for almost one hour before being seated. The portion of the food are very generous and Texan. Price is reasonable and service is good. I would rate 8.5 for the har-gaw and feng-zhao chicken feet. Cheung-fun is okish but better than other places in Texas. Beef tripe is ok-ish and perhaps better with more seasoning. A bit too much starch in the beef meatball and beef flavor is lacking. Overall authenticity-wise this is a decent dim sum place in Texas area.

Food is great, wait time can be long on weekends 15-30 minutes, but the food and service was fast. A+++ price are cheap too for the amount you get.

crown seafood is one of my family's fav spots for dim sum in chinatown! we've literally been going for years! this place doesn't have the best reviews or service but that's how you know it's authentic lol. we got there today at 10 am a lil before it opened and there was a large crowd of ppl waiting not surprised since it is thanksgiving. we ordered our usual dim sum dishes which included har gow, xiu mai, some fried plates, seafood congee, and buns. everything came out quickly and was so yummy. if i could order the whole menu trust me i would! we also ordered the steamed rice noodle w shrimp and the chicken feet w black bean sauce but they forgot ab our order so we ended up just canceling those dishes what we got: - steamed shrimp dumplings/har gow - steamed pork xiu mai - steamed shrimp xiu mai - fried shrimp balls - fried glutinous rice dumplings - baked bbq buns - baked custard cream buns - seafood congee ig: @whatsviveating

In little Saigon, their dim sum is the best. Their Chinese sausage roll, egg custard and XO stir fried rice noodles are impressed me. Besides, you can grab an authentic cup of Hong Kong milk tea here too 😋😋😊😊😊 Moreover, comparing of other dim sum restaurant in this neighborhood, they pay more attention on restaurant's hygiene, it's hardly to see crusts or crumbles on the floor👍👍👍

My favorite restaurant in Houston for Chinese dim sum Yum Cha and seafood dinner. Delicious food great service. Great venue for family gatherings or group events, especially since they are open on major holidays when others are closed. Last time we ate here, we had the $278 for 10 people set menu and added a couple more dishes as we had 13 people (all sat at one table). All of the dishes were good. The lobster 🦞, the chicken, and the steam fish are among my favorites. My most favorite dish was the steamed crab rice (don’t remember if it was part of the set menu or one of the items we added). The rice was really yummy with all of the carb juices in it. The total bill came out to be very reasonable for a sumptuous dinner for more than a dozen people.

This is a great establishment. They have a wide variety of dishes to choose from. The wait staff is friendly and attentive. The portions are huge, and we always have a take home bag off of a regular order. The physical setting is very attractive, and while it can get crowded the tables are far enough apart you can still have a conversation at normal speaking volume.

If you are in the market for some authentic dim sum, you have found it. Saturday and Sunday is very busy so be patient as there will be a wait time. But trust when I say the wait is worth it. All the food is very tasteful and the prices are normal. On the weekends they have a lobster special, try it! The ginger garlic is so flavorful. You will leave licking your fingers.

Delicious dim sum. We came at the end of the day so the menu selection was limited which we expected based on sun sun being more a brunch experience. Large space. Great flavors. We’ll definitely come back to taste the full menu.

Overall, a good experience. The portions are big! The shrimp 🍤 items were fresh tasting. ✅ Dumplings, tea, and service ✅ Chinese broccoli and squid dish were ok. Wouldn’t get again. ❌ Bathroom was a bit gross. Used toilet paper on the ground and some poop stains left on the toilet seat from nasty customers. The food wasn’t super fantastic for me in particular but I liked everything equally overall. ⚠️ Be prepared to pay a nice penny for the food.

Best dim sum in town, hands down! I’ve tried them all but Crown is my weekly/bi weekly dim sum restaurant. I’ve had family style dinners here too and the dungeoness crab and lobster is delicious!! I appreciate that it’s clean and everything is made to order.
