What a day for a drive. Never been here before. I had the all meat Chilli and my friend hard the pulled pork sandwich. I also had some house made banana pudding with fresh cut bananas cut on it to order.. Just a great atmosphere. Got to meet some neat people. Could tell the locals there love if to. Go have a good time and enjoy some amazing bbq... don't forget to pick up a pair of thete sunglasses or grab a shirt.

A great place to stop off and grab lunch or to go drink. The place smells absolutely heavenly when you walk in. Stop in when I left Seward on my way back to Anchorage, AK. They have beautiful views of the water. Wish I had more time to sample all the things on the menu. Right off the main highway

Stopped by to pick up some sides for dinner at Turnagain Arm Pit tonight, fried pickles and okra, some slaw, cornbread and Mac & cheese. The food here has always been great, if you like barbecue you’ll love what they have to offer. Their sweet tea makes your teeth hurt in the best way. They are offering pick up (either call ahead or drop in ordering) and they also have a handful of tables set up on their deck. The view of the Arm is spectacular from there, so if you are lucky enough to get a table it will be a great treat. I had a nice chat with Jennifer while I was waiting, she’s worked at the restaurant for nearly 7 years now. Covid has been hard on our restaurants, especially those that are a bit out of the way and generally catering to tourists as well as locals. Consider making a drive down to help support them, even if you don’t get a table...one thing the Seward Highway is not short on are perfect spots to picnic!

Good BBQ for Alaska. Juicy and flavorful pulled pork, moist cornbread, decent Mac and cheese. The ribs had good flavor but were a little dry, as was the brisket. I recommend trying everything with the mustard BBQ sauce. If you are around for brunch, the pancakes were fluffy and delicious. The biscuits and gravy was tasty, but wasn’t served with enough gravy.

Had the brisket and pulled pork sandwiches. Both were very good but the roll actually lessens the overall taste and experience. The roll makes the meat seem dry, but it isn't. It is very tasty, especially with the selection of BBQ sauces they offer at the table. Service was great, professional and wonderfully courteous.

Fantastic service and food. Great view of Turnagain Arm from outdoor deck. Great place to stop on your way to or from Seward, Kenai or Whittier. Good selection of beer. Everyone one in our group and of 4 enjoyed their meal

Local pit bbq just across from the Turnagain Arm. Lovely views. Wish they had a sweet honey bbq sauce. Food was great, and they had a decent selection of beers.

The location of this barbecue place is its biggest draw. It's got a five-star view and three star food. The sauces available for their barbecue are very runny and don't add much flavor to the pulled pork which has a very minor smoked flavor. The poor waiter was overworked because they're understaffed but still kept a great attitude.

One of the best spots in Anchorage - I've lived in Anchorage from 2014 to 2019 and I can say that this is one of my favorites. Good food + good view + reasonable pricing = True Alaskan Restaurant

Great food! The crispy ribs on appetizer menu are to die for! And the view is just incredible! We usually stop by every trip to Anchorage, even if it's just to get some pulled pork or brisket to take home. Will not be disappointed!

Delicious BBQ conveniently located south of Anchorage on the way to/from Girdwood with a hilariously appropriate name (for the location). Enjoyed lunch before heading home after a great week in Alaska with family. Wasn't looking for great BBQ in Alaska since we have plenty of choices at home, but was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. Good smokiness in the meats and delicious sauces as well.

Stopped here after a day of fishing... Have eaten at the one in Anchorage (closed) but this is the original. The staff is super friendly and funny... There was only three people running the place and they hustled to make it a great experience. I like their barbeque because it is a dry rub .. this time I tried something new... Fresh deep fried pork rinds! If you like chicaronies, try these.. they come out of the fryer fresh and hot, still popping and crackling! So much fun to eat. Will be back again for sure!

My daughter and I have driven from Kasilof to Anchorage for her chemotherapy every week since the beginning of January. Every single time we passed by we said “we’re going to eat there one day”. Well, today was the day! And boy was it worth it!! It was the best baby back ribs and pulled pork we have ever eaten! And for someone who doesn’t eat much, my daughter ate her whole sandwich with a huge smile on her face! The staff was great also!! We will definitely be returning!!

Excellent food and very friendly wait staff! The corn bread was a bit weird, tasted like allspice and was a bit gummy. But otherwise, the pulled pork sandwich was amazing and the Mac and cheese was very creamy. The hush puppies were my favorite though! Absolutely would recommend!
