Mom and pop type of establishment, so expect a little language barrier with slow service, but good delicious quality food. Everything we had was pretty solid, from the seafood pancake to soups, meats and dumplings. Would I go out my way for this hole in the wall? Maybe if I craved it enough.

If you’re looking for some good Korean food with real taste you need to try this place. I had the mando guk (만두국) and my wife had the son dooboo jjigae (순두부 지개). This was by far the best I’ve had and I’ve tried so many places between Portland Oregon to Mississippi. Give this place a shot you won’t regret it. 😋

Awesome place for authentic Korean food with good service and a simple environment. We ordered the seafood pancake because of other reviews and we not disappointed. We also ordered the pan fried dumplings, so yummy and so well made. Last we ordered the bip in bop; the meat was flavorful, the rice was delicious and the sides were great. Our first real introduction to Korean food has kept us talking about it for days, thank you for taking such good care of us and cooking some amazing cuisine!

We came here on a week night and for some delicious Korean food. We ordered the BBQ Robs and the Spicy Pork. Everything was fresh and tasty.

🤤🤤🤤 the food was amazingly delicious. This is exactly what I’ve been looking for when trying Korean food. The restaurant vive is very home like with Mom and Pop running it. Don’t let the area discourage you from coming out and eating here. I definitely will be back.

First off... This is in the hood.. So lock your car. Secondly, this place is cash only; there is, however, a Chase ATM a couple miles into the hood so if you are feeling brave and have a bullet proof vest and really want Korean food, you can get cash there. Now to the food, the portions are decently sized. We order the bugolgi and kalbi and they were both relatively flavorful. The sides weren't as great as we had hope but they did give us some variety. Houston's Korea Town isn't as big as NYC, or LA or even Dallas but this is one of the few places you can get decent Korean food. It isn't all-you-can-eat like other places but they get the foods and sides out pretty quick, depending on the time. When we went, there were only 2 older ladies running the tables so even though we got our service quickly, we did notice some tables not getting served as hastily. Also, the barley tea is bomb; considering how hot it is in there, get it ice cold.

Absolutely delicious!! I can't say enough to express how tasty the food is! Very well made and very pretty to look at which is always a pleasure! I wish I had taken a picture but the food was too good to wait on! We had the pan fried dumplings to start, phenomenal. Then we had a spicy goat soup and milky beef soup that came with quite a few sides; spinach, kimchi, bean sprouts, spicy cucumber, and fish cake. Each soup came with a dark purple rice! 5/5 outstanding!

It has been almost three years since I first visited this place. The owner lady is very nice and friendly. She is willing to give you more side dishes if you ask. However, there is a new server who is not as nice as the owner. Our group size was 6 and we got only 1 fish cake. I told her that I hope to get two more fish cakes because we love fish cake. I did that because I was sure we could finish it all (we did actually). But, the new sever said no because she thought that's too much. After she noticed that I did not like her response, she brought us one fish cake. This experience made me reconsider this restaurant. Overall, the food quality is really good. The best Korean restaurant in Houston if we consider only the taste.

Legit korean food... Approved. I’m from South Korea of southern region, pretty critical of korean foods in America but this place has really good food. Galbi soup and kimchi pancake was amazing.

My wife and I found this spot by chance. To date it is the only Korean place in Houston where we have found Buda Jigaeb(Army Stew). I can't say it was groundbreaking, but it was pretty darn good. Obviously there is room for varience in how the dish is made and it was not quite the same as Nolboo in Korea. The seafood/vegetable pancake was great. It was well cooked and a bit thicker than other places serve. It seemed more like a dish from home. The only people working were 3 older Korean ladies, so you know it was authentic as much as possible. The kimchi was fresh and all the banchan were good. The place itself was clean and we'll kept. My only complaint was that some of the pricing seemed different from the menu. My wife is Korean though and everything was explained to her satisfaction, so I figured it was all good. Definitely worth a visit.

Family style Korean restaurant. Small capacity so you may have to wait for seating. Also, they don't have many server so be patient on ordering and delivering the food may also take some time. However, people there are really nice and the food are quite good. If you want to have a warm, family like dinning experience, give them a try there!

When my daughter came to visit from S Korea, she wanted to introduce me to Korean cuisine. So, we had lunch here and the food was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!! The staff was so very nice and extremely impressed with my very white daughter's ability to communicate fluently in Korean. Definitely a new favorite restaurant of mine. =)

Very nice, has huge servings -- I split the seafood pancake appetizer with 2 other friends and we still couldn't finish it. This place is not as well known as it deserves to be, although that makes it a very peaceful quiet place to enjoy your meal. The food did take a bit longer than I expected but it was worth the wait.

Yummy Korean option tucked in a pitiful little strip mall place. Very helpful and friendly staff. Food was fresh and main dishes were delicious. The banchans were generally good, but there were a couple that had a bit of an overpowering fishy flavor. Worthwhile spot to checkout.
