Been here a few times and find it to be a great place to drink a beer and socialize. They have a vast selection of middle range scotches and Irish whisky's. The service is top notch. They have a crew that knows there business and handles it. The wall O' beer has a great selection of local beer as well as a few imports. Definitely recommend this place for a pit stop.

This establishment has a good selection of beer as well as a full bar. The patio is nice, but since it built in an old bank building, and you may opt to go inside and sit inside a the vault. I've been a few times and the bartenders are always polite and attentive.

This place is awesome. Great Scotch selection, friendly wait staff, and good craft beer. Normally pretty solid crowd. I went tonight and meet an English guy, a group of Scottish guys, and a group of Australians. Really cool pub, would definitely recommend.

Best place to find Unibroue on draft and other Belgian Brews. Not a fan of the clientele but I do enjoy the decor.

Such a cool dive. Bank vault, WHAT! Drinks were fast and delicious and they even allow outside food. Bartender is so funny and sweet. She makes a damn good drink, too. Looking forward to many more visits!

This repurposed old bank is pretty cool. Lots of beer on tap, a nice-sized bar/counter. There's seating available in the old vault too. The bartender was super sweet. I will definitely be back.

Place has good atmosphere, reasonably priced drinks, friendly bartender , and the coupke with the cute dog makes it always interesting. The seller is inside the vault where it's the most comfortable seating I have ever sat at and looks like couches from an actual house

Good beer selection with cool decor, previous bank vault. Good prices along with their nice selection. Great spot for a group with ample comfortable seating. A tough geocache can be found near by in the parking lot as well.

Kelvin Arms is a great bar with a unique design. The lounge area of the bar is located inside of an old bank vault which is definitely cool and helps separate it from the other bars in the area. They offer a full bar and will make any shots you want, but my go-to is the $2 lone star (I'm cheap like that). They have darts and pool as well if you feel like playing a game or two. My only critique of the place is that sometimes it gets really busy and it's hard to find seating. If they could find a way to extend the lounge area so there were more couches I'd definitely visit more often. I still recommend it though if you're looking for a place in Rice Village that won't break the bank.

This really is a place you should experience. You will become a "regular" after your first visit. The bar is comfortable, the people are welcoming, and the service is excellent 😁. This is a place where you will feel safe, and everyone (including the staff) will quickly become your friend. CHEERS!

Thursday night steak night! The steak dinner might be priced a little high around $18, but worth it after a long week. $2 Lonestar and steak night is the way to go. Very laid back place, with a smaller crowd. The atmosphere is a little different with one room being an old bank vault with no windows and unique seating, the main room/bar, and the back room with a pool table. The bar next door attracts a much larger crowd, but this place is worth checking out.

A really nice low key bar. It is currently under new ownership and undergoing a few renovations. They have TVs and pool table. They have a small patio in the front. The drinks are reasonably priced as well.

A quiet bar with a good selection of whiskey, scotch, borboun, and beers. The price is as expected for the area, so don't expect cheap drinks. It's a fine bar to chat with buddies over a few, with plenty of parking and has never been crowded or too loud any of the times I patronised the place.

The first time I came here, I was very surprised on how chill this place is, especially the next door establishment can be loud and crowded. The second thing you'll notice is the knight's armor guarding an opened vault door on your right. Kelvin Arms is labeled as Houston's only Scottish pub. I never been to Scotland so I have no idea what a Scottish pub is like. But if every Scottish pub has a vault and the inside of the vault is an awesome library room, then I'm down for it. In fact, the vault's library theme room is by far, the best place for group of friends to come for a drink and hang out because 1. it's a big area with couches, tables and seats for different party sizes, and most of all, a quiet area where you can actually hear what your friends are talking about. At the bar area, there's definitely a good selection of beers on tap and the over all price for the drinks (including mix drinks) are decent price. Near the back of the bar is the pool table area along with dart board, but honestly, once you sit your butt down in the library room with your drink, you do not feel like getting up at all. In fact, there should be a Scottish butler to come and serve the customers in the library room as that's the only thing it's lacking, but only one can dream. You have to know that they don't have food unless it's steak night. Of course, you can always BYOF (Bring Your Own Food) or order from local pizza joints as they know where to deliver the pizza. As a person who doesn't come to Rice Village much for social drinking, I say Kelvin Arms is still a good place for a group of friends to hang out inside the vault with nice, cozy air condition and fans cooling the room. If you have out of town friends who just want to sit down, relax, have a drink, and want to catch up, this would be the place to take them to.

Great neighborhood bar. Has a great selection of beer and liquor, but has an amazing selection of scotch. Customer service is awesome and the setup fits the theme of the bar nicely.

Fun,cozy pub with a fun "Vault" that you can reserve for private parties. It has an outside patio so you can enjoy the fresh air as well. The staff always seems friendly.

Good beer selection, decent mixed drinks. The addition of a back room without music is a godsend if you just want to drink and chat with friends without having to talk over the music.
