You go in and wait to be seated. They serve you chips and salsa. The food menu items are delicious. My son loved the food. My daughters love the ambiance. They serve good drinks. Waiters are courteous some are bilingual and they've all been kind. The restrooms are clean. Only give it 4 stars because of parking it can be difficult to park especially on the weekends.

This is a great Mexican restaurant with authentic Mexican food. I have been coming to Alma Latina for a long time and the renovations are wonderful. Loperiod the food is good as ever but the atmosphere is a 100 times better. This is a must try if you're in the northeast side of Houston. I didn't take pictures of our food we were hungry and it would look so good. You will not be dissatisfied if you make the trip just for this food. I recommend the fajitas they are great. No

I Have Much To Say About This Place. They Treated Me Amazingly. I Was Extremely Hungry When I Entered This Establishment. They Are Located In An Area Where Finding Good Food For A Vegan Diet I Extremely Difficult. I Was Walking & Carrying A Very Heavy Backpack & Had Not Eaten All Day. I Entered & Asked If They Had Vegetales Because I Am Vegan. The Lady, Who I Believe May Have Been The Manager Asked Me If I Wanted Broccoli & Carrots, Things Like That. I Replied Yes! Emphatically. You Can Be Surprised At The Places That Do Not Even Have This. I Asked For Avocado Also. I Sat Down & Remember Fries, So I Ordered Some Of Those Too. After A While, The Brought Me A First Course Of Noodle Souple Chips & Salsa... Piping Hot... Oh My, I Was Jaw Dropped... These Were So Good To Me. Then They Brought Out A Medley Of Vegetables, Avocado & Fries. I Ate So Well. At The End Of It All, With An Extra Large Drink Was $17. This Place Is A Diamond. Thank You For Your Kind, Thorough & Thoughtful Service ♡ I Left With A Full Belly.

Overall, it was an enjoyable place to eat. Fairly authentic and some really nice options. The beans have some type of flavoring in them that all of us picked up on and they did not work for anyone at the table. The beans were also very thin and slightly watery. Rice was excellent and the tostada was great. The ceviche oysters were excellent but I should have ordered only half a dozen instead of a dozen because they are rich and should definitely be treated like an appetizer to be shared around the table. Only one or maybe two English speaking people in the restaurant, which is perfectly fine with us, but just don't go without understanding that. For some people this can be frustrating but for us we loved it because it felt like a traditional experience and traditional food versus just some standard Mexican/American restaurant. Also, as one last note, when you're ordering between Mexican style and Tex-Mex style, Mexican style options the meat comes on the side and not inside the food. For instance, you get cheese enchiladas and then the grilled spicy chicken is on the plate separately, not in the enchilada. It is also not nearly a saucy when you order Mexican style as it is when you order Tex-Mex.

Wonderful place, but they must have changed the cook or vendor because the Fajita don't taste the same. The drinks are great.. My fav is The Paloma... It's a must try! The waitresses are good, but sometimes they are more focused on the big tables and take a while to get to the table with 2 guest .. The atmosphere is always great! I will always be a client, I have been going to that location since 1998

Food was good. Flautas (rolled fried corn tortilla filled with chicken) plate was very well served. It had a great flavor. Milanesa (breaded thin steak) was good...the flavor was amazing. Definitely recommend it. The tea was fantastic.

Absolutely the best Mexican restaurant I've been to north of the border. The atmosphere is authentic and the staff are friendly curious and punctual. I get the sense that I'm truly appreciated just for being here. Definitely a go to for now on.

Arrived, ordered and received food all within 15 minutes. I do agree (as mentioned in other reviews) waitresses are not attentive as they should be. We were not checked on at all, but we had everything we needed. Food was delish. 😋
