Nice little hole in the wall we found, the area where it's located is definitely sus, don't come alone, haha. The Viet food is definitely authentic and tasty, not the best I've had in the area but it's got a couple of food items I've not had anywhere else. First of all, the customer service is really good, nice old lady who greets you and treats everyone the same, she was so endearing. Got the combo plate No.17 which gives you a small taste of a few yummy Vietnamese items and they are all so good. My Fav item is the Banh Ram It, like mochi on on a crunchy rice shrimp cracker. It was so good I got another full plate of just that!! Everything else was just short of awesome. I would've liked to try the Pho and the Bun Ba Hue, but honestly these items filled me up for sure. I will definitely come back to try the other items, especially bc the prices here are really reasonable. Give it a try, it gets busy for a reason.
I was craving for banh beo chen . Came on Friday lunch time - wasn't busy. Food are great. I ordered both types of banh beo and also the combination plate of banh ram it and bot LOC. Was super delicious 😋!!! Salted lemon drink was awesome too! We ate a lot! $15min for credit card btw
A tasty hole in the wall place for central Vietnamese food. We ordered number 17 (combo) and the banh uot thit nuong. The banh ram was my favorite of the things we tried, and the banh beo was also delicious. Everything tasted super fresh! I will definitely come back to visit again.
Parking was fine but it’s in a sketchy looking strip mall so I probably wouldn’t visit this place at night.
Store is quite small. Around 10 tables. We came on Sunday noon and it was full. But they quickly seated us as soon as customers left. We ordered rice cake with shredded shrimp, rice cake with pork and shrimp, bun bo Hue and spicy clam vermicelli. It was for 3 of us. I recommend you should order rice cake first since it is fast for them to serve. The noodle might take longer. Everything is good but I don’t feel it is authentic Hue cuisine.
Great Huế dishes!!! We try cơm hến, bún bò Huế, bún chả cá, bánh ướt. They are all phenomenal. Coffee, and chè đậu ngự are good too. One of the rare places serves it with filter (not premade). Decent place, good price, and wide selection.
Yet, this is one of the few places that gets cơm hến and bún bò Huế right. The broth for both is right on money. They're highly recommended.
They have great banh beo and banh uot. Service can be a bit slow but the old lady who runs around and takes the orders is very sweet and does her best. The area is does feel unsafe as there are homeless people about. Be cautious.
I love the lady that works there, she’s so sweet. The banh bot loc is always consistent here.
Dong Ba restaurant on Beechnut serves truly authentic Hue food. I love their banh beo, banh it ram, bun bo Hue, and mi Quang. This is the best place to enjoy these dishes in all of Houston.
This is the place to eat Banh Beo, Ram It, etc. It was so delicious. I want wait to come back.
Pho was great but the noodles were cooked too long so it would break once I tried to pick it up with the chopsticks.
When we arrived for lunch this place was packed and we had to wait for a table. After reading reviews online about waiting I don’t get why people are upset about it. They only have one wait staff and she was an older lady, and she was hilarious and very caring. When we got our table we ordered bun Bo hue, banh coun thit, banh beo and banh IT Ram. Everything was very delicious and very affordable. We all left very full and happy. Highly recommend this place and be understanding because they are short on staffs.
Foods were very good. O Be, the waitress was really nice and helpful. Best Ram It, I had in a long time
banh beo were so fresh and yummy! ladies here were super sweet. it’s a mom and pop shop and they seemed pretty popular so be patient with them as they are trying their best. give them a try! will come back next time to try other banh
Small restaurant. Limited services, however, they served the best authentic Vietnamese food that keep us come back all the time.
The food here definitely worth a drive direct from the airport! Best dishes are bánh ram (menu #6) with its thinly crispy ram to break your teeth for and bánh canh tôm cua (menu #10) with its light broth and fresh contents.
This restaurant serves authentic Huề dishes from Central Vietnam. You can get the “Thap Cam” for a sample of Bánh Bẻo and Bánh Rán, etc.
Good portion, fresh ingredients. I'm used to getting heavier tasting Bun Bo Hue. But this place offers an interesting version of the dish. The mint leaves and pickled Thai chilli gave the soup a much lighter note. Enjoyed it!
