Love this little place, and almost always use the drive through. Have tried their Chimichanga Plate, Taco Salad, Carne Asada Fries, Enchiladas, Gorditas, Chili Rellenos, Rolled tacos (flautas) and burritos. The enchiladas are just the slightest bit tough, but the taste is excellent, so I forgive. Have never had a bad meal in 10+ years. Only the very occasional mixed order - if you verify at the window you will be fine.
I like the food, real deal tacos and all the rest, and fast, but not fast food like Taco Bell. It's a random little spot, but they know their food, and knock it out great.
Refurbished Taco Bell run by people who know their tacos. They speak English but you're better off in Spanish - and that's exactly the kinda place I like. The carne asada was good. Desebrada was marginal and the carnitas were good. We would go back!
Best Beef Tacos in Town. If you’re looking for authentic Mexican tacos then I have to recommend this place, in my opinion they are the best in town. You have to ignore the pot holes in the parking lot and remember that all the hole in the wall joints are usually the best, with only about 7 to 8 tables the kitchen seems bigger than the actual dine in area. The ladies in the kitchen are super nice and remind you of your Tia’s during the holidays, hard at work preparing food made with love. The tortillas are coated with butter and cooked on the grill to give them that sweet greasy taste we all love, then they fill them with beef fajita cut into tiny strands (like the way mamma would cut your carnitas when you were 5), and top them with onion and cilantro and don’t forget the green hot sauce, they put the sauce into squeezable ketchup bottles (genius). Swing by, tell your friends and enjoy.
Tasty Tacos. I have been there several times and try to get something new each time.Everything has been wonderful. I especially like the el Pastor and the carnitas. Everything has been d=fresh and the prices are reasonable.
The carne asada fries are awesome.
If you love chorizo then I recommend either the chorizo breakfast burrito (HUGE! And only $3.25 after tax) or the chroizo tacos (make sure it is made with egg! These are about 1.50 after tax) I have had other tacos and all are amazing and you just can't stop eatting!
I tried chicken chimichangas for lunch. It is very tasty.
Essential Breakfast Spot. These breakfast burritos are INSANE! I always go for the egg-bacon-potato burrito. It's as big as my forearm (and I have big forearms). It is packed with flavor, and their tomatillo salsa is awesome. I always ask for extra. I hear all of their food is good, but I've been there around the clock, and I can never stop myself from ordering breakfast.
Been here a few times since I found out about it..and being from San Diego, it's the closest you'll get to having good Cali Mexican food.
Came down to Irving to so my mom-in-law could have menudo. She says the menudo is very good too! I tried the chimichanga and I can say it was really good! I want to try the rolled tacos or enchiladas next time.
Best tacos in town. Go for the pork
Taco's. I enjoyed the tacos. The fish was my least favorite of the three. The carnitas taco was my favorite. However as a whole I found the tacos at San Diego Taco Shop to be just average.
This little gem in Irving is the latest discovery I made. I always noticed that their drive-thru was always busy. To some that may be a hassle, to me that means that the food must be good, and I was not wrong. The food has a very homemade Mexican taste and the prices are decent. The only inconvenience is that their dine-in is not spacious, but it's worth it. I recommended.
Tacos de Barbacoa are amazing!! Sopes& enchiladas were delicious🤤
Limonada/lemonade was on point!! It's perfect for summer. Some places sell water down or powder lemonade smh. I ate inside it wasn't packed so around 2pm is perfect to go.
This place is so cute! They’re open until 2am, i went around 1am and was quickly serviced. The lady at the counter was pleasant and patient and attentive. We sat down to eat and the atmosphere was so comfy. 10/10 recommend!!
I love San Diego taco it is my go-to place for a good breakfast burrito. The burrito is so big you can share it with someone. It tastes like a good homemade Mexican breakfast burrito. It's not made with powdered eggs like Sonic it's not made with processed imitation bacon like McDonald's, it's not a small burrito like Whataburger, it is a jumbo good size burrito try it on for size see how you like it
My favorite taco shop I have ever been to. I've been coming to this place since it was originally a Taco Bell in the early 2000s. The carne asada and breakfast burritos are bomb. Just massive tortillas full of deliciousness. This place has salsa that hasn't been beat across the US. If you love fiery salsa you have to try the red stuff.
