Hands down, the best Mexican food in Jacksonville! The food taste freshly made, full of flavor and fairly priced. Don't pass this place up if you have the chance to try them out. Highly recommend.
This was the absolute best Mexican lunch special ever! Fairly priced at $10 I am more than satisfied and full. Alfredo is a great server and extremely attentive. I'd give this place 6 stars if I could.

Outside is unassuming, inside is small but clean. Our waitress was wonderful, she was SO nice. The tacos were delicious, the kids burritos were good too. I usually order tortilla soup to test the waters, and I would NOT order the soup from here again. We'd come back for tacos and guac though!
Food was good, I had the combination plate with one tamale and black beans and rice. Along with my chips and salsa if you ask they'll give you some hot salsa it was really good.
My husband had the combination plate with one hard taco and two cheese enchiladas and he enjoyed it very much.
They have a great newer menu with street food options like Elote, which was super delicious! I have been coming here since as long as I can remember, at least age six. I am now twenty-eight years old and I still love eating here! Great customer service, amazing food (especially the cheese!), and a fun, relaxing atmosphere! Also taco Tuesday is amazing, cheap and tasty tacos!
We had a work lunch and decided to go to El Cerro Grande. The food selection was good and the food was prepared well. The restaurant is clean and well kept. The staff were friendly and took good care of us.
I lived in San Diego for a while so I've eaten plenty of legit Mexican food. THERE IS a difference in East and West coast Mexican food and I like both for what they are. That said this place had a LEGIT California Burrito! This is only the second place outside of the West Coast I've had a Cali burrito that didn't make me wish I'd ordered something else.
The burrito was MASSIVE. I should have stopped at about half of it but I ate the entire burrito! The steak was tasty the fries were delicious the guacamole was excellent just a tad of.lettuce some beans and rice...and cheese! Awesomeness!
Chips were warm, fresh and crispy. Salsa was plentiful. They brought the salsa out to refill the bowls in a drink pitcher! Salsa was not hot and not too mild. Nothing to rave about but good enough I ate waay to much of it!
I'll be back next trip to JVille!
My wife had gone to el cerro with her friends a few times and had been raving about the experience. The other day she wanted tacos and we went together. Great Mexican restaurant all around. Great food, fast and friendly service and moderate prices. I couldn’t have been happier that we went. Highly recommended on
I had a waitress who saw when I was done eating drinking and knew what I was asking for like how I said cheese sauce and knew I meant cheese dip it was fantastic service the food was exactly how I liked it and a super pleasant atmosphere sorry about Grammer I have pretty bad grammer ask my English teachers they could tell you so, Thank you you made my day after hours of work and a meal only 19.21$ and three cups of lemonade and cheese dip it is a fantastic restaurant for a great price I recommend you visit. Thank you all and have a great life!!!
Good Modest Place to Eat with Friendly Staff. The outside building look takes away from the comfy inside of relaxing atmosphere. Nice place to take the family with good options for the meat eater as well as the vegetarian eater
It’s the top Mexican restaurant in Jacksonville for me! The food is so good! Don't let fact that its in front of the inn scare you away its so good! Definitely gove it a chance you won’t be disappointed
