I try not to let other reviews bias my own but yes employees seem cold and distant and prefer to keep talking to a minimum. I am also like that but customer service should not. I knew what I wanted before I walked in and got it. Anyway, everybody should skip the pastries and bread products and pick up a Sans Rival cake. It is the best cake I've ever had and I typically dislike them.
The Sans Rival and ube cake are delicious 😋
First time I had a fresh baked chicken empanada! It was so good! I always have family fly them in from Virginia. The place is small it is best to pick up and go. They only have one table and 3 chairs. The workers were friendly.
Pros: The palabok is my favorite here.
Cons: I dont buy cakes here, theyre dry. Also the brazos de mercedes tastes weird— i swear i can taste lemon in it as if they squeezed lemon flavoring in it. Didnt taste like expected. I now buy cake from my neighbor who bakes them from scratch and to order so it’s always fresh.
My son needed to pick up some baked goods for some kind of function where his wife worked and he introduced me to this Filipino bakery. He picked up a few dozen plain and mocha mamons. Think of these as a flatter broader cupcake and they taste similar to sponge cake. I got me one of the mocha mamon cupcakes and it was very tasty. They have cakes and empanadas and i may need to further educate myself on Filipino sweets.
Wooow! If you love empanadas you will definitely fall in love with this place, perfect flavors and spices used for all of their empanadas, they have other bakery options that are good as well but their signature is definitely the empanadas!
Cravings for some Filipino breads? The answer to that is Red Ribbon!. It's finally here in Texas! We love the ensaymada, its so fluffy, soft and super delicious! And who would never forget their famous POLVORON!. So yummy!
Wow, this is like heaven to me to be in Red Ribbon Houston! Shouting out Red Ribbon, please open one in Dallas, Texas! I just love Red Ribbon!
I ordered this cake for one of my good friend’s birthday. It was my first time trying out Ube cake - it was a pleasant experience!! Red Ribbon Bakeshop adhered to all the health protocols during this pandemic, thank you! I will definitely come back.
Pastries are delicious but prices are a little high , even higher than other Red Ribbon out of the state and the store is too small .
Filipino baked goods and small plates. Tasty, fresh and convenient.
Having visited several Red Ribbon bakery stores in the Philippines it was interesting to compare them with this one in Houston. While much smaller than the Red Ribbon we visited in Las Vegas we still found it to be as good as other Red Ribbon stores we have visited. The staff is always friendly and all the items up to the level of their other stores. We make sure to visit them if we have time when we are in Houston.
Ok the mango madness is good light and fluffy so good and there empanadas beef or chicken both are good
Got a ube slice it was delicious. Not too sweet just perfect
I loved this place. ❤ Everything looks good and delicious!
