Been here twice now and loved it! First time ordered the Italian pie and the Atlantic Beach pie (Philly cheese steak pizza!) They were delicious and our server was great. Restaurant was clean, except for the ceiling which probably needs to be dusted before something falls into the food. Second time I was just picking up a carry out order and the staff was unbelievably nice. I was asked by the hostess if I wanted a drink while I waited and they kept me updated on when my food would be out even though I was in no hurry. Truly above and beyond what I expected! I ordered the BLT pizza and the Chicken Club, both of which were great, though beware the BLT can be messy. 11/10 recommend. This place rocks. We can't wait to come back and try the rest of the menu.
After hearing about Al’s for years we finally tried it last night and loved the pizza. We recommend the artichoke, olive and peppers pizza. Yum!
I love Als! This is my favorite place. The staff was friendly and attentive and my pizza was delicious! I ordered 2 slices of deluxe pizza and the veggies were so fresh and it was so tasty! I'll be back today lol
My go to Italian restaurant in Jacksonville great food. The fettuccine Alfredo sauce is the best in town My wife loves their Meatballs and spaghetti 🍝 she loves the sauce
I love this place and the staff! My close friends and I go to Al's every Thursday night for dollar pizza slices and beer and we always have a great time. It's something I look forward to every week and something serious has to happen for us to miss our Thursday night get togethers. Kind of a beautiful thing if you think about it. So in closing, try to set aside some quality time for friends and family and Al's pizza in AB is in my opinion the perfect place to spend that precious time together.

We just had a party for 54 people at Al's. We couldn't have asked for a more attentive staff or well organized event. Bridget, the manager, gave us a private room and Tyler, Angie, and Kristen served delicious flatbread appetizers while they passed out beer and wine to our members. Our dinners were delicious and were served quickly and politely. We had a wonderful evening, thanks to the great people and food at Al's.
We have been going here for years. Love the food and the staff is always great. We've never had a bad experience here. Thanks.
Loves this place as they are very flexible and welling to make the pizza to our needs... Especially loves their crispy thin pizza... Ya gotta go there.... It's nicest atmosphere as can eat inside or outside with tables and chairs... Only thing is while eating outside wish people not smoke... It would be wonderful if both indoor and outdoor is smoke-free... Thank ya sooo much for the delicious Pizza the other night...
WOW Best salad ever!!!. I just ordered a greek salad with Chicken and seriously it was by far the best salad I have ever had! Not only would I have it again, Im getting it again on monday! YUMMM And Im greek and very picky about my salads, the marinated chicken is so flavorful.
Ate here for the first time since moving here in 2005 and its the BEST pizza I've ever had! Mozzarella is fresh, tomatoes are light and crisp, crust isn't greasy, and the restaurant is clean and architecturally beautiful. BEST pizza restaurant in Jacksonville!
Fun and Casual Dining Experience. I like going to Al’s Pizza with groups of friends, we always have a good time, the staff is very friendly and the service is quick. Al’s Pizza is a great place for casual, affordable Italian food. I always get the Eggplant Parm, it’s so good!

I definitely enjoyed chowing down here. The place has a nice urban vibe to it and it's very well kept and cleaned. While the pizza is not the best I've ever had, it's worth the price. The bar is nice too and they had the NBA game I didn't wanna miss
Awesome!. I love everything about Al's! They use fresh ingredients, which makes their food so tasty! Their pizza is terrific and they have great pasta dishes! I love the family atmosphere and excellent service!
Can be great.. I love ALs Pizza.. its a nice little spot for a pizza.
However, when I am there I only ever get horrible service because everyone who works there is always talking to someone else who works there.. about how they get the bar tender to sneak them drinks in the take out cups.

Our party of three ordered slices of pizza with side salads, the marinated chicken breast salad and a side of the pesto cheese bread. The food was freshly prepared and enjoyable.
A colleague in the office was not impressed by their pasta offerings during a previous visit.
Not too overcrowded at lunch time and the nearby parking was hassle free.
I was very impressed by the taste of the food. I ordered the mussells in white suace for the appetizer and a salad with garlic balsamic dressing. Lasagna for the entree'. I thought this was going to be a place that was over rated like most places on the river side. The food was flavored very well, no commercial flavored dishes. I will return very soon and bring more people. FYI, I don't order pizza from pizza parlors. They seem to be cheaply made.
Sicilian Style!. Although everyone seems to rave about their thin crust pizza's I found them to be a little bland -- I much prefer their thick Sicilian style square pizza. The large can serve an army and the crust is light and airy, more like the Stouffers French Bread pizzas I remember from my college days.
We've also tried their basic Italian-American dishes like spaghetti and meatballs or sausage and found those to be quite tasty and filling. The atmosphere feels remarkably upscale for a pizza joint, since they have high-backed booths affording a degree of privacy. There are also a few tables outside for dining.
UPDATE: we've just tried their thin-crust spicy Caribbean chicken pizza, and now we are converts. This was very flavorful, particularly the peppery cheese sauce.

Nice pizza place.... Good food, nice location. Probably my favorite pizza in Jacksonville. Their deluxe pizza is unbelievably good.
Al's Pizza isn't just another local restaurant chain, it's a Jacksonville icon, a staple in the diet of anyone who cares about either a) quality pizza or b) supporting worthwhile local businesses.businesses.
Came to FL in vacation to get pizza from a different place than chain pizza establishments. We came across Al's Pizza. Server was friendly, attentive and helpful. Food was made fresh and was brought out hot. You can even see them making fresh dough. When we were done, the server told us about a coupon that we could use on the app and boxes our leftover pizza for us. I highly recommend Al's Pizza if you are in Jacksonville.
Quick and friendly service and fresh beer! Only criticism I have is that I wish the tomato sauce was individually crafted and had a distinct, Italian flavor.
The calamari was excellent.
The garlic bread was ok.
The lasagna was middle-of-the-road.
Good place to hang out over beers but not a place I'd consider special or unique.

Me and my husband are lunch at Al's today and it was delicious!! I ordered the lunch size chicken carbonara and he ordered the deluxe calzone and as you can see we had more than enough food. The food tastes great as well. We will definitely be back!!!

I really like the pizza at this place! And the staff is very nice.
Our food was absolutely delicious and timely, our waiter was very friendly and the restaurant was clean with great music and energy.
Food is great and the appearance is beautiful. My son and I enjoyed sitting outside after riding bikes around town. Only thing is, the seasoning for the outside tables do not have covers on them to prevent dust or small particles to go in the salt, pepper, parmesan cheese or chili peppers. Other than that, it was great! Also the staff has amazing customer service. Everyone is smiling and more than happy to assist you; even if they're not your waiter or waitress.
This was a good spot for lunch. I had the chicken parmigiana with the house made chips and it was good. Would go again.

I love their BBQ chicken pizza!! I always get it 😅 the calzones and the zucchini fries are awesome too. Overall good food. I've recommended them several time before. Staff is always friendly and pick up orders are pretty easy as well. Seating area is a nice size. I do wish there was more leg space at the booths though.
The pizza was a New York style with garlic butter on the crust, it was seasoned too perfection. Absolutely loved it will definitely be returning.
Eating here is my favorite part of the day! Always pleasant people to deal with and the food (especially the calzone) is the best on the planet!

Update. Stopped in for lunch before leaving the area from a small mini vacation. Tried the flat bread margarita pizza, pepperoni added of course. Amazing!! Just delicious!! The pesto!! Omg!
