This won't be a long in depth review I did a quick takeout as I was looking for 🐟
This is a small location right off Atlantic easy to miss.
Fish and Chips selection I'd say, is what the market has available, no haddock, instead it's tilapia and flounder.
Seafood market is changing I get that but I guess as an experienced seafood affectionado I was expecting more, like haddock.
I did settle for the flounder, it was well prepared along with the fries and nearby coleslaw and it was priced right.
The $12.99 fish and chips special is worth the money in my opinion. The batter is light. The fish flakey. The fries fell a little flat, I wish they were crispier and there was a bigger portion. But they were salted, so that's a plus.
We went in and placed our order to go, and while it took a little while, that's how you know it's made fresh. The staff was friendly while we waited and there is some british memorabilia to browse through as well.
I'm sad more people weren't in there, as we were the only ones, and reading the reviews that seems to be the case. Hopefully they are all ordering takout.
Overall enjoyable experience and glad it's right up the road to fill our future fish and chips cravings.
This is the best fish and chips place I've had in a long time... it's taken 11 years and multiple states but finally someone who knows how to fry the fish right, great portion size. Wife had the jumbo shrimp and they take 2 good bites to even finish one. The only thing it's missing is it needs to be on a bed of newspaper for true authentic fish and chips. Couldn't ask for better service either. Well done gentlemen, well done

The hostesses had such a warm personality. Gave us recommendations and food we order smelt delicious and the shrimp was delicious
I've arrive twice after work, and luckily before they closed at 8pm. I had the beer battered cod one time (it was good for the price), and a large flounder the other time, with double the fries - instead of getting coleslaw (the flounder was also good also). The owner was very nice; he said his fiance is from London - hence, the name of the place. It's a nice small shop with good fish at decent lunch/snack prices (under $12). I will return again!
Will certainly be back to try more of the menu at London's. We ordered the battered cod with ff/coleslaw and it was terrific. If you are used to a salty seasoned batter THIS is not THAT. The batter was very light and the fish was not greasy. It really allowed the taste of the fish to be the star, firm yet flakey and went together perfectly with the tarter sauce. I would have liked the fries a little crispier, but I came here for the fried fish and it was excellent. There was plenty of food for my liking and I don't think this was frozen fish as some have stated. The lady that took care of our takeout order was great as well. We hardly made it out of the parking lot because it smelled so good!
They're a bit stingy with the napkins and they charge 50 cents for extra container of tartar sauce???? I suppose that's part of the London authenticity.
That aside, Gary was attentive and helpful on a moderately busy Saturday afternoon.
The Cod N Chips was a good meal. Portions were like Cap'n D's used to be in the 80s before fish started shrinking. So, a good portion size.
The fries were nothing special, but the Cole slaw, although different from Southern style slaw was tangy and sweet and deliciously unique. It also had a very fresh flavor as if it had just been made.
I would say it's worth another visit to try these jumbo shrimp I read about.
Unfortunately, I can't add a photo, I already ate it.
Best fish and chips I've had in the Jacksonville area. I ordered the cod and it was perfectly battered and fried. Plenty of chips. The coleslaw is vinegar based and not the traditional mayo based that we have here in the States.
I would definitely recommend this place.
We loved it. The fish (we got the cod) was DELICIOUS, the fried shrimp was really good, and the hush puppies were freaking amazing. All the food was really hot, and we were not able to finish it all in one sitting (idk what people are on about when they talk about small pieces of fish???). We will definitely be going back!
The owners are good people. Authentic flavor and too good to pass up! The chef has roots in London and the decor is made of items from that capital of the United Kingdom. That city has been around for over 2,000 years! I have had fish and chips In pubs and restaurants in the UK and the food and service reminds me of my last visit there.
I ordered the fish, chips and a side order of fried shrimp. The cod fish and shrimp were very fresh and delicious! I liked the French fries and cole slaw as well. The service was friendly and quick. I have found a great restaurant with fun decor, great food and friendly service!
Pros: Very clean and awesome customer service. I was shopping at the Asian market next door when I stumbled across this place. They had shrimp tacos on advertisement. So So delicious 😋. It had nice chucks shrimps and cole slaw. It was nicely seasoned. Will definitely be back again. I also got a punch card so for every 4 visits you get 50% on your meal. Cons: They are a little pricey and the portions are small.
The cashier was nice and we received our food fast. The coconut shrimp tasted good but I feel like the proportions didn't match the price as I paid $12 for a 6 shrimp and fries. Other than that delicious food but high prices.
Cod fish and chips were delicious. Right level of crispiness on the outside and juicy fish on the inside. Gary's no muppet but a rather nice guy. Could be a little more generous on the size of the tasty coleslaw - which is about the size of a shot glass!
