Achiote Mexican Grill has delicious, fresh and homemade fare. The salsa is made from scratch and is so good I could drink it - in fact, one of my kids has! It has the perfect amount of kick and fresh flavor. If you are looking for great chilaquiles, search no more! The fish is outstanding. The cheesecake is the best in town - made from scratch, of course! The food is meticulously prepared and the results show. We love eating here!!!
They have wonderful fresh locally caught fish and great weekly creative specials. The owners Jack and John really put their heart into the place.

Ended up at this charming little Mexican restaurant in a somewhat surprising place. The food was delicious. Everything, the rice, the beans the tacos.., all had a unique taste, not new or trendy, but an added depth and complexity. It was one of the best Mexican dishes I've ever had.
The staff was warm and inviting. You instantly felt as if you were a beloved customer who'd been dining there for years. Of course, with such yummy food and welcoming staff the atmosphere was cozy. The place is small and intimate with lots of original artwork on the walls and outdoor tables when weather permits. All in all, I was really impressed and therefore cannot say enough about this place. (Although I'd really like to keep it hidden away!) It's original and quirky and I'm already craving the food (and the next experience) again!
I met Jack the owner. Super nice, very clean, and amazing food! I had two breakfast orders the Peruvian burrito special and the Ultimate burrito. Best Burritos I've had in a very long time! Some of the best food can be found in the smallest of places.
This is a small place that has great food. The breakfast burrito was on special, so I decided to give it a try. Good decision! If you want tasty food at a good price from friendly owners, this is the place to go.

OKAY soo hear me out.. I used to live right next to this restaurant so one day I tried their breakfast burrito. I literally ate the same shrimp burrito for 1 full year. EVERYDAY. It makes my day. I sometimes get two full size burritos because it tastes like heaven. I highly highly recommend this place.

We got chillaquilles, a steak breakfast burrito, and the ultimate breakfast burrito to go. It's a healthier take on Mexican food that's absolutely delicious! They made the food right there when we ordered it and everything is fresh. My wife wants to go back for lunch and my picky three year old cleared his plate.
If you love jalapeños then their own pickled peppers will bring you back as well as home made vanilla for their Starbucks ice coffee. Been there 10 years and finally made the stop and will definitely be back again.
I had one of the breakfast specials, a burrito that was served cut in half. Homemade salsa was very spicy and had a smoky flavor. Pretty big menu they serve both breakfast and lunch. 2 employees very friendly and welcoming. Prices a bit high. No AC on this rather humid September morning.
Best little breakfast spot!!! This hole in the wall place is so cute and delicious breakfast I have had in a long time! Jeff the owner is so nice and makes everything from scratch, even the coffee creamer. Try the chilaquiles so much flavor! Enjoy!

This little shop is amazingly quaint, and the owner is lovely to chat with. He has no qualms making your food exactly how you like it, and you can tell he truly takes pride in his work.
The shrimp burritos are absolutely wonderful, and come with a bunch of slices of fresh fruit (which, admittedly, I don't eat enough of otherwise).
I'm hoping business increases for Achiote Grill, because it definitely deserves it.
Don’t be put off by the humble storefront or the small interior because this food is all about big flavor. I had the tuna sandwich and my friend had the Maui Mari. Both were delicious and not your typical fish sandwiches. The salsa is mild and flavorful and the fruit side had mint and jalapeño. Everything had a different but amazing flavor. The staff was friendly and described the ingredients for each dish. This is a must try eatery.
Found this place recently looking for home-made tamales. The pork and chicken tamales were amazing! The next week we came back to tey their OCs best breakfast burrito! Another great experience. Today we ventured back as this is now one of our favorite spots. The food is prepared fresh, the menu is ever changing and you feel healthy eating really extraordinary food, everytime! See ya next week felllas! This place is a great find!

Jack and John are great people who make great food. They're always rotating in new, fresh, local ingredients for their specials and the menu is full of delicious, authentic, healthy options. John's wife also makes the best cheesecake around, bar none. I sometimes stop in for that alone.
And their house made habanero hot sauce is literally the best I've ever had. Full of flavor, with a sneaky heat that creeps up on you. If they bottled it I'd buy it by the case.
