Been there several times, about due for a report. Tough to find a parking place at prime time, but worth it. Everything inside and with the food is very precise and attention to detail is evident. Additionally, you are provided a warm cloth to clean your hands before your meal and a piece of fruit afterward. Got a to-go order recently and the Miso Soup was wrapped individually inside the larger bag and not tied in a hard knot, but with sort of a loop that was simple and easy to open. I don't do much take-out, so maybe everybody does it that way, but it was indicative of the aforementioned conscientious detail. All I've had are rolls and they seem a bit more delicate and special than some places and all have been top notch. A well managed and delicious place to dine.
The old adage of not judging a book by its cover truly pertains to Edo. Not the most approachable establishment but the plating, flavors and service was my primary focus. I nestled in at the 4 seat sushi bar and watched my Volcano & Spicy crawfish rolls were masterfully prepared. Add a touch of my fav sauces (sriracha & eel) and I had the perfect lunch. So after only one visit, I'm adding this spot to my growing list of local sushi stops. The only complaint I would have is that if you order a soft drink, you're given a 16.9oz bottle and ice, basically equivalent to one serving with no refills.
Our new go-to place for sushi in Jackson. Chirashi was delicious and beautiful. Rolls flavorful and tight, especially the spicy shrimp roll. Can't imagine going anywhere else for sushi now.
This used to be our fav place until we had an awful experience with the owner Jenny. She was very rude to us and the waitress!. We will not be back.
We all love Edo's Restaurant , I have never had anything bad here, the menu
has a great variety of all Japanese
Dishes and the waitstaff is wonderful.
Really Good!. We went here after having Osaka the day before..wish we would of gone here first and we would not of gone any where else. Comparing the two, Edo is much better. Service was head and shoulders above Osaka, prices were better and food was better. We ordered several of the same rolls (shrimp tempura and eel) with Edo being better in flavor and rolled better with not falling apart. We were seated right away.. had questions about crab salad..the young man didn't know answer..but right away said "I will ask!" which I appreciate. We ordered crab salad, shrimp tempura roll, two snow crab rolls, unagi roll.. all were fresh and tasty! They brought us miso that had much more flavor than others in town.. a small salad of crab and pickled cucumbers that was amazing and of course warm towels for cleaning hands. All of this for $34!!! at dinner hours! I would go here and no other place in Jackson. I think because it is not fancy people don't give it a chance..it is better tasting by far. The only complaint is the website doesn't list most of their rolls.. it made it look like only specialty rolls were made..but they have basic to complex rolls and amazing prices and you can order half rolls.
Consistantly good.... A secret hole in the wall...well worth a visit. Sushi is fabulous!
First impression was great when they served up complimentary miso soup. I have never been disappointed with the sushi and am so sad that I'm never visiting Jackson any more since it's hard to find authentic Japanese like this anywhere else!
For the longest time.... I got my sushi fix from Nagoya. My girlfriend highly recommended Edo/Haru and, well, I believe they have now taken the mantle for "favorite Sushi" in Jackson! Prices are competitive, but they have some more unique rolls. The crab salad they serve along with the miso gives them a definite edge! The Dragon Fly roll was fantastic and I really want to go get another!
Go here. Eat sushi. Be happy.
This place was great! The sushi was fresh and flavorful. The fried rice with shrimp was incredible and the service was top notch. I would definitely recommend this place and go back again.
Edo is the uncontested king of sushi in Jackson. The fish is fresh and the dishes creative. Even non-sushi items are good (combo fried rice, soups, etc.). The fish here is better than much of what you can find in larger cities. If you give Edo a chance, you will likely also come to love the year-round Christmas music and hole-in-the-wall atmosphere. Awesome sushi joint.
Best sushi in Jackson for the price. Never had a bad piece of fish here and it's always flavorful and fresh.
Since moving to Jackson a few years back, I'd always been a loyal Sakura Bana patron until I finally tried this place a couple weeks ago. Go here, its everything Sakura isn't. Unique specialty rolls all pictured on the menu, fast friendly service (every roll we ordered came at the same time.) Less crowded with high schoolers than other places and reasonably priced. The only real downside is they dont serve sake. Nevertheless, Edo is now in my mix.
Amazing! Lunch special is $7 for two rolls, soup and a salad. I love the spicy salmon crunchy roll. I go here all the time! Best sushi in Jackson!
Simply outstanding. Delicious rolls, apetizers, and entrees. Excellent service, generous portions, fair price. Not crowded.
AWESOME!!!!. I have been wanting to try Edo for a few weeks now and we finally got the chance to go tonight. We were NOT disappointed!! The decor is relaxing, the service was awesome, Jeff is a very good waiter!!! The menu was enormous with lots of sushi choices and many different entrees and appetizers to choose from. The food arrived in what seemed like a perfect unending chain of yumminess!! I think we have found our new favorite sushi bar in our new town!! Thanks EDO!!!
The best in Jackson. Edo's is Jackson's best kept sushi secret!! I am a self proclaimed "Foodie" and love trying new places to eat! After feeling mundane about constantly going to Nagoya, and a lukewarm experience at Pan-Asia, I decided to try Edo's. I was SOLD! The rolls are huge and the prices are reasonable. It's a small place with a small staff but, they are friendly and fast. I've gone so much that I've acquired a personal rapport with the owners! Try Edo's! You'll love it!!
Service is great. Rolls are delicious. If you're tired of waiting at Sakura Bana, try out Edo. The atmosphere is not as good, but it's nice to have great sushi without having to wait an hour. Very kid-friendly and my kids loved it. We'll definitely visit again.
Large Pieces and Great Price. Haru has some great sushi for the price. Largest pieces with less rice. They are so large that I recommend having them cut into 8 pieces rather than the standard 6.
Be warned though, service is sometimes a little slow, but the price and quality make it well worth it.
The service was wonderful and the sushi and shichimi was delicious. The presentation was so lovely you almost don't want to eat it. I would definitely recommend eating here.
Had Edo for lunch with my teenage son and we both loved it. There were so many sushi options to select from. And it was delicious! The server was patient - it was our first time, so we had a million questions - and polite. The entire experience was great. We will be returning soon.
I’m so glad this place was recommended to me. It’s located in a small plaza next to a liquor store and looks like nothing from the outside, but the sushi was excellent and the plates are beautifully presented. If you are visiting Jackson and you love sushi, dining here is a MUST. 10/10
Great food, great service. Fish was amazing and the usual price we expect to pay. It was also thickly cut fish, which made it even better! Definitely a solid place and so glad we stopped here!
My first visit to Edo. Ordered online, the hibachi was delicious and so filling. It came with soup and salad, the hibachi had all of my favorite veggies. I will definitely go back and maybe try the sushi rolls.
I love Edo. It is in my top 2 for sushi in the Jackson area. They have traditional Japanese food as well which is incredible. I have been to Japan twice and this is about as close as it gets in Jackson. The service can be a little slow or off sometimes, but the food never disappoints. They have a fitting decor setup inside as well.
Best sushi place EVER! It was the first sushi place i ever went to and even after going to other places it is still my favorite. It has wonderful food, great service, and even if it takes a little longer than usual it is completely worth it.
Sushi is what's for dinner. The parking lot was packed, but we were seated fairly quickly. We ordered the sushi and sashimi for two, it includes a spicy tuna roll, but we switched it out for the philly roll for a small upcharge. We also ordered sweet shrimp, and a wasabi tobiko roll.
Everything we had was delicious, and extremely fresh! Some of the best octopus we've had around, super tender. The rice to fish ratio in their rolls were perfect, their philly is the biggest we've seen in a while 😆 No complaints, lots of salmon, cream cheese, and avo, with little rice, just how we like it. My favorite bite were the crispy fried shrimp heads from our sweet shrimp, nothing better than head butter 🤤 My 2nd fav bite is the fresh white tuna, it's not fishy at all, my favorite cut of sashimi.
Service was great, wished I asked for her name. I had food coma and they had relaxing spa music on, so I couldn't focus and almost fell asleep. Overall one of the BEST sushi places around!!
