What a gem - popped in with my son and got some food to-go. Excellent, authentic flavors. My wife said her tacos al pastor were the best she’s ever had (and we’re not just any gringo). My little astronaut gave it a big thumbs-up. Definitely will go back again.

Wow!!! This place is amazing not only is it a wonderfully stocked grocery store. This place has a restaurant that will not disappoint. The meat counter is HUGE, grab a ticket and get in line. The selection is amazing and the meat was super fresh. The fruits and veggies looked great also. A superb variety. If you are looking for a specific item... they probably have it. Now the restaurant, I don’t think you can go wrong with anything in there. I went torta, and man was it on point! The gorditas and sopes were amazing! If you are not into spicy stay away from the salsa! It is good but will light you up! I just wish I lived closer to be able to shop here every week!!!!

This place is spectacular. In my fairly extensive experience in Latin markets around the city, this one is the best. Where to begin? Upon walking in, the merchandising is spot on with a glimpse of specials, and a big eyeful of the home made pastries. I continue on through one of the most bountiful produce sections imaginable. The meat counter is stuffed with day to day cuts, ad well as an extensive array of variety meats. All fresh, all custom cut. The grocery shelves are stocked to perfection, and there's a full service deli. The entire place is immaculately clean and staffed with professionals. A truly great shopping experience. Oh, and there's a full service restaurant and cantina, which I will save for another outstanding review.

The food was good. I wish there wasn't such a language barrier though! The server was having a hard time understanding when I asked if the enchiladas came in a combo with rice, other than that everything came out good. My husband loved his tacos. He got tripe and shredded pork. The queso we ordered had meat in it as well. All in all, good experience

Excellent food, fresh and very tasty, just be careful with a singer who goes for the tables asking “Do you want to sing something for you?” That song will cost you $20 each song!!! That’s is crazy for me.

The musicians bring a great atmosphere and the meat is good and they give a good portion of food but the quality of sides should be improved. Margarita could have more tequila in them. You are still not wasting your money!

Looking for authentic Mexican food stuffs and a great restaurant inside the store? Then This is your place. Fresh abs quality produce, clean and well ordered shelves. Friendly staff. This place has it all. I especially like the fresh chicharrones. The restaurant menu is vast full of dishes your abuelita made! Price are very reasonable. Inventory turns quick so no Saraga-like issues with outdated product.

Carniceria Guanajuato may not catch your eye from the outside, but step through its doors, and you'll find yourself transported to an authentic Mexican experience that goes beyond the typical grocery store. What may seem like an ordinary exterior hides a gem of a place that captures the essence of a small Mexican town, or for a more contemporary reference, a visit to Epcot. The grocery store itself is a treasure trove of Mexican ingredients, spices, and products that are hard to find elsewhere. The aisles are stocked with an impressive variety, making it a go-to spot for those seeking authentic flavors for their home-cooked Mexican meals. The staff is friendly and always willing to help, whether you're a seasoned cook or a novice looking to explore Mexican cuisine. Now, the real magic happens when you venture to the back of the store, where an amazing restaurant awaits. The ambiance is unassuming but inviting, with a no-frills decor that focuses on what truly matters—the food. The menu is a testament to the rich tapestry of Mexican culinary traditions, offering a diverse range of dishes that cater to every palate. What sets Carniceria Guanajuato apart is the commitment to authenticity. The flavors are bold, the portions are generous, and each dish tells a story of Mexican culinary heritage. From street-style tacos to hearty stews, every bite feels like a journey through the vibrant streets of Mexico. While the outside of Carniceria Guanajuato may not scream "extraordinary," the experience within is a testament to the saying "don't judge a book by its cover." For those willing to be adventurous and explore the hidden gems of local culture, this is a must-visit. It's more than a grocery store; it's a gateway to the heart and soul of Mexican cuisine. So, if you're ready to trade the ordinary for the extraordinary, step inside Carniceria Guanajuato and let your taste buds embark on a flavorful journey south of the border.
