Nice costumer service. I received wrong order then they let me keep it and gave my own order too.
The best Colombian Food in town In my opinion. Best prices too. I always drive across town just to go get their Big Plato Paisa. Nothing beats their Food. You get a lot of food for fair prices.
Paisa BBQ is less of a restaurant and more of a fast food style stationary food truck for food to take to-go. You never go “inside”, it’s a small place and You order your food at a little window, wait sometime between 10-20 minutes and then they call your name to get your order and you’re on your way. The menu is straight forward and has a lot of options. We’ve been here many many times and I almost always order the Paisa burger. It’s so good and filling. It’s a great size and it’s so flavorful. My husbands favorite is the bandeja paisa, not only is it a great portion size but it’s also a great price. We’ve also tried many other things on the menu and have never been disappointed. It’s definitely a “hole in the wall” type place, not exactly fancy or nice. But the food is really good. I’d say one thing that could use a lot of work is the customer service. They aren’t really friendly or helpful, and can sometimes be dismissive, which are all bad qualities to have as a business.
The amazing super good delicious good costs friendly people always nice place to eat
The wait is LONG, the quality and portions of the food are good, prices aren’t bad, customer is service is meh. I’ll still give them 5 ⭐️
If you are looking at an interesting and flavorful twist from your normal fast food experience, El Paisa BBQ is your place. It is a small take-out only Colombian food kitchen situated in a strip shopping center parking lot that is located on Richmond between Jeanetta and Tanglewilde.
The service is not fast as the food is cooked when the order is placed and takes between 15 and 20 minutes to prepare depending upon the amount of other customers placing orders.
There are several Colombian burger and hot dog variations served with fries. One member of our group tried the Paisa Perro, a hotdog variation from the Paisa region in NW Colombia. It was sweet and juicy and rated as the best hotdog this person had ever sampled. The Paisa Perro was reasonably priced at $3.
The rest of our group tried various meats (chicken, beef steak and pork) grilled Colombian style and served aboard a large and delicious arepa (a corn based, circular bread about 1/2 inch thick). The meats were well seasoned and were complimented by the moist and chewy arepa. These meat/arepa dishes go for between $5 and $7 depending on whether you order a regular or large size. Pork belly, chorizo dishes and blood sausage were also on the menu but there were not enough members in our group to sample the full menu.
For appetizers, we order the empanadas. That was the best decision of the night. Many places make very good empanadas and in my humble opinion, the El Paisa empanadas rate up there with the best. Each empanada is very reasonably priced at $1.
A variety of Jugos Naturales (natural juice) were available for a beverage with either a milk or water base. We tried the Blackberry and the Tamarindo constituted with water. The flavor was wonderful. At home, I added a few ounces of spiced rum to my Blackberry juice with very pleasing results.
I would rate the food as 5 stars, the service as 3 stars and the overall value and enjoyment as 4 stars.
This place has some of the best burgers I have ever tasted. Their empanadas are $1 and really good. You do have to wait a bit, so don't come here on a rush. It's a cool place to come with friends late night to grab something to munch on.

This place is the bomb! Never tried columbian food untill I ate here (there's just no Colombians on the north side (lol)) And now I can't stop eating this stuff. Definitely should try if you haven't already
Ooooo this colombian food is mouthwatering and finger licking 😊. I've never stopped to any place like this or had columbian food. The girl at front desk was amazing and very helpful.
I'm glad I've been there and I would definitely recommend this place. Btw I came from dallas and this place was a late night craving find🥰👍
I only tried the $1 empanadas both times I went here. They were very good, and a decent size. They take about 5-7 minutes to come out and the staff was friendly.
The food was awesome 🔥🔥 great service also, will be back!
Love this place. They’re super nice to you as long as you bring positive energy. The food is very authentic especially since it’s a food truck. The “Bandeja paisa special” tastes better than what you would get at most Colombian restaurants.
Since the management changed, the food does taste like Colombian food. Even the staff is nicer and more organized than before. My family and I have been coming here for years and now we won’t stop
This place is unforgettable. Great people that work here and that amazing energy is soaked in the food that will leave you fulfilled (physically, and emotionally). Everyone in tye staff reminds me of being in a true family environment. I will always order food as long as they are here. The culture they uphold is felt in each bite, and I thank them for the quality. You have to try their maracoya (passion fruit) drink, the absolute best. Im grateful for their dedication to quality food. The absolute BEST!
First time here food was great very tasty 😋
Delicious Colombian food, and its open late.
Love coming here with my parents and sharing empanadas and arepitas together. We have been coming for years now and never noticed an issue with the customer service. We call to order when we are on our way to reduce the wait time!
The food is really good 👍 😋 we drive from Cypress to South west, we ❤️ the mojarra frita, las arepitas con carne y queso, and the bandeja paisa.
