We order iced latte and it was very good, 100% Hawaiian coffee. The cream puff was awesome and the almond florentines was so decadent and delicious. The brownies wasn’t my favorite; it’s not traditional rich it more like chocolate cake. The service is wonderful. The staff is super sweet and friendly. Worth stopping.
We had breakfast at the Cafe, which is a separate building closer to the street. Both the corned beef hash and the avocado omelette were exceptionally tasty and super filling! The potatoes were cooked perfectly which is always a sign of a truly good breakfast spot. We got lattes which were also very well made and delicious with a little honey drizzled on top.
Delicious bakery! My wife and I stopped here early this morning before starting our day of hiking and sightseeing. We bought a variety of sweet and savory pastries to fuel us up all day. Everything we tried was excellent! My personal favorite was the (muffin sized) pineapple upside down cake. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area!
My husband and I frequented Mamane Bakery during our 10 day trip to the Big Island. This is a great place to stop for breakfast, snack, or even a special occasion cake! We especially loved the pineapple upside down cake, bagel dogs, and ham and cheese croissant. The chocolate birthday cake that my husband ordered for me was absolutely perfect!!
On our next trip to Hawaii, we will be sure to go back to Mamane!
Very good local bakery in Waimea, HI. Unassuming storefront but wait til you step inside! A little hard to see from the road (small sign w/arrow) but worth looking for! Fresh delicious baked goods at reasonable prices. One of the best banana bread in Hawaii! Very good assortment of delicious bread and buttery pastries/danishes. Eli (owner) and everyone there has much aloha. We always stop by several times whenever on island...extremely difficult to loose weight ;-)
This place was recommended to me by a friend. It's a little hard to find so I would suggest maybe looking it up on Google Street view as there is a sign on the road but it's easy to miss.
The bakery shares a road in with a small restaurant and is in the back. Parking is right in front of the building and the entrance is just a regular door. The lady inside said as long as the door is open they open.
There isn't a huge selection in here but there are some breads along with various pastries. I came for the pineapple upside down uhh...muffin? Also grabbed a chocolate croissant and a cinnamon crumb cake. Total was around $9 and everything we got was at least pretty good, the best was that pineapple muffin.
It's a huge bakery in the back and only a small section up front so they must make baked goods for other places as well.
I emailed the bakery and told them a little about what my daughter likes, what flavors she likes and asked them to use their creative design to complete the order... they did a fabulous job. The cake was delicious, my daughter loved the unicorn and rainbow, the price was right, and it was ready when I needed it. Aloha and mahalo!
I came to Hawaii for my fiance's birthday. I found this bakery off google and I would HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone. The pineapple upside down cake was hands down the best cake I have ever had. The delivery service was flawless. Over all such an amazing experience.
The best bakery on the island! They make amazing sourdough loaves (cheddar & jalapeño is to die for) and delicious treats like cookies and bear claws.
Note: the storefront is closed on Mondays but the back bakery is open for retail purchases. There are limited quantities of things though since they’re open for order only. The store front on the street side is only open Tuesday-Saturday.
