Reliably amazing. One of THOSE restaurants ... where you go because you really enjoy fine dining and they really enjoy making good food. Try it once and don't worry about which dishes you order. They're all incredible.

Overall it is an okay place to go and better option than others spots around. They had a cute kids menu.

After attending an event at the Moran Theatre on Saturday 12/2 we were looking for a place to sit out tornado warnings in the immediate area. We chose Bellwether because it was close. It turned out to be a great find for us. Our waiter Elle was fabulous. She had great personality, knowledge of the menu and was a great addition to our experience....which was wonderful. The restaurant is a modern inviting space. The service is professional and friendly. The food was fantastic. One of our new favorites in JAX. Thanks Elle! Thanks to the staff for making room for us on a very busy night!

Do not miss dining at this unique Jacksonville owned restaurant in beautiful downtown Jacksonville. Hats off to such a diverse and creative menu and drink options. I hardly ever have room for desert but have enjoyed them before as well.

Atmosphere is great, very clean and welcoming. Staff was amazing. Matt B. was informative and willing to help us in every way to make our dinner selections. The dumplings came out completely raw, but we had no issues once we brought it to their attention and the second round was absolutely perfect and delicious. The dinner was cooked well, although the NY strip was a bit tough and had a large strip of fat. Dinner prices are a bit high for the quality of the food, but it was still a great experience and we are going to come back again in the near future.

I ate at the Bellwether with 2 colleagues from work and their wives. The service was very good, the food was excellent and the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, if a little loud because of the open nature of the space. There are parking garages nearby and free on-street parking after 6 pm. The Bellwether is a moderately upmarket restaurant with great food and service.

Great downtown restaurant in Jacksonville. Has a nice variety of starters. Smaller dishes and main dishes. It's not one of those places you're going to walk into and have a five page menu. They do a few things and they do them very well. I will admit their poutine wasn't quite Canadian but it was super yummy. The gravy really hit the spot and their french fries are perfect. Great place for lunch if you work downtown or dinner and drinks after work!

It was not our first time visiting this restaurant. Friendly staff and great food. We ordered the fried broccoli, the ramen, the risotto, and two desserts. All was great. The staff was very accommodating in terms of dietary restrictions (vegan) and made our visit memorable. I would highly recommend the risotto and the fried broccoli. The ramen was great, but nothing extraordinary. The deserts were amazing as well. It's not the cheapest restaurant but it's definitely worth it.

Dined in during happy hour on a Tuesday. There were only a couple other tables seated the whole time we were there. Service was very good and atmosphere was pleasant. The food was inventive, though some offerings fell short on execution. The happy hour menu’s dill-pickle-brined fried chicken and steak burgers were mediocre. Burger was a little greasy and it overpowered the taste. Admittedly, this may be because I ordered it medium. The chili boiled peanuts were a great finger food while waiting for the main course, but the flavor was subdued. The chili wasn’t really noticeable. The highlight for us was the lavash and dip plate. The boiled peanut hummus and whipped feta were delicious. I’m not generally a fan of pimiento cheese, but it was also a standout — it tasted more like a seafood dip. Overall, I can recommend Bellwether, and I would return to sample their other offerings, but not until trying some other restaurants in the area.

Mary was amazing from the time I stepped in until I left. She paid attention to all the details and made she I was taken care of with a smile the entire time. Not only that but the food was GREAT! I had the vegan curry and it was delicious and well put together on the plate as well. I'd recommend you check it out for yourself if you are in the area. Oh the atmosphere is so calming and relaxed.

Me and my girlfriend stopped by on 10/02/2020 around 8:20p.m. The host was kind when we 1st arrived and not long after we arrived two waitresses greeted us. Both were exceptionally professional and executed our order correctly. It didn't take long for our order to come out, our food was hot, delicious beyond our expectations, and the food wasn't overpriced. We ordered the Fried Korean Broccoli, Beet Burger, House Soup, and boiled peanuts with a glass of wine. We will be returning.

We were in Jacksonville for a show at the arena and this seemed to be the best restaurant that was close enough to be convenient and it ended up being a great choice! With a clean and modern looking interior, Bellwether serves up southern inspired American cuisine that is tasty with great service. The pimento cheese plate was insanely good with addictive crackers, the chicken and the chicken salad were also both great as well for our mains. Service was as close to perfect as you can get! Really almost no negatives to our experience and we would go back in a heartbeat if we found ourselves in Jacksonville again!
