As a vegetarian, finding GOOD empanadas without beef is always a mission. It’s usually half-empty / too oily / etc. 1. The actual dough is perfection! It’s fried but doesn’t soak up the oil. 2. All the vegetarian options are A+, but the mushroom bechamel stole my heart. 3. The homemade sauces!! Especially the Aji Amarillo 🤤. Highly recommend

Stopped here for a quick dinner with my wife and I was pleasantly surprised. The restaurant is kind of a fast casual place, we got our food within 10 minutes of ordering. The decor is bright and lively, but not overboard and the fresh flowers on the tables were a nice touch. I ordered the corn and cheese empanada as well as the bechamel which had mushroom and a cream sauce. The bechamel was rich and savory while the corn was sweet and well cheesey. I enjoyed them both and was glad there were vegetarian options. My wife had the lomo saltado and she said it was great; meaty and rich...quite delicious. We both got the yucca fries and were a bit confused because they were breaded and we're accustomed to them without breading, just fried. If you opt for fries, definitely get a dipping sauce, next time I'll go with the garlic if I get yucca or perhaps try one of the other sides and sauce combo. This was definitely a great find and we will be back, I think our kids will enjoy these delicious empanadas as much as we did.

Our family ate here for the first time recently. We had the Lomo Saltado, Choclo con Queso, Original beef, and Banana and Nutella empanadas, with fries, and tried 4 of the sauces. The sauces were Rocoto, Huancaina, Garlic Cilantro, and Aji de Polleria. Also had smoothies, mango and soursop. Everything was absolutely delicious! Everybody in our family loved this place. Definitely coming back as much as possible. :-) :-)

This place is definitely a hidden gem! I happened to see this place the other week when I was in this shopping center. I told myself that I was going to come back to try it because I love empanadas, and I finally had a chance to try it today. I am definitely glad I did! The empanandas are delicious! The are also more filling than they look. Each one is about the size of your palm and circular. I'm used to empanadas being shaped like a half moon, but these are circular. The crust is also very flaky. I would compare them to hand pies if you have ever had those. On this trip I tried the original beef and the Aji de gallina, which was filled with shredded chicken. Both were great, but I think my favorite so far is the original beef. They also have sides like fries, sweet potato fries, fried yuca and salad. I would definitely suggest you try the fried yuca. I didn't try any on this trip, but they also have sweet empanadas filled with nutella or apple pie and they also have smoothies. I will definitely come back often, there are too many menu items that I still want to try. Do yourself a favor and visit this place if you are in the area. The staff is very friendly and the food is great. Just one note, it can take a few minutes to get your food if they are busy because they cook your food to order, but it is worth the wait :)

Food: Delicious!! Try the lomo saltado and ají de gallina. The portions are big, so you will be satisfied with 2 (even though the empanadas are so good, you will want to try more). Drinks: the Chicha is amazing! It's very hard to find a well made chicha morada but this place blows any expectations away. Service: Excellent! This restaurant attended by the owner and she will make sure you are 100% satisfied with your meal. She's also peruvian, which means that the menu is really authentic. Overall: Having tried many other peruvian restaurants, I can say that this is a unique place. Will definitely be coming back time after time.

Love everything about this place! From the cute peruvian vibe when you walk in, to the friendly staff, to the changing specials, it's great! I got one savory and one sweet empanada (the combo also came with fried yuca, yum!) and they had a special of sorts running where I ended up getting a free savory empanada. Score! Because I wasn't planning on sharing with my husband (sorry not sorry), but then i looked like a considerate wife. All three were incredibly flavorful, fresh and delicious! My sweet tooth especially loved the nutella and banana. I tell everyone I can to check them out. I wish we were closer, we'd be here more often for sure.

Cool little spot in Jacksonville with delicious empanadas! There's a good combo for $13 and you get 2 empanadas, one side and one soft drink, but there's about 8 empanadas to choose from including dessert ones, so it's tough to decide. Fried yuca and sweet potato fries are my favorite sides. Service is very friendly and as quick as the empanadas can cook! The decor is nice and they seem to be a busy spot for lunch, haven't been during a dinner rush yet. As for the empanadas, the choclo con queso is my favorite, it tastes like Mac and cheese but it's made with corn. Other two favorites are the steak filled lomo saltado and the veggie stir fry! Sauces and good and slightly spicy, but cost an extra $2. Overall good value and good food!

I was craving some empanadas last night so I finally got to try Empanada Llama and let me tell you they did not disappoint! I got the Original Beef ones to go and when I got home and opened the package I was pleasantly surprised at how cute they were all wrapped up waiting for me to eat them. Flavor was great and the shell was different than I've had at other restaurants but still great! Also, the price is very reasonable. Will be back for future visits!

If you are looking for great empanadas then look no further. Everything was fresh and delicious. Each flavor ordered was phenomenal. The way they mark the empanada so you know which is which is pretty cool. You can taste the love in every bite. The nutella on is omg good. The 6combo with three sides is perfect for you and a date to share. Definitely in the places to return to folder. Don't pass this place up!!!! 🤤

Not only does Empanada Llama serve delicious and fresh empanadas, but also large portioned ones. 1 or 2 could easily fill someone up but of course you're going to want an extra one because of how great they are. While you're there get a side of Yucca and try some of their great sauces. Pair that with one of their refreshing beverages like their mango smoothie for a complete meal. Definitely a go to spot while you're in the Mandarin area!
