Wow!! Great find here!! I'm a trucker passing through and stopped for brunch. Place was packed, but being solo got me a spot at the counter which I enjoy. Great friendly service! Got a chicken salad sandwich with bacon and again, Wow!!! Some of the greatest chicken salad I've had in a while, and they are NOT skimpy with the portions! Side of potato salad was great too! Can't wait to come back again and try the country fried steak which I hear is also awesome!
Best club sandwich and green beans I’ve had anywhere. Our waitress was super nice. It was my first time here and I’ll definitely be back to try the biscuits and gravy which is what my son ordered and it looked great.
Went in for the first time today. It was a Saturday morning so they were a little busy. Wife and I stood at the front door for a few minutes and we're unsure if you're supposed to seat yourself or wait to be seated. After being passed by a few employees multiple times, we ended up just seating ourselves. I recommend putting a sign up, because reading other reviews it's clearly an issue.
Server was great, my breakfast sandwich was great, but my Wife's cheese grits were tasteless and you could tell they put a slice of kraft cheese in it and it didn't even melt all the way.
I'm open to trying them again, but I don't know what all the rave is about.
We came in from Connecticut on our way to St Augustine. The server was attentive, a they had a full menu . A Very large cup for their soft drinks! Awesome! Food may take awhile to come, but there is a sign that tells you, “ This is homemade food it takes a while”. Our food came out hot and made to order. We Highly recommended this restaurant. It seems the locals know this already because it was busy. What a great find❤️
My husband and I was, so impressed on our first visit at Terry's. We felt welcomed from the moment we walked in. The owner Terry and his wife Celine was very personable. Our waitress was awesome too! The food came out fast and it was tasty...the grits were yummy and my husband loved his pancake! We will definitely visit again!!
My wife and I were in the area to attend a friend's wedding. Found this place and since it was close to our hotel decided to try it out. When we arrived we were welcomed by the owner that was very friendly. Service was excellent and food was delicious. Great hospitality and value. Highly recommend if you are in the area and looking for a delicious breakfast.
We just stopped by for a late breakfast and highly recommend this place. The service was excellent and the food was delicious, especially the crispy bacon.
We met the owners Mark and Salene, they were working hard with their staff, greeted everyone as they entered and checked in with every table to make sure everything was OK.
This place should be a north Jax staple if it isn’t already. The food was incredible, the vibe was immaculate. Perfectly filling (and I eat a lot). I had never been before, I was waiting for awhile to be seated but you’re supposed to seat yourself haha. It was packed when we got there so you already know it’s delicious.

Quick overview: Delicious Cheap food with good service
Danielle was our server this morning. We chose a booth and sat, she came to us and took our drinks down. Once she came back with our drinks she took our orders and I asked what her favorite meal was. Danielle told me the corned beef hash crispy with home fries and scrambled, that sounded good to me so I ordered it and it was wonderful. The eggs were cooked perfectly all it needed was a dash of salt but I tend to like my food on the salty side. The wait time was excellent, only taking 10 minutes to sit order and eat. Next time I come back I will definitely try the meatloaf.
Service was spot on. The owner Mark was out on the floor helping the waitresses anyway he could ,from pouring coffee to cleaning tables and delivering food. He was chatting with the customers the whole time. He sat down to chat with us,when we asked to talk to him to tell him how wonderful our experience was. We had a party of 4 and all ordered different meals and everything was excellant.The next time we are in Jacksonville we will visit again.
If we could give more than 5 🌟 we would.
Great local diner! Breakfast, lunch and daily specials. Food freshly made to order. Tried the Oatmeal, pancakes and a homemade biscuit sandwich with bacon, egg and cheese with a side order of red, juicy sliced tomatoes. For lunch, the tuna salad is incredible, the taco salad (Fri, Sat) and club sandwich. Delicious homemade ranch dressing. Patriotic establishment!

You could tell it was a good "locals" dinner...and I mean that with the highest respect. Many people were regulars which to me speaks volumes.

The food is great home cooked country style. The service is wonderful as well. The chicken and dumplings had lots of chicken in every bite. The green beans had a hammock flavor. The collard greens were delicious flavored with hammocks and garlic, perfectly cooked. The corn muffin was soft and sweet. The corn nuggets were perfectly prepared. My friend had a tuna salad large enough for two meals. It tasted nice. The only problem with this place is that the hours are from 6 to 3. So it closes too early for me.
Omelette was delicious, staff was very friendly. It can get pretty busy here, pretty fast!! If you’re in a rush, I suggest calling and placing your order before arrival. Overall, I’ll definitely be coming back when I visit Jacksonville again
