My taco looked like a work of art and was so fresh tasting and delicious! Was so impressed with the quality and presentation of the food, super fast and cheerful waitstaff, and could not believe how low the prices were! Amazing!

My wife and I are on an overnight getaway trip to Jacksonville to do some shopping and dining. While here we ate dinner at Cantina Louie (Jacksonville/Southside) because my wife really likes Mexican food! We were not disappointed. The restaurant is brightly decorated in a Day of the Dead theme. We were seated at a table that had a long bench on one side and chairs on the other. We appreciated that there was ample room between tables so that we didn't encroach on each other's conversations. Our server was friendly and efficient and the menu was quite extensive. I ordered three different kinds of tacos: the Mahi taco (breaded Mahi with peruvian sauce and mango salsa), the Hot Surfer Chick taco (chicken with pineapple salsa), and the Blackened Shrimp taco (blackened shrimp with slaw, pico de gallo, and peruvian sauce). Each taco was different, but each exploded with flavor! They were wonderful! My wife ordered Pineapple El Pastor Chicken Fajitas. The chicken was delicious as was the pineapple salsa that accompanied it. So, the food was great, the atmosphere interesting, the service efficient, and the prices reasonable. My only regret is that we live three hours away. I wish we had a Cantina Louie where we lived. We would definitely be regular customers! But as it is, we will keep this place at the top of the list for our next visit to Jacksonville.

My wife and I both got the steak fajitas. There was enough food in one meal to feed us both. They definitely give you a lot of food for the money. Our server was Briittany K. , and she is a great waitress. The food and service are exceptional . Honestly, I'm looking forward to going back next week. If I could give Cantina Louie more than five stars, I would .

Friends have told me how great this place is and I couldn't believe that another Mexican place could be as good as anything else, but they were right. This place is good! The food is fresh and yummy and I have to eat gluten-free so they were able to accommodate me with corn tortillas. So I will definitely be returning multiple times. Update June 2023: Have been to several locations and they are all consistently delicious! The Blackened Shrimp tacos are my favorite and they can be gluten free ❤️

Only giving 4 stars bc its way overpriced and the food wasn't up to my standards for what I was paying for. Wait time for the food was about 20-30 min. Waitress staff was very nice and really did amazing asked for extra sour cream and definitely got what I asked for as shown in the pictures. The atmosphere was brilliant and very nicely done. Prices range from $10-60.00

I have been to this restaurant before, though not this location, and the decor is really, really cool. The food is good and the wait staff are attentive and friendly. The outside covered patio is comfortable and a nice place for lunch and/or drinks. The queso appetizer is large and familiar with chips and salsa, which are both good enough to go through a couple baskets with your beers or margaritas. Happy hour specials made our queso half off and Mexican beer under $4. Caritas were ok, but would have liked the pork to have been in pieces instead of shredded ( just my preference not a criticism). Will definitely stop in again when in the area.

This is my favorite Cantina Louie. For whatever reason the quality can very from the chain. They have an amazing happy hour 2-5 weekdays, including $3.99 margaritas and 1/2 price appetizers. Also, on Tuesdays all tacos are $2.99. Great deal for the specialty tacos, like the Surf & turf with steak and shrimp. Staff is friendly and the food comes out lightning fast. If you like things hot, ask for a side of their house made habanero salsa. It’ll light your world on fire!

I just finished my third meal at Cantina Louie in 24 hours. And probably my sixth visit in about 2.5 weeks. I may have a problem. They have this great lunch special - two tacos, rice and beans, and a soda or tea for $10. The staff are all really nice and attentive (but especially Caleb) and the food is super consistent and delicious. I currently can’t get enough of the sriracha shrimp taco.

Walked here from our hotel on a recent trip and we were so glad we did. Food was amazing, prices were reasonable and there were so many options. Cheese dip was more than typical price but we realized why when the huge bowl showed up a minute after ordering. Loved the artwork and decorations.

My BFF, boyfriend, & I went up there for Taco Tuesday, & due to the popularity of the place, we had to wait 20+ minutes for a table. We ended up finding 3 seats at the bar, where we planned on only being until a table became available. However, Christie immediately showed up to take care of us, and between her, Parker, & Caleb, we found we were already in the best spot. Christie and Parker made sure we always had something to drink & eat, were prompt and awesome with ALL aspects of service. Caleb kept us entertained while prepping things at the bar- definitely kept us laughing and smiling. The 3 of them were just all-around amazing at the service they provided. Food was delicious, and served in a timely manner. This truly was the best place to be on a Tuesday night. Love the bartenders!

Very good food, prices and service. Ella was a spectacular server/waitress. Very attentive! The burrito was fresh and a nice size. Served with the most delicious fries I've had in a while! I got a side of queso with the already complimentary chips and salsa and it was huge (not served in a small round ramekin). I used it to dip not only the chips but my fries as well. 😋 I love the lightly seared fresh jalapenos and onions served with the burrito platter. Just so good! I can't wait to get back there!

Usually a good experience! This is one of our favorite locations! An added bonus: Mondays are 2.99 kids meals.

Cool decor. Understaffed, I felt bad for our server who was working many tables alone. I had an affordable 3pc combo that was just ok. A bit heavy on the sauce.

I had a great first experience here! I came for their Taco Tuesday specials. They had $3 specialty tacos and $6 Margaritas. The food quality was great and they had some really unique flavors. The Sunny side taco was definitely my favorite! The yolk from the sunny up egg melted into the chorizo for an amazing burst of flavor! I highly recommend trying it!
