I was recently self-diagnosed with an empañada deficiency. A quick search located the Dolce Pan Bakery at 2818 Governors Drive in Huntsville, Alabama. The friendly proprietors have a varied menu of authentic Puerto Rican dishes including 6 varieties of the delectable empañada. I had a chicken and a beef this trip. I enjoyed each bite. I will return. They were excited to discuss their menu offerings, service was fast, prices affordable, and you can eat there or get it to go. They have dessert pastries and pies in an impressive and tempting display. Yes, I tried a pastry to round out my experience. It was soooo good. Please go there and eat often, fall in love with it so they are here for years to come!

Life altering. I had the corned beef special. It came with rice and beans and sweet plantains. It’s not like any corned beef I’ve ever had... it’s way better. Unbelievable deliciousness. All of it was amazing. The plantains... holy cow. Y’all go eat here right now. Do it. Stat.

The Mofongo was so good and the Cubano was the best one I’ve ever had, I highly recommend going there for lunch if you want something different if not just good.

I had the Cuban sandwich. It didn't standout from anyone else's which isn't necessarily a bad thing. My friend had the special ( stewed chicken, plantains, rice & beans). It smelled and looked amazing. Definitely going back. Only wish they had more PR/Latin dishes. It's a bakery but feels more like a coffee shop.

Best Cuban sandwich in town. Chorizo empanadas are the bomb. My coworkers and I get lunch here at least once a week because the food is amazing and the staff is A+.

The best puert rican restaurant away from home. From coffee, appetizers to great traditional food. Pasteles, Arroz con gandules and roasted pork. Cant forget dessert guava pastelillos, coconut flan, tembleque, etc. People go and try different food... weather you speak Spanish or not; they will be pleased to explain the menu for you.. Remember English is our second language.

Fantastic local Hispanic bakery with a wide selection of pastries, sandwiches, and drinks, and desserts. Personally had a chicken and pizza empanada here and they were very delicious, not to mention affordable. The staff working here are also very nice and you can just tell it's a local gem.

Amazing find! This place brings me back to my Grandma's kitchen where the Salsa music is on the radio and the kitchen smells of fried pork, rice and beans. If you're a first timer, get yourself a Cubano, try the beef and chicken empanadas and one of the fresh fruit beverages they have to offer!

Dolce Pan Bakery is an absolute gem that's more than just a bakery that's well known to locals. They serve up amazing sandwiches especially the Cuban (a favorite of mine) along with several daily specials. They also offer great brewed coffee as well. This restaurant is fantastic, and I can't recommend it enough.

Our food here was good! When my husband read the description online, it seemed more like a French restaurant rather than Cuban. We enjoyed it nonetheless!

My husband and I really enjoyed our lunch at Dolce. We ordered the Cubano, the Triplet and a side of Sweet Plantains. The food was really good and fulfilling!! The vanilla flan and frappas (not pictured) we had afterwards were the icing on top!! I've eaten enough to last me a couple days lol! I'll definitely be back for more.

We found this treasure on Yelp. We traveledto Huntsville to go to the space center, and then it was time for dinner. We used Yelp to find something rated highly rated that was) also inexpensive. $ This family did it right. Quality, portion, service, and hospitality made this experience outstanding!
