When You walk in you are greeted at the door. The staff and even the owner sometimes will walk around and talk to you and you know this right away that they enjoy their line of work. One of my favorite places to get together with friends and family or just with the wife.

What a great night! Lively crowd and music was on point. Dancing and great food as well. Service was good too. Would highly recommend. Second visit even better than the first. Cherie is probably the best waitress we've ever had. What an awesome time.
Love the lunch menu for $9.95. I had 10 grilled shrimp on a skewer. It was grilled to perfection. You get your choice of 2 sides. I had a salad and baked potato. We spent the afternoon enjoying the live music and dancing. The frosting on the cake was being able to walk across the street and see a magnificent sunset.
We had all you can eat fish and chips. We were very happy, I eat fish 1-2 times per year- not my favorite. These people do it right, the fish was very good, but the breading was awesome. I couldn't stop eating it. If fish tasted like this, I would eat it all the time. Waitress was very friendly and accommodating.

For what this is - a local bar/restaurant with live music - J.D.'s hits it out of the ballpark. First off, the menu is varied with lots of great choices - which, even knowing the place had good reviews surprised me wonderfully! I had the broiled grouper (which you could also get fried, grilled or blackened) and it was awesome, with a tasty topping (light garlic and some other spices). Entrees were priced from about $13-$40 and - to me, after ordering and eating - seemed fairly priced. They also have apps, salads, sandwiches, etc.
Our server, BTW, was excellent - an older man who was very attentive and helpful. Although we didn't order alcohol, they had ample offerings.
As for live music, there was a piano bar with a guy playing oldies (music of the 70's & 80's) inside, and a live duo playing a little more contemporary (but not much), party music in their outdoor dining area. Both sounded good and had appreciative "fans".
We were there on a Sunday night. It wasn't crowded at all, and the patrons all seemed to be in their 30's and up....it was an older crowd (though they all seemed to be having a good time). I'd say the crowd was at least as much loyal, local patrons as tourists.
If you're looking for a nice place to go - fairly priced good food, with live music, a comfortable, fun (not loud and wild) atmosphere, with great service - I heartily recommend J.D.'s Restaurant.
Cherie is the one you want to be your waitress. So kind, respectful. She is amazing. I’m from Wisconsin and she had the Midwest charm.
We experienced the best service that we ever had anywhere. Cheri was a fantastic waitress! She needs to train people in that profession how to do it right! Our food was great but the service was remarkable 👌
If you're in this town this is a must place to go see very interesting place with signs and stuff great the best service I've ever had in my life by Matt. Matt was on top of stuff with every table he had and gave you the great service an beyound .Also have the best piano player that sings then they had a back bar or something where other people were dancing food was great especially the loaded fries must place. We went at night so if you go in there as for Matt to be your waiter you will never be disappointed in this restaurant and get the loaded fries
