It is a Chinese restaurant like any other, however it has been in the same location and under the same owners since the 80's. Typical Chinese menu, the waiter's attention was exceptional.

Golden Fountain sets the standard for Chinese food on Cape, if not ALL of Massachusetts. Never been disappointed in 20 years. Food ready in 15-20 without fail. 1 star for Atmosphere because they are currently Take-Out Only at the moment.
I've lived in Barnstable for over 25 years and never been there until today. I order L8 lunch special and was pleasantly surprised.
You will be shocked by the appearance inside looks like a place blew up from an explosion but I can't lie I must tell the truth the food it's amazing the best Chinese food on the cape
Golden Fountain makes my favorite wonton soup on the Cape. The soup is full of fresh cabbage, snow peas, water chestnuts, and is also loaded with large pieces of chicken and the best gigantic wantons around. It’s the perfect hearty soup for a cold day and the portions are so generous that we always get to have soup for lunch the next day.
They're take out only. Had okay Chinese food, fairly fast service for take out.
This was a sunday afternoon favorite for many years. Food is delicious.
No complaints at all. They were always very good hosts and treated us well. This is a staple in the community easy. Keep them in business!

We had the chicken curry, crispy sweet beef & egg rolls. So delicious. Fantastic size portions, lots of veg. Lovely & hot. Best Chinese I’ve had in a year. Wish our take out near DC was this good.

My husband is obsessed w/ their food! We order take out atleast a couple times a month and in the summertime even more often. The young lady that usually works the counter is an absolute sweetheart and she never fails to put a smile on my face (I wish more young people were like her)!

There are some completely BS reviews for this place, so I'd like to undo one or two with a 5.
They are very fast, very courteous, take the time to relay your order back to you on the phone, and their food is exactly what you'd expect from a place like this. It's not Michelin 3 Star, it's an Asian food joint on Cape Cod. You get more than what you pay for, and value is what I'd base my ratings on.
Calm, quiet place. Cool lunches for 8$
