When I tell you my stomach about to bust!!! The best Bar Bq in Jax hands down! That Oxtail rice has me licking my fingers every time. I live near Mayport but I drive to the Northside for Bobs Famous Barbq exclusively. If you haven't had Bobs, you missing something special I promise.

Each time we ate at Bob's Famous BBQ their food and service far exceeded our expectations! The food was awesome! The service was awesome and the people were awesome! This is one of Jacksonville's best-kept secrets.

I went here couple weeks ago cause I been craving for BBQ!! I kept seeing them on Facebook. But anyways, when I got there I had to wait cause they had to cook my wings. But when I tell u it was the best Wings ever. Nobody really smoke wings like that. And the ribs was so tender. Everything was perfect and definitely worth the wait. I will be there this Wednesday!!

I have gone a couple of times now and the food has been excellent each time. The rib tips were very tender and the seafood salad was great as well! Will be back soon.
Food was great!! We had already started before I remembered to take a picture. This was a family meal with a rack of ribs, 8 piece chicken, 3 sides and a 2 liter. It also came with about a half a loaf of bread too. All total the price was $74 including taxes. Very yummy!! My on complaint was that we could not order ahead maybe because it was so close to Christmas, that made the wait about 45 minutes. Hopefully they take call in orders on non holiday days.
The Ribs were very Good. The side items were fair but not very good. Mac and cheese was oily, clumpy and tasted off. Yams were tasty but sweet without any other flavor. The service was fast and friendly. This is a small store front only. You order and wait outside. The Meat is well worth the drive.
The food was delicious! I had the chicken and rib plate with 2 sides and bread for $25. I wish they would add a small smoked sausage or maybe a fried pork chop(future menu), for the price. Overall, very good!

This place has the potential to be great but they need to seriously reconsider their business model. While I understand that this is not fast food, the wait times are HORRIBLE. I waited over an hour for my food and it was just ok in my opinion. They were out of alot of the sides... even french fries. The baked beans tasted like sweet pork n beans. The green beans were good. The dirty rice I wasn't a fan of at all and it was over salted. Thankfully I was passing through and was in the area, otherwise I would have been extremely upset of having to drive and wait that long. The ladies at the window were nice. The price point for what you get along with the waiting seems to be a bit steep. It's not bad if you have a taste for bbq and don't mind waiting. I'd like to see a pulled/chopped pork BBQ sandwich added to the menu. There is no dine in option. There are 2 tables outside one has a canopy, the other doesn't. There's limited space in front of the building to wait on ur food as well. With the long wait times you would think there would be a little more space to accommodate patrons waiting. Be prepared to wait in your vehicle.
The food was tender and juicy. I got the rib tips, baked beans, dirty rice, and Mac and cheese. The service was great. The cashier greeted me and I ask her what was their best dish she told me the rib tips and I got it. Her recommendations was true fall off the bone juicy. If I ever pass by I'll stop by again.
The chicken, ribs , Corn nuggets, sweet tea, all of it was good. Don’t expect fast service bc they cook fresh but that’s okay. The food is worth it and enjoy talking to some locals. And looks we got sauce for days. But the sauce it’s not even needed. It’s good as is!!!!
This is the best real BBQ. Just like back yard at home. A lot of flavor thick and full of meat. Seafood salad real crabmeat and shrimp. Mac and cheese, the real deal, not pastey. it's like moms Mac and cheese. This is a must try place. Right off the interstate. Made to order. The fries are old school going back on time.
So I ordered the 6pc wings with dirty rice and baked beans. So you see those beans. Delicious and sweet. The dirty rice, excellent. The wings, so well smoked they filled my house with that delicious aroma. I also ordered the sweet and spicy sauce and the spicy sauce. I'm not a mustard based sauce fan, but these sauces was so good I didn't notice. Bob's provides excellent food at a reasonable price. Well worth the drive to get so. Just come early because the favorites sell out later in the day. I will gladly be make this part of my regular rotation. And the house punch just added to the experience. My wife got the pulled pork sandwich and said it was the best one she's ever had.
Not what we were expecting when we picked this place to grab some lunch. We chose to “dine in” since we were driving on vacation. There is no indoor dining but the food was excellent. We both had a salad for something light to eat.
I had the 3 meat salad and the boss had the chicken salad. The meat was tender, juicy and hot. The salad was cool and crisp with baby cucumber slices, grape tomatoes, assorted lettuce croutons onions, cheese and a hard boiled egg. More than enough to fill us up.
Be prepared for a little wait. Bob told us that all the salads are prepared fresh after they are ordered. Takes a little longer but well worth the wait. The aroma of the meat slow cooking was divine. Plan on stopping here for something above average on the BBQ scale.
Grabbed a plate from Bob’s for the first time and it was awesome. I like a great flavor without the sauce and Bob’s didn’t disappoint. Don’t let the small footprint deceive you, it’s a small pace with a big taste. I’ll be back again.
