Being from Tamilnadu (India), it was very rare to find good food from there in USA.
Restaurants here tend to Americanize the recipe a lot hence losing the authenticity of the real Indian food of a region.
We were in Indianapolis for a weekend trip and found this spot in Google and decided to give a try.
We were attended by Mr. Kishore who was very friendly and helped us pick the right choices for our dinner based on what we were looking for.
Their menu was quite elaborate with dishes around India but we wanted to try the below items which takes me back to Tamilnadu.
1) Varamilagai chicken (it was a Saturday daily special and not on their menu)
2) Chicken Kothu parotta
3) Kari (goat) dosa
All the 3 items far exceeded our expectations and the taste was very authentic. I felt sitting in a restaurant back home in Tamilnadu when I had this food.
The saalna they gave us for both the dosa and kothu parotta was banger.
The portion sizes were really good and we had to take home leftovers.
This restaurant should be in your top of the list for trying Indian food. This will be my first stop next time when I come back to Indianapolis.
I cannot explain my experience in words. But I would like to. I tried Thalappakatti Mutton Biriyani, Nattu kozhi rasam and Nattu kozhi biriyani here. Everything was fantastic. Once we tasted the food, we wanted to meet the Head Chef who prepared the delicious food and we met him. Mr. Kishore was the Head Chef and he was so nice 😊 Me and my friends thanked him for the great service☺️Keep up the great work guys👍
Went there for lunch with a friend. The place is decent. Comfy chairs. Good food. Nothing fancy but good service and good food. They have dosa night tonight. Buffet...must visit if u care to try different dishes.
My first time trying Indian food and it did not disappoint! Everything was hot and delicious and the staff were all friendly and attentive. The owner made some recommendations as well and those dishes were all amazing. Went with a group from work and they were all impressed too, I will go back! (My pictures are from after we started digging in)
UPDATE2: Still awesome a year later!
UPDATE: Returned with my "Real Boss" and she liked it! Had Kalukkodi Chicken, Parota with Egg, and Ghee Dosa. All were good. Parota was so flaky we ordered extra to take home. (Updated pics)
Food was fantastic! Spiced just right. Had Egg Kalakki and Mysore Dosa. Service was a bit slow but that's expected now in a pandemic. Will try again on my next business trip.
Kishore is very friendly to make sure that the dishes that we ordered were upto our requested taste and standard. Thank you , Kishore. Tirunelveli halwa , mutton kothu parotta and ghee roast are not to be missed. Mutton chukka was flavorful.
Chicken 555 was spicy and good
Good food !
I've eaten here a couple of times & enjoyed it but tonight I got takeout & it was extra delicious. I ordered vegetable biryani spicy level 7 out of 10, & it was perfect! I have plenty left for lunch tomorrow. The garlic Naan & vegetable samosas were awesome too!
This is the best Indian restaurant in Indianapolis! And my favorite guy is leaving! Kishore you are going to be missed you are definitely a rare jewel. We wish you many blessings on your new journey! Back to the food. Our favorite dishes are Veggie Korma, Biryani, and of course my special favorite is Egg Curry. Oh , and you get a great deal and a taste of everything when you come for the buffet on Sundays! You won’t go wrong with anything on the menu, I promise. My family Loves it!!!! By far the best Indian restaurant who cares about quality food that’s fresh, reasonably priced, and the service is top tier in comparison to all the other Indian restaurants I have been in Indianapolis.
So good! Must try! We ordered idly/vada combo, malabar parotha, goat sukka, guntur podi dosa and a plain dosa. Everything was so delicious! The goat sukka came with rice and it was so delicious! Next time would love to try their biryani! <3
Best Indian Buffet in Indiana !
I tried Hyderabadi Biryani, Chicken Pakora, Gongura Chicken, Mutton Curry, Pongal, Dosa, Vada as part of Buffet and it was quite good
The usual Chicken Tikka Masala, Naan, Vegetarian Curries and Chaats are also present
For the variety and quality the buffet cost of 20$ is totally worth it
This is first buffet where my stomach had no issues afterwards which means the food is prepared fresh
Must visit for everyone interested in Indian food !
