i visited a few times when it was called al vetro and remember it being good. the name has changed and the space has been updated and the coffee drinks remain outstanding. i usually hate pumpkin spice anything because i’ve always found it overrated but this morning i was inspired to try an iced PSL, and it is 10/10. someone else wrote the drinks and milk used is smooth and that’s exactly how i would describe my drink. will try the pastries next time!

The coffee is great though I’m speaking as a complete novice in all matters coffee . My experience was great as the ladies took great care of me . I had the golden milk latte with oat milk . Really appreciate them having a good variety of milks like almond , coconut, and oat. If you’re in the medical center , this place is great for a quick break . I forgot yo mention that they make an awesome blueberry yogurt - must have !

A hidden gem of a coffee shop in the middle of Scurlock Tower of Houston Methodist - 2nd floor across from gift shop and cafeteria. Very nice baristas and they offer nitro cold brew! It was delicious and they let me know it's black and strong so I dressed it with half and half and asked for whipped cream. Wow ❤️ it.

UPDATE: The coffee shop has changed to Blackwater. It is still a 5 star coffee shop. They have updated the decor and made a little more room. The coffee is very good and the service is top notch. While I miss the old shop this is definitely a worthy replacement! This is by far the best coffee shop I have been to in the country. The staff is very friendly and the coffee is delicious!

10/10 coffee. I come here once or twice every week. I wish I asked the barista her name. The employees are so friendly, food is great, and drinks are even better. This is my favorite coffee shop to get an iced americano! -Sarah

They pour a hell of a cup of coffee, their espresso was fresh and well flavored. The shot was pulled clean and their in store offerings in way of pastry is very delicious. Overall will be back again! Can't forget to mention their pensionable baristas!

One of my favorite, if not my absolute favorite, coffee shops in Houston! Coffee is consistently superb, and the owner and staff are all very pleasant. There is limited seating though, and even fewer power outlets, but it is awesome nonetheless; a great little coffee shop.

When it comes to coffee in Houston there are many options, from fancy to hipster, but this is my favorite. The coffee is always top notch, and the staff remember you and the drinks you order. Plus it has a very comfortable atmosphere for anyone.

So happy this coffee shop is still open! Their coffee is delicious! I love their plain almond milk latte, but their syrups are also great too!

Best coffee in the med center! They know their stuff and source quality beans from a local roaster (who also really knows his stuff). Friendly staff will learn your "usual". Pastries are available. Seating is limitted but comfy. Free WiFi has good speed. Watch out for pricing when you order lots of "extras".

So happy that I slightly modified the path I usually take to get to the Starbucks in the Marriot next door, otherwise I may have never stumbled upon this place. Hand pulled espressos made by a true barista. You can tell these guys love coffee and do a great job preparing it. I will be back!

Location crosswalk/2nd floor between Marriott entrance and Scurlock Parking elevators Workers rate it as #1, even a treat Specialities not found elsewhete, e.g. Golden, Breve (1/2-1/2 steamed = rich outcome) and others on a chalk board. Wish open weekends! Snacks are wonderful and varied to any taste Only the persnickety would judge them less than 5 Stars

Best coffee in med center, hands down! Be forewarned, it is addictive and you will feel the caffeine energy from their drinks. 2nd floor of Scurlock, near the entrance into Marriott hotel

Hands down best coffee in the hospital. Worth the walk from other buildings. So much better than cafeteria or those starbucks-lite shops. Closes at 4:30pm and isn't open on weekends so that's rough.

Excellent little coffee shop. I miss it on weekends when I'm not at work. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They also have a pumpkin spice latte available year round!!!
