I worked for lonzos for many of years. Let me to you from an inside view. It has never been better then right now!! The new owners have done an amazing job! From the food, facility and people who work there.. They have cleaned and remodeled the kitchen so the appliances are top of the line.. They get all high quality food now. And there new chef Richie knows what he's doing!! They updated the menu and its never. Been as good as it is now.. I'm telling you from a first hand experience, this place is the real deal!! You must give it a try.. You will thank me later!!!
Super, we had a family gathering for our dads birthday party they take reservations . We had a side room for our party and the service was great. Our server was prompt and the clean up staff came through regularly. The food was very good and served quickly even with the place being fairly busy. We had a very good time thank you to the Owner and staff, Highly recommend this place .
Great service. Excellent food. Clean and neat. Very good experience here. Definitely on the list to visit again. I highly recommend this place.
New owners have really invested in the restaurant, from the new kitchen to staffing, to new menu items and attention to detail. Several of our favorite servers have returned and although we visited the first week they were open, things went smoothly, even with a Wednesday night full house. The fine linens and their fluffy bread sticks are back and the menu has been upgraded. We ordered Salmon Lonzerotti's - hand cut salmon with Parmesan, honey and a citrus twist. The servings were huge and attention to detail is apparent in the presentation on the plate. I look forward to sending our B&B guests there once again! They're open Tuesday through Saturday, and I'd recommend reservations, even on a week night.
We have been away from Jacksonville for 19 years. We realize many things have happened over the years. But the return was a joy at this place. Great food, solid service and the place looked great. We will he back.

A huge thank you to John and the Lonzerotti's staff! Great food, atmosphere, and service! I couldn't have proposed to my fiance in a better place! We will be back!
We enjoyed our meal and the service so very much. We had a great server and all the help was awesome. Even the young lady who was "bussing" the tables was excellent. She filled our water glasses and the coffee cups whenever they got low. Cleaned the dirty dishes from the table quickly and with smiles.
Very nice - very professional.
We had a wonderful dinner this evening and to find out our favorite waiter has become the new owner made it all the much better (although we didn't get him as a waiter). Best of luck John, we are happy for you! We will be back.
An oasis in the middle of Midwest cornfields. Had the best Italian meal ever and the rolls were ridiculous, like I took them out of the oven myself! If you're within a million miles of this restaurant, go eat!!! And the venue was cozy, and wonderful!
Not someone who takes a photo of my supper but if I were, tonight would have been the first. Darryl surprised me with dinner at Lonzerottis. One of the best meals I have ever eaten. Great job owner John Whitney and Chef Richie Frederick. Prime rib, asparagus and some kind of voodoo potatoes I can only hope to imitate one day. Merry Christmas.
I was here for Easter Sunday Brunch. The service and food were both top notch. I can’t wait to go back.
My boyfriend and I have been coming to Lonzerotti's for a while now and while we were disappointed that they were closed for a short time while the management transition was taking place, we couldn't be happier since they've reopened! Had a late Valentine's dinner there last night and WOW....the chicken piccata was beyond delicious and together, we ate an embarrassing amount of bread (I may need an intervention). The staff was so friendly and the atmosphere was perfect as always. If you're not eating here, you're seriously missing out.

Jenni and I had the opportunity to dine at Lonzerotti's on a chilly evening in October. Coming in from the brisk, cold night , we were greeted by John Whitney (one of the owners) in the warm and inviting bar area. Just a little tip- make a reservation, because they are a busy place.
John took us to our booth in a cozy dining room. They offer both table and booth settings. I personally enjoy a cozy booth. Our server Allen greeted us and took our drink order. We were dining with the innkeeper (Gwenn) from Blessings on State, so she helped navigate us through the many yummy looking choices on the menu.
We started our meal off with a sampler platter: Italian Sausage Ravioli; Mozzarella Sticks; and Button Mushrooms (the sampler is not a usual menu item, but each of these items are available separate). We also enjoyed a Shrimp Cocktail (half dozen).
A meal could be made right from the appetizers, but we were excited to try more. Jenni ordered the Tortellini- cheese filled tortellini and she chose the marinara sauce (you get to choose your own sauce). I chose the Chicken Parmigiana- hand breaded chicken breast topped with house-made meat sauce, mozzarella, provolone and parmesan; over spaghetti noodles- yummy. The chicken's breading was perfect. It had a nice crunch and the chicken was nice and juicy. I added the side house salad to mine (it comes with a homemade Italian dressing). I really enjoyed the salad (it could have been my meal). Each of the meals also come with the homemade bread sticks (soft and warm). The portions are so large, so you can share or have leftovers to enjoy later.
Lonzerotti's is the perfect place to come enjoy a delicious meal with friends and family. Jenni and I enjoyed talking with Gwenn and watching the other diners enjoying their evening.
If you are looking for a fun and historical setting for a delicious meal (lunch or dinner)- you need to come to Lonzerotti's in the old train depot. Remember make a reservation.
We had a group of 7 and Claudia took the best care of us. We had reservations for outside dining and we had the perfect spot. Lunch was delicious and no one left hungry! What an enjoyable and satisfying luncheon!
I can’t believe I just paid 3 star money for a 5 star experience!
Adam was an excellent server, very courteous and met every need! The food was delicious! The cheese sauce on the pony shoe was worth the drive alone!
The house italian is always nice!
The breadsticks are so cute and fluffy and delicious!
Oh, Lord, how do I begin? This place was amazing. So worth the price & making a reservation. Every single dish was perfect! The quality is exceptional, & the cook staff know how to prepare everything perfectly. I had chicken marsala & the chicken was done but not over-cooked(I hate that!) & the mushrooms were divine & the sauce wasn't too tart. The breadsticks were so soft & delicate & not over powered with too much garlic. A family member had the seafood lasagna & it was so perfectly cooked it was hard to tell if there was even any noodles in it at all. It was so full of meat & sauce it was heavenly!! We also had an after dinner wine or desert wine called "lemoncellos" (sp?) that was so smooth, & not overwhelmingly sweet or sour. It was divine! Will be back every chance we get when traveling through that area!
Just a wonderful place. Neat of train depot converted to a restaurant. Adam was our waiter and was fantastic. Food was great. Just a five star place.
The juiciest most tender stoned steak I have ever tried. The seafood lasagna was magnificent!
