I love this place! Whenever I come over from England and stay here with my Aunty Uncle and Cousins who are regular visitors at the hotel and restaurant I always have to come here. Been now for 2 birthdays and the food is out of this world! I just wish I could come more often. The service is amazing! When I came in June for my 22nd birthday our waitress Sarah was so attentive and lovely! She made my birthday meal all that more special. I just wish I knew how to make green bean fries so I could have them all the time! My favourite thing on the menu ever! Apart from the amazing cocktails! Can't wait to come back soon!
Food and drinks were great , really recommend the grilled swordfish taco ! Dominic our server was awesome !
After being out on the beach I like coming to Pete’s Bat and Grill for a glass of wine and maybe a bite to eat.
Excellent service everytime we visit the property. Friendly outgoing staff always with a smile. Perfect place to chill and have dinner.
Great food Great service, relaxing atmosphere! This is the best stop after the beach.
Sat outside in the courtyard enjoying refreshing drinks, enjoying all you can eat BBQ, all while listening to live music. Great restaurant, relaxing atmosphere, and the perfect gathering spot for couples / groups / families.
Thaddeus is the nicest accommodating and personable gentlemen I have met in the hospitality industry...a pure gem.
Great fish tacos! The street tacos were also fantastic. Chips and guac are a must
Thaddeus is absolutely the genuine best, and every smile that works there is outstanding.
Andrew and Tom run a fun ship. I wish I could lunch there everyday.
Superb food and even more superb service by their staff! Love this place!!!
I love the food and the people there are very nice
Whether we are staying at the Hyatt Regency or just at the beach, we always make time to stop in this quaint little beach bar & grill. Great service, nice people who always recognize and remember you. Love Pete's!!!!
I've been bringing my family at least three times a year since the Hyatt opened there in Huntington Beach. And Pete's has always been a part of it. Looking forward to many more years! Happy holidays.
Pete's Sunset Grille in Huntington Beach pleasantly surprised us with their diverse menu, not limited to just grilled cheese and classic American fare. While they offer an impressive range of comfort food staples, the unexpected standout was their sushi. Despite not being a dedicated sushi spot, their sushi offerings were surprisingly good. The beachfront ambiance provides a relaxing backdrop to the meal, and the attentive service enhanced the overall dining experience. Whether you're in the mood for grilled cheese or exploring their sushi selection, Pete's Sunset Grille offers a satisfying and enjoyable dining experience.
Edit: we ended up eating here twice, ordered the same tempura roll and although looking the same wasn’t inconsistent on the flavor. Still good! Buffalo wings were good nothing special, the green beans were a delight!! And we had the Mallory Torte which was actually really good not to sweet!
Orders to go and took it to the beach! 5/5 Shrimp Tempura, easily the best I’ve ever had, my Palette was in Heaven. The sauce is incredible, the actual roll it self texture wise was phenomenal! I honestly will order this every time I am in Huntington Beach. As for the Swiss burger it was also to really good! 3/5 and that’s due to the excessive meat.. 1/2lb is ginormous and well plenty for two (1/4-1/3 options would be a lot better. The first 3 or so bites were really good, great tasting meat however the seasoning is inconsistent throughout, and then after awhile you’re just eating unseasoned beef. If you’re in the area or stay at the Hyatt Regency I highly recommend Pete’s Sunset Grille
Mmmmm! I had the best sandwich here. It was a turkey pesto sandwich that I don't see on their online menu anymore. The sauce was amazing. There were options for kids as well, which was very helpful! My husband had fish tacos. We didn't have to wait to get a table at all. And the short walk to the beach was amazing. This restaurant is inside the Hyatt Regency Hotel. It was beautiful.
The food was delicious and honestly a bit less expensive than I thought it would be. My server Nathan was awesome. He was kind and attentive while easily noticing that I just wanted to have some food and read my book. The portion of ahi in the sandwich was impressive - I love a nice thick piece with a rare center and that was just what I got. The Caesar was really good and done just right.
The restaurant is not too loud and has a good amount of space. When I came around 6pm it wasn't busy at all. It has a great view of the water. As the name implies it's a wonderful place to enjoy the sunset. I'm looking forward to coming back!
Fantastic spot with great service right new the hotel. I had the blackened seafood tacos at the bar with an amazing Mexican Lager made by 21st amendment and the Bay area. Even if you’re hanging out at the beach, this is a great spot to access via the Hyatt bridge.
Amazingly friendly staff! Great food! FYI the green bean fries are to die for, a must try! Our server was Jimmy and he is just the best! So genuinely kind and will make sure you’re taken care of! Jacqueline (one of the hosts) was also super helpful, answering any questions we had and went above and beyond to find the answer if she didn’t know it. Can’t wait to come back very soon!
Love this place
Great outdoor and indoor seating.
Seafood was amazing ! Great service. A little pricey but your definitely getting what you pay for ! Many affordable options . Will definitely be back.
Fish tacos and waffle fries were amazing too.
A pretty nice and spacious atmosphere. Food tasted pretty good, though a bit pricey. The location is within the Hyatt and they also serve pretty standard cocktails. Came here with a big group of my family, the service was quite attentive.
Good place. I was staying at the resort and came here twice for dinner and lunch. Menu remains the same but it's good. The dinner the first night, we ordered the Mai Tai, the Offshore Breeze for drinks and the fish tacos and the mushroom swiss burger for entrees.
The drinks were good. I liked the Offshore Breeze a lot as I've had a similar drink before and that was not good. This one really hit all the marks. The fish tacos were very good and filling. I liked the fried fish better than the grilled fish. The burger was also decent.
For lunch the second day, we got the tomatoes and pepper bisque with fried green beans, grilled cheese and the blackberry margarita and a mimosa. The bisque was good but the fried green beans were AMAZING!! The drinks were definitely strong as we just needed the one each to feel buzzed. Despite not liking flavored margaritas, I really liked the blackberry margarita.
Liked this place both times, but you definitely run out of menu options.

Great casual place to eat during a conference when you can't go too far. Service is professional and quick . The Blackened tacos are good, love the guacamole, salsa is OK, chips are freshly made and thin & crispy, loved them. The green beans fries with sauce are super delicious too!
