First timer. Sunday morning breakfast for a loud group of 5, excellent service. TY Deidra & Heather for taking such good care of us! Gravy & biscuits were dreamy & almost as good as mine! Shared a pancake, as it was huge (& fluffy!) Can’t wait to come back & try a burger & famous Blue Bell ice cream shake! Rick & Sue have done a great job making this a fun diner with great food & service!

We met up with family there tonight. Service was GREAT! The food isn’t fancy, just good ol’ diner food I remember having before fast food took over. Enjoy your food and conversation. Don’t forget desert! Hand scooped ice cream or a shake. Or be like me and enjoy a slice of home made pie. I had the chocolate merengue and it was YUMMY! Rich thick chocolate like I make at home. This is truly a hidden gem of Irving.

Well that was amazing! Everything was good. The eggs were fresh and perfect, the sausage patties were full of flavor. My husband says they know how to make a proper omelette. Our waitress Heather, who will from this point forward be know as the Goddess of Milkshakes, made us a peanut butter fudge cake shake that was better than your imagination is telling you it would be. Not to mention she took excellent care of us with her spunky and fun personality!!! We will be back, a lot!

Love all their food but breakfast is awesome. Their patty melts are great, their taco salads are great and the staff is always friendly

Very good food, but couple that with the people and atmosphere, and it's a gem. I loved the people on the other side of the counter, I bellied up, and sat by people who knew all the staff. That says a lot!

2nd time here in years ! The place is alot bigger. They unfortunately don't have a mini store anymore its basically full on restaurant. You get greeted right when you come in and sit wherever you like. Waitress was super sweet. Food does take a while to get to you but its due to it being made fresh right when you order it. So worth it! I got the goose burger its delicious. Hot link is amazing. Just couldn't finish it lol so huge ! Definitely coming back again to try other items on their menu. Recommend this place 100% .

Checked out this Irving institution for dinner last night and will definitely be back for a shake and cheese fries! Service: Friendly and familiar. You could tell a lot of the clients are regulars, but the staff treats everyone as such, creating a warm environment. Food: Strokers Cheeseburger is my fiancé’s new favorite burger. The Rocky Burger was good, but next time I think I’ll add bacon to kick it up a notch. We also ordered shakes and cheese fries - I think they stole the show! Love that they use Bluebell ice cream - definitely makes the shake. Atmosphere: The place is family friendly, for sure. The I super appreciated their pictures showing Irving’s history, instead of just generic vintage items. It made the place for me. Overall: Good food, great service, fun atmosphere! We’ll be back and hope you check it out too!

It was a nice old fashion cafe! I enjoyed the esthetic of the restaurant. I got their double cheese burger (i forgot the real name of it) and my boyfriend got the Donald. The burgers are a really good size we both ended up having to get togo boxes. The food was affordable the most expensive item was $12. The wait staff was a little slow but think it might have just been an off day for her. She thought she had already taken our order so we had to flag her down. We were able to stay and talk after our meal and did not feel rushed at all. I definitely will be back to try their shakes everyone they brought out looked so yummy 😋

Quintessential diner food, lousy coffee, excellent service...just the way I like it. I'm glad a few places, like Big State Fountain Grill, still exist. If you're feeling nostalgic for 'The Before Times', stop in for lunch. I recommend the Bettie Page BLT, a side of onion rings, and a strawberry milkshake. 🍓

Stopped in because I love a classic burger. Everything about this place was classic. Great decor and awesome service. Adreena took my order which was the strokers cheeseburger with bacon, and a chocolate and peanut butter shake. She made me one of the best shakes I’ve ever had. The burger was delicious and very filling, double meat and cheese. I could barely finish. The tots were nice and crispy, but Adreena says the fries are better. If you are in the area, I highly recommend this place. Come out and support your local businesses.

2nd time there and the food was just as good. Had blue cheese burger with bacon and fries. Bread was like a sweet bread was soft and toasted. Meat was juicyband had flavor. Fries were hot and crispy. Places was clean and almost empty. Sat right away and food came fast.
