Had been craving Greek food and this spot has me in heaven. The people running things are friendly and draw you in. The food is beyond top knotch and portions are more than worth the price.
Best Hummus I've ever had. It's creamier than regular Hummus. And I normally don't even like Hummus.
Today I took my Father and Son to a restaurant in Irvine called "Gyro King".
What a meal!! The 3 of us were very pleased.
The food was still hot and not greasy at all.
We tried the combination plate ...
- Beef
- Lamb
- Chicken
- Rice and Vegetables.
The Lemonade was cold and the service couldn't have been better .
We will be back.

The food here is pretty good. I usually go with the Gyro sandwich for $7.99 or the plate which cost $10.99. Your meat options are chicken, beef, lamb, or falafel. They also have vegetarian options.
Gyro king is located inside the food court so you can't see it from the parking lot. They get lost of traffic so the food is pretty fresh.

Really tasty, exactly what you'd expect honestly, the prototypical gyro at a pretty nice price, and I'll definitely stop in again to try the rest of the menu!
The gyros here are amazing! I didn't even like gyros before this place. It's tucked away in a food court that's in a shopping center off Michelson and Von Karman. It took me a while to find this place because Google Maps leads you to another building down the street. Just enter Concourse Optometry in maps, and it'll lead you to the correct parking lot. Parking can be a headache during lunch hour because the are many offices in the area. That doesn't take away from how delicious Gyro King is, though. The employee that helped us was very kind and our food came out quickly. I am now an addict; I've even ordered it for delivery when I couldn't make it up here.
Gyros here are very good and we portioned. For under $10 you get a decent meal. They als have these desserts called baklava which is made with pistachio OMG they are sooo delicious.
Iv had the gyros and the salads and they are o.k. but the kebabs are extraordinary. The beef skewers were incredibly flavorful. The swordfish kebab was a phenomenal peice of fish.
This place serves Greek food hence the name Gyro King. This place is next to the plaza as they recently renovated the plaza here and added an entire food court which has made this gyro King my new go to place for a quick lunch.
Not bad a place for a 1st times like me. The gyro meat was great I recommend the plate which adds salad and hummus.
This place is super awesome! I ordered a gyro plate and the salad, hummus, and the gyros were absolutely tremendous. Recc a visit!
Very nice. Sometimes falafel can be hit or miss. This was very good. Crispy, not greasy. Excellent dipping sauces. I'll be back.
Great portion sizes, very tasty. Be warned, the gyro plate does not come with flatbread. Not really a gyro
