Pho special #Phodacbiet with #butterwings simply fantastic the butter garlic wings are fried in butter and garlic. Crispy buttery with garlic, need I say more. The PHO was nice and spicy obviously much food couldn't finish it all.
Great food. We have had carry out twice and dined in. Our waiter was a little forgetful, but the main staff backed them up without issue. We have tried their Vietnamese dishes and Chinese, delicious. Amazed this place is on on our side of town. Definitely hope they stick around (their hiring). Love the flavor!
Great Value. We ate here with a friend on Saturday. The service was good. I will say the photos on line are quite deceiving in reference to what the restaurant actually looks like. I ordered the Goi Rolls for an appetizer and we all enjoyed them; I wanted more! For my main meal I ordered the Veggie Fish with Ginger Sauce and it was delicious, the spices really brought out the flavor. My partner ordered the Shrimp and Pork Combo and was very pleased. I would recommend this spot. The only thing missing is a wine list!
Consistently fresh and good. My husband and I have been to Pho 54 three times now, and every time has been a great experience.
While it may not be located in the best area, and the outside appears a tad bit sketchy, the inside is always clean and the fixtures appear to be fairly new. The staff is always friendly, and appears to be made up of family members.
We have tried something new every time, and it has never been a disappointment. The broths that they use are clearly made in house, and are some of the most gorgeous I've seen inside of a restaurant. The little, shiny fat globules glisten in the light, and they are the good kind that come from stewing bones for hours on end. The vegetables are always fresh and green, never brown.
The Pho is truly a never ending bowl of soup. I've not seen the large, but the regular bowl is still too much for my husband or myself to completely finish. If you like a bit of a kick in your soup, try the Hue Style Beef Noodle Soup. Same delicious broth with a bit more of a kick to it. The Lemongrass chicken is also very good.
The first couple of times, we stuck to the Vietnamese portion of the menu thinking that the Chinese portion would probably just give us the typical frozen garbage you get from most Chinese restaurants. Last night, we decided to go ahead and try the Chinese menu, and boy were we wrong about our previous assumptions. The Won Ton soup was clearly made in house with gorgeous little pockets of noodle and pork. The General Tso's chicken was large chunks of white meat that clearly had been hand breaded. And the Szechuan Chicken was just lovely with thin little pieces of white meat that had been sauteed in the wok with more of their fresh vegetables.
We're floored. I'll pay for all of the meals over and over again to keep getting freshness like that.
So good!. The exterior does look a little shady but don't let that put you off. The inside is very clean and neat. The owners greet you with warmth and it makes me feel like home. Although I miss the food back home, I still refuse to settle for subpar Asian food. Pho 54 did not disappoint! Flavors were good, beef balls were very good! My boyfriend had the Vegetarian Beef Pho and loved it. The elder lady is a vegetarian so the broth was excellent even for a meat eater like me. Huge portions for a low price. Hidden gem!
Im not the type to take the time and write a review, but i felt that this place really deserved it. I started with the crb ragoon and speing rolls which i get at any asian place i go to and theirs was by far the best i've had. you can taste the fresh ingredients not the frozen stuff! Then i decided for their beef pho and it was great! The mix of herbs smelled at rasted great. Being from a different culture i would advise people to try this more than one and once the taste is acquired they will love it! apart from the food the place is super clean and the sweet lady and gentleman treat you as if you're a part of the family. I really recommend this place for people who want to expand their cultural horizon.
Don't be put off by the location. We ate at Pho54 this evening and we are glad we made the trip in from the northern suburbs. The Vietnamese pancake app was fantastic and the Pho was quite good as well. The service was exceptional. We will definitely be back.
I just had one of the best lunches I have had in a long time, pho sure. Admittedly my knowledge of Asian cooking is limited. I have had Vietnamese food a few times. So today was a wonderful treat. We started off with 2 appetizers. Spring rolls with fish sauce and Goi rolls with a special plum sauce. The spring rolls were typical deep-fried won ton wrapped pork and veggie rolls. The atypical part was the fish sauce. It had a slight sweet and sour effect. More like a gastric than your typical “duck sauce”. It also had shredded daikon and carrot that added a slight textural difference that meshed well with the savory sweet sauce and the fried pork and carrot. And this wonderful little plate was $2.49. As for the goi rolls. My o my. Large rolls of,shrimp, pork, veggies and rice noodles in rice paper. They were as tasty as they were pretty. The sauce they served with it was a plum sauce with roasted peanuts. Plum sauce is slightly sweet with the viscosity akin to apple butter. It has a smal
The rice flour crepe was very thin with nice crispy edges. Inside, it was stuffed with pieces of pork and small whole shrimps and lots of bean sprouts and green onions. It was served with a bit of lettuce, cilantro, some ...
By far the best Chicken Pho I've had thus far. The broth was exquisite. Lots of meat and fresh veggies.
Spring Rolls were equally delicious.
For my water snobs....I got a cup to go.
Customer Service was fantastic. Definitely a new fav.
We ordered 2 noodles, banh mi, one appetizer of Wan Tang soup, and a coke and it costed $50.
I was craving for Pho and banh mi so I went to this place and I got exactly what I wanted! The store was clean for the located area, foods were great, kind workers! I would visit again.
Pho Special was good. It was a tad bit sweeter than I typically like them. Also it is missing beef tripe, beef tendon, fatty flank from your typical Dac Biet or Pho Special so I docked 1 star. The atmosphere is not the best. The building looks rundown and the inside is fairly basic. Service was on point and food came out fast. I got in at 1:30PM and got out at 1:55PM, just in time for my 2PM meeting. Disappointed that they no longer offer their lunch specials so now everything is regular prices.
This place is super clean! The desks are like mirrors. And the food and service are great.
I like the summer rolls, very much like the good ones I had before. Bahn mi sandwich bread is softer than others, but still great in flavor. And the broth of the pho is sweeter than what I had before, if you like something sweet, this might be the right one for you.
The service is friendly and responsive.
This place was amazing 👏 the customer service was SO nice and the restaurant itself is very clean. They have vegan pho, which is amazing. The veggie/vegan soups all have soy based fake meat and the veggie broth was so rich. Definitely in my top 10 favorite places in Indy.
Great tasting food and even better customer service. Staff are super hospitable and welcoming. Their menu has something for everyone from classic Vietnamese cuisine, Thai, and American Chinese style food. Their lunch special is a steal for $8.99, which definitely worth checking out.
Meals are hearty, filling, and delicious!
I had a wonderful visit to What the Pho. The restaurant was clean, inviting and had very chill date-night or a-night-out-with-friends vibe. Budget friendly. Great customer service. Portions were generous and included allll the add-ins you could ever want. My favorites are the plum sauce and peanut sauce. So spice.
Great pho and rice plates!
This place is #1 pho north side Indianapolis!! And #1 banh mi period. We love coming here when we are on this side of town! Want Kenny to open a new location near downtown! Speaking of Kenny… he is one of kind. The friendliest person you’ll ever meet and truly cares about this restaurant.
Incredible food, awesome service and the restaurant is super clean! This restaurant is at the top of my list for Vietnamese food! Everyone should try it because it will be your favorite too!
I just found this place since I moved from the far West side. I usually go to Pho 36 in Avon and have been driving that way to eat when I want Vietnamese. This restaurant is at least double the size and offers both Vietnamese and Chinese food...not a fusion but just offers dishes from both cuisines.
I ordered hot tea, pot stickers and the Pho Special. The wrapper of the potsticker was thicker than other potstickers that I've had, a bit more doughy. While they were a bir greasy, the filling and the sauce was good though. The pho was really nice. Their noodles are thin and the basic broth has a good flavor to build up, I added sriracha and hoisin. Service is very friendly and prompt. While I will still drive out of my way for Pho 36 ... I will eat here when I don't feel like driving.
Great Pho, fresh ingredients, nice interior, just sad to see it very slow on a Friday night.
My husband & I had lunch there. We loved the egg rolls & spring rolls. You can tell they were fresh & homemade. We loved the peanut sauce. The chicken pho was ingredibly delicious and good portion. The broth had so much flavor, you could almost take it to go and drink it like juice it's that good. My husband loved the broth too and he isn't much of pho guy. He had a dish with rice noodle & beef he really loved it. Best chicken pho I've ever had. We saw lots of regulars there. Staff was friendly & restaurant was very clean. We will definetly come back on a regular basis.
The food was amazing, probably the best Phó I’ve ever had.
Got a big nourishing bowl of delicious Pho (only $9!). The name of this place drew me in, and I'm very happy I decided to stop! As people say the service was top notch and the food was great. Places like this could really use some support, the place was empty when I went for lunch.
Definitely one of the best pho spots in Indy - and truly a gem on the northwest side of town! The veg’n section of their menu is killer, too. I highly recommend the “fish” (it’s bean curd) in ginger sauce and veggie goi rolls when you visit - you will not be disappointed!
My wife and I have been going to this location even before the new owners. But the new owners really are super nice and the food is amazing!! Just like being back in Fountain Valley CA at Pho shops. Great service, great Pho, and new facelifted restaurant sitting area! 👌🇻🇳🍜🤤
Best pho in Indy!! Love the authentic beef broth! My second time coming here and their fried rice is good too! We also got crab ragoons as appetizers, the cream cheese tasted funny but overall was delicious!! Def worth the 15 minute drive! 👏🏼
