Close to flawless on the execution side of things. They are not afraid to put the seasoning on and it is really impressive how ideally everything is cooked and tastes. They offer a high value buffet during the week and the service is welcoming. Can't wait to come back!
This place is so good! I can't believe how awesome the food is. The owners are amazing too! If you like spice they can kick it up for you. Yum! Yum! You have to go to this place.

So, I had heard about Mango's from a friend who tried it and said it was amazing. I took this with a grain of salt -- no restaurant pun intended -- since this friend likes pretty much *everything*.
Let me be the first to say, I was wholeheartedly wrong to be sceptical in the case of Mango's.
I am an English Major, and still...there are not enough adjectives or enough superlatives to describe the food I ate here. Amazing! Delicious! Flavorful! Fragrant! Best! Greatest!
I could go on forever.
The staff is all super friendly, including the owner/cook who makes the best coconut bread I've ever tasted. (True, it was the only of its kind I'd ever tasted, but...the angels wept.) And for anyone interested, she also sells this coconut bread for $8 a loaf. Yes please!
I got the petite sampler platter to try the Mango Chicken and the Jerk Chicken, and...dear lord. The meat was fall-off-the-bone tender, the plantains were perfection, everything was spiced excellently, and the side of rice and cabbage provided just the right amount of body. My husband, meanwhile, got the curry chicken -- a different flavor of the same amazingness. I'd like to say we finished it all off and licked the plates, but...there was too much food! Luckily, our server was there with a to-go box and not a single bite was wasted.
My only regret is, unlike the noble cow, I have but one stomach to fill with Mango's delicious cooking.
A return trip is imminent!
The food is great and the staff is extremely friendly. The curry chicken roti is great. The jerk chicken is very spicy and it very delicious.

Went for lunch, and it was great cause they have a buffet choice during lunch. The mac and cheese was great. The stewed chicken was my favorite because it was a little sweet. The jerk chicken was very spicy! I liked it but definitely needed juice. There was a salad, soup, and bread on the other side of the door, and one of the breads has jalepenos baked in and was great. To drink they had a lovely mango lemonade. I would recommend.
Had the buffet 8/19/15. Was exceptional. The Jamaican Jerk chicken was wonderful. Ask for their hot sauce they keep in the back. It'll light you up! Very tasty. I will go back.

I dont like caribbean food....I went to humor my husband who is a vegetarian. To be safe I ordered the jerked chicken...so, what a surprise to find the BEST chicken I have ever eaten. Served with beans and rice (unremarkable.) The atmosphere is def lacking.....sure wish the owner (who is delighful and dear) would consult with a designer or marketer. No matter how good the food, ambiance and decor count...especially in that location. Go eat there. I am a superb cook and picky as heck....I loved it.
Awesome Chicken. I had the Mango chicken with rice, black beans and Fried Banana. Wings as an appetizer, chicken literally fell off the bone. Wait staff was attentive and fun.
If they open in Atlanta it would be a staple for me.

Great food however the service sucks. I will say that I did see a "we are hiring" sign at the front door, so maybe the waiters were just filling in. Dude, nobody should sit there for an hour and a half with an empty glass and the customer have to prompt you to bring them more drinks. Towards the end of the meal I almost felt like we were being held captive because it took them so long to figure out the check. But again, great food, however I left there wishing I had more jerk chicken on my plate

One of the best spots in HSV. It's kind of easy to overlook, but the food is phenomenal. I haven't had anything there that I haven't enjoyed so far.
Deeeeeelicious!. The service was great! And the food was amazingly good. I am pretty familiar with Trinidadian and Jamaican foods and this was EXCELLENT!
Island flavor. Craving a saucy jerk chicken? How about a savory oxtail? My group tried a good 3/4ths of the menu, and there's nothing I wouldn't get again.
The ginger hot tea goes well with pretty much everything.
Great restaurant. The jerk chicken is great. Mango chicken was ok, but they used canned chicken I think. It was good, but I would go with jerk or goat curry.
Awesome!. I've been 3 times and every time was awesome. The jerk chicken was tasty as was the mango chicken (could have been a little spicier as I like a little heat). The waitresses were all great, friendly and helpful. Brought my entire work group here and everyone loved it. Will definitely keep coming back!

What a wonderful surprise. We have been in this area for a little over a year, never heard anything about this place until our daughter brought home some leftovers from lunch. We loved the flavors and had to go the next evening to try other items. I had the Goat Curry and my husband had the Jerk Chicken, not surprised that we loved it!!! Met the owner and his lovely wife, who, by the way does the cooking.... Great people and there was a awesome band playing....... Sadly, we are moving at the end of the month.. Encourage all to try this, you will not be disappointed...
Yesterday was my family's first time at Mangos and it was soooo yummy!
Had my first meal at this relatively new resturant. The atmosphere was comfortable and the staff friendly and attentive. I tried the ox tail dinner, which was delicious. Finished up with a slice of mango cheesecake for desert. I'll definitely be going back to sample more of their menu.
Very Good. Went to Mango's for lunch one day last week. I had the braised oxtail and the others in my party had jerk chicken and mango chicken. Everything was delicious and service was fast. They were out of the Curry Goat so I am planning to take a trip back to check that out. I had never had oxtail so I didn't know what to expect, it was sort of like pot roast except with bolder flavors. I plan on returning.
Mango's offers dishes that are big on flavor and light on oil. They tease out the best of each ingredient, letting them be the stars instead of just a vehicle for sauces or condiments. A breath of fresh air for Huntsville's dining scene, I will absolutely be back.
