The Resturaunt is outstanding and the service is equally as great. I recommend this place to anyone interested in a change of pace place to eat. Prices are very resonanable as well.
Always excellent food and the wait staff in-service staff is phenomenal!
I had a black cherry moscow mule, calamari appetizer, brussel sprout caesar salad, shrimp po boy with fries, and the truffle mushroom mac. (shared with a friend of course) Everything was delicious. Don't order the truffle mushroom mac if you DON'T have time to slip into a 14 hour food coma afterwards. It's phenomenal... but VERY rich. I can't wait to come back and try more items!
Visiting from out of town and it was the best burger I have had in a LONG time! Hope we head back this way again to revisit.
Have eaten here many times. The service is always good and the Burgers are outstanding. My eating companion had the pulled pork and he said it was the best he'd ever had.
You can tell the beef is fresh farm raised. Excellent service and excellent food!!

Enjoyed lunch at Hudson's yesterday. The staff was very welcoming and drinks and food come quickly. Everything was delicious. Can't wait to go back so we can try some of the other menu items.

The staff was very genuine, attentive and prompt. The atmosphere is just beautiful in a rustic relaxed format. It had a broad range of folks in there with families to singles. Just GO!

Food was delicious but the mac n cheese was slightly bland according to two of my friends. But one thing I really loved is the server she was extremely caring and provided us top notch service.
Food and drinks were top notch! Server wasn't the best..she was super rude from the moment we walked in the door. Took 20 minutes to bring our drinks..we watched them sit at the bar for about just as long..definitely recommend the cheese curds best I've ever had! Would give 5 stars for food!

I'll admit it - this review is long overdue... but it got to the point where I felt like it would be weird for me to post something.
I've visited Hudson's many, many times and I've always had an amazing experience. The food menu is incredible, but it's definitely comfort bar food. If you're trying to be healthy, your choices are limited, but if you want to go home stuffed and satisfied, anything on the menu is a safe bet - I know, I've literally had everything.
The beer selection is solid, with an above-average selection of taps on rotation, many of which are locally sourced. The cocktail menu is possibly the best in the area, in my opinion, between cost, variety, and consistent quality. The ambiance of the bar is fun, but chill, which makes it a nice retreat just off of the University's main campus to watch a game on Saturday or relax on the patio come Sunday.
Most importantly, the staff are phenomenal and the whole reason why I'm writing this review tonight. I was a regular at the bar - hence why I felt uncomfortable reviewing - but the last several months, life led me to be completely MIA. Tonight, I walked in the door and three of the staff excitedly greeted me by name, instantly. Some of the people have changed but the experience has not - the new manager even came over during a lull to introduced himself to me.
It's nice to be back at the best kept secret in Iowa City and I think it's finally time to share it with others. Keep up the good work!
I really like the atmosphere of this place. It has a large selection of tap beer. Great food menu. I could smell how delicious the food was when it came out of the kitchen. Service was excellent and food was delicious. Only wish I was in town longer try more menu items and tap beers. Will return next time I'm I town.

Met a friend there for dinner. Each of us had the Hobb salad. It was delicious! Had wings as an appetizer. So good! Had to have one of the craft beers too, to top it off! Yum!
