Some of the best barbeque chicken I've had in my life, and I love to cook and eat some chicken! This is the kind of barbeque to leave you asking your boss, "let me leave early so I can get some BBQ before they run out!" I made the mistake of driving past the closed truck for months and not getting through traffic fast enough.

This has to be the best BBQ in Houston. I'm from Phoenix Az. And this place has better BBQ then anywhere in my home state. Also must try the potato salad. It is the best I have ever had. I only wish I lived close by to have some more BBQ. The brisket was so moist and tender. This is truly delicious BBQ. not much to see from the outside. But the BBQ won't disappoint

Lived in Kansas City for years so I have had some great barbecue in my life. We have relatives who recently moved to Houston, and wile visiting them, we found this gem. It was my all time favorite brisket. Amazing bark; incredible smoked flavor and the juiciest marbling ever! Everything else we tried was solid as well: Ribs; beans; dirty rice; and potato salad. And the owner and all staff were incredibly nice and clearly care about the food they prepare. This place is worth a drive!!! And we will definitely return every time we visit our family in Houston.
The brisket was fantastic and flavorful. Overall ,I'd recommend eating here.

Had the double loaded boudin. I read an article about this place and had to go try it for myself. It was delicious! The flavor combination went very well together. One of the staff members said they use DJ's boudin out of Beaumont. This is a must try dish. The staff was very friendly and inviting.
Excellent BBQ. Ordered 4lbs brisket, 3lbs ribs, two whole chickens, and beans, slaw, and potato salad for our party. Food was great and all guest enjoyed it.
We had a minor issue at pick up with the order not being fulfilled exactly, but they made it right and even threw in an extra half pound of brisket to make up for it.
It’s a small family owned business in a hole in the wall strip mall. You wouldn’t come here for the atmosphere or to dine in with a large group, but the food is excellent and the prices are reasonable, so perfect for takeout. Will order from here again.
Oh my god… a friend and I googled “Best BBQ” while driving around western Houston and… as of today, I’m telling you it’s in Alief (until they inevitably expand one day.) The gentlemen running this little shop make an INCREDIBLE meal. We ordered two of these sampler plates and… every bit was delicious! They do an AMAZING job and I can’t wait to recommend them to friends for … whatever! Visits. Catering. You name it. Loved it and I’ll definitely be back!!

Texas Monthly did a piece on this hidden gem recently. Saw the article that morning, pulled up that afternoon. The place sits in a old shopping strip and that might discourage anybody. Once you get through that, the magic begins. Anyplace that has ready pagers and a consistent flow of patrons has to be the real deal! The food and the ambiance is a mismatch!
The haul:
Spicy two link boudin stuffed. (Yeah you read it right!) drink and chips.
Sausage with beans and dirty rice.
(Also two drinks and two deserts from Mama Mims. More on that later)
Understand this. If you would have told me that two boudin links could be split open and stuffed with chopped beef brisket, cheese, chives and sour cream in a baked potato container could work???? I would have called flag on the play. But naaaaaaw! This dish is like one of the greatest things I have ever tasted! The boudin has a great spice level. Might be a bit too much for some, but great for me. The toppings almost made me believe I was eating a baked potato. The combo is a hit!
Even the sausage plate was fresh and homemade. Nothing frozen. Made to order. Just how we all like it!
Mow Mama Mias is a separate entity from the restaurant, but that peach cobbler and that strawberry cheesecake was fire as well!
Basically, sometimes you have to go to the hole in the wall to get some of the best food sometimes. Wort a trip to the S.W.A.T to see the truth!
Guillorys should be on any Best of Houston BBQ list: the ribs, potato salad and lemon cake are magical. The ribs have a nice thick smoke ring, and the meat is caramelized to the point of almost being candied. The dill potato salad almost has a deviled egg taste in a very good way, and the lemon cake is super lemony and moist. The chicken and sausage are nice and smoky for slow smoke fans, and the wet cut brisket is a nice contrast. The 3 meat plate is one of the best deals in Houston in 2022. The loaded potatoes were also excellent, but the 3 meat plate: fuggedaboutit. The Guillory family are doing great things. Each of the 5 million people that have read these reviews should eat at Guillorys.
In the area and was surprised how close it was to this place. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Had their special. Chicken and Brisket were really tender and had a nice flavor to them both. Sausage was a little dry but still had a nice taste to it. Potato salad was on point. We got a pecan pie too! Reminded me of my grandmothers. 😊
Amazingly good ribs and brisket. We found this place on our drive west of Houston and struck gold by coming here. Don’t miss the boudin. Not a fancy place, but top notch food served by warm and gracious people. Not to be missed

Great place to get BBQ and also you can get a great chesseburger and fries. The owner Mr. Guillory and his family are awesome people and they make great barbecue and treat me like family. Great southwest Houston spot to eat, don’t miss it!!!

Awesome loaded potato! It was BIG, loaded with brisket and a nice amount of melted cheese & customer service was 👍 great! We were visiting from Fort Worth but next time we are in town we'll be heading over to Guillorys!
