Amazing food! The servers helped describe the food and what tasted best! They brought naan and chips and a flat naan to our table. The servers were very helpful to us and never let our water cups go empty!! They helped us pick foods and made sure we liked it (which we did; loved it). Would definitely recommend and come back again! This will be my new favorite Indian restaurant in the west Houston area
The flavors are amazing and the buffet has so many delicious options. You MUST try the pickled mango and cauliflower. Try ALL the chutneys! The food alone is worth a revisit, but what made me fall in love with this place is the staff. I accidentally arrived too early for my lunch meeting and said I would be back in 30 min. The lovely staff member said, "you will do no such thing- relax, have some salad while you wait, no one will ask why you are sitting"

We have tasted a variety of items here and every time we are happy with what we have ordered so far. You cannot go wrong. But, they are closed on Sundays. Also, you can bring your own booze here which is a plus.
Ate lunch here for the first time, and it was amazing!!! Husband and I had the buffet which was so delicious! It was all good quality, authentic Indian food! The staff was also very friendly, and over all was a great atmosphere! We will definitely be making this our go-to Indian restaurant!
Food was excellent! The taste was very close to what you get in India. I have visited this restaurant three times in a week already. The dishes on their buffet changes everyday and I loved all the dishes I have tried there so far. No preservatives and very clean environment. Wish I could give them more stars. Hope they keep up the taste.
I love Indian food at Amma's. They make it to your taste, mild or spicy. The service is awesome, very helpful staff. We visit here often for great dine in experience and also order to go orders for my family. Must eat lunch time buffet. Highly recommend.
Excellent food! This is a great place for lunch buffet and dinner. The quality of the food is very good and can tell that they are serving fresh food and not frozen or reheated. Their dry fruit special ice cream is a must try. I heard they will be shortly serving Indian style ice creams. Can’t wait to try. Will definitely recommend this place to everyone!
We stopped in here by chance for a late lunch and are really glad we did. The food was excellent and we tried almost everything (buffet style). The staff was very friendly and even took the time to explain some of the dishes along with the customary timing for eating them during the meal. I've eaten a lot of Indian food in the past at a lot of places but learned something new today. :) We will certainly be back and would recommend this place to anyone looking for a wonderful meal.
I have been to most of the Indian Restaurants in the Greater Houston Area and this one is the best in terms of authenticity of the food and quality of the food. Indian food comes in lots of flavors and spice levels and you normally choose it based on your liking.
For starters I recommend to start with their Lunch Buffet and move on to a la cart once you are fa miler with the names. I highly recommend and and You will love it---

Great buffet for lunch. They rotate menu items so it is always something new. I like it so you can always try new things. Very good food and they will make your adosa fresh and bring it to your table. Very friendly people And clean. Top notch authentic Indian food.
Amma's Kitchen is by far the most authentic South Indian restaurant in the Greater Houston area. The buffet is delicious and the service is amazing!

This is my go to for Indian food on the west side of Houston. Delicious food and good portions at great prices. Their lunch buffet is awesome too. This is one of the places where Indian food has not been Americanized. Authentic, and tastes just the way it does back home.
Prawn fry is too good. Loved the work of Chef Anil on Goat curry and Tangy fish curry 👍👍👌👌
I am a vegetarian and was a regular customer to Amma's nearly for 10 months. Excellent food and customer service. My Non-Veg friends like the chicken 555 the most. The main chef is multi-lingual and pay attention to different taste buds of the customers...

I have only been for lunch buffet, so I can’t speak for non buffet.. the buffet keeps changing, so I get to try so many dishes I would never get to try otherwise. Fantastic! Can’t recommend highly enough. Staff very friendly too.

Tried the buffet and it was good. Some dishes tasted great especially sambar and some dry chicken dishes are good. They have breakfast like pongal which is great but the upma is not, well it's not hot so no judgement there. Special mention to the desserts especially carrot halwa and rava laddu is full of sugar. But the customer service is great, they patiently waited for us to eat even though it's past their closing time and waited till we are satisfied. I really liked the service.
Raju and his staff cooked up an incredible meal and experience. The food had all the right amount of spice, temperature and exceptional taste. I highly recommend anyone seeking a first class Indian Cuisine to dine at Amma’s Kitchen.

The food though, is beyond delicious! My compliments to the chef for the smashing flavors and amazing scents.
