I highly recommend this authentic Mexican restaurant. The food was amazing! They even have Salvadorian Popusas! Delicious! The staff were very kind and attentive. The cheese enchilada with green sauce was the best!

The artwork inside was very enjoyable. My son loved his chicken quesadilla. I ordered the dish with the mojarra and shrimp. DELISH!!

We are new to the area and have struggled finding a worthy Mexican food restaurant. We have tried numerous from Pine grove to Jackson. Save your money and gut and just go to El Mira Mar.
This place is owned by a mother/daughter duo. We were lucky enough to meet the mother as she was our server. She went above and beyond, was friendly, quick, and offered great conversation.
I ordered the chimichanga and OMG that thing was huge. The photo is half of what was left after I gorged myself. I ordered the chili Colorado filled one.
Location: right of Ridge and Hwy 49 near Lowes. Super easy and convenient.
Cleanliness: this has been something lacking in every single Mexican food restaurant in Amador County. Not one has been even remotely clean! I always order a chimichanga and I can tell at first bite if it was fried in dirty oil. I'll be damned if El Mira mar didnt meet my mark. I sighed a deep breath of relief as I took my first bite. THANKYOU SO MUCH EL MIRA MAR for acting with integrity in your business and keeping it clean. From the oil to the dishware and floors, I am impressed and you have set the standard in the county and I wish every Mexican Restaurant would follow your lead. It's the first chimi I have had in the county that was fried in clean oil.
I was happy with the overall cost of our meal, it was worth it and she even ended it with a kiss! A Hershey kiss that is.
We will be back and next time we will bring out kids with us to check the place out.

They treat you like family! I recently hosted a Wedding Rehearsal dinner with 23 guests. This restaurant got EVERY order exactly correct! That's an amazing accomplishment. EVERYONE left very HAPPY! That's another amazing accomplishment. In short, this place was exceptionally friendly and the food was great. I guarantee that if I ever find myself in that part of the world again, and I need to find a good restaurant, I will choose from a short list of exactly ONE place: El Mira Mar! They treated me and my family just like we were THEIR family. HIGHLY recommended.
Great food! We had tamales, tacos and rice n beans. Oh yeah the flan (great) w/o whip cream. Don't believe in it, love it plain! Very pleasant staff. Good service also.

The food was wonderful. The environment is colorful and stimulating. The family that owns and operates restaurant really put for a very friendly effort. Food is flavorful. Delivered on extremely hot plates. Colored tortilla chips and a very unique Smoky salsa. Menu is extensive. A lot of Mexican, El Salvadorian, Guatemalan, and Colombian influence. They specialize in Seafood. Not your ordinary Mexican restaurant. The choices are numerous and so well described it is hard to choose. Modestly priced. I just found my favorite Mexican restaurant in the Jackson Sutter Creek Foothills area.
Went here with my best friend's family when he came to visit a few months back. Had a great experience and the food was amazing! You get so much food for the price! The decor is different than any other Mexican restaurant I've been in, it feels like a Mexican restaurant with an ocean themed twist. And the mural on the wall is beautiful. I will definitely be back soon!
El Mira Mesa Mexican Restuarant was amazing! Great service, very inviting personality, and even better was their food! Fantastic flavors, the kind you want to continue tasting even after you've fooled your belly! Most definitely a new found favorite in Jackson California! Highly recommend.
Huge menu...almost too many choices. Hubby had the bacon wrapped shrimp entree and it was a huge serving. Very attractively plated, and delish!
Service was quick but not hurried. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Planning to have my besties birthday party there. Hopefully it will be another great adventure.
The only thing we noticed was no combination plates..which I enjoy. Maybe in the future! We will def be back!
