What a wonderful place. We were a group of almost thirty with 3 small kids and an infant. They were so friendly and dealt with so many orders. No one was unhappy with the food or the service. I would recommend it to everyone and will definitely be back.

I had the combo with brisket, Pork ribs, and the hot sausage (which was just hot enough).
We had Kate serve us again, cause she is SO Nice, and everything was excellent. The ice cream with the chocolate and the PB goodies is the bomb. We will be back again, and again and again.
My family all live about a mile away, we go to Back porch a lot, the food is always outstanding, service excellence, drinks a perfect, love the brisket!! Prime rib is excellent, ribs to die for! Ambience is fun, and Jacksonville is a national treasure.

I had the Ahi tacos...Fantastic! We were a party of 5 and had 5 different dinners including drinks and dessert....we all LOVED our food! Steak sandwich, chili burger, cobb salad and bacon chicken wrap, and chocolate cake. Will be going again.
Melt in your mouth brisket, friendly service. This restaurant is always great. My hubby says the beans are the best ever and I think the potato salad is really good!!

Some of the best food around. Kevin is A.W.E.S.O.M.E. brisket fettuccini is delicious. Desserts are to die for.
The food is amazing!!! We come here for the bleu cheese dressing! Highly recommend!

I have been here several times I can't brag enough how good the food no mayter what i order, the drinks the staff is superior was there recently wth jan & Scott and the steak was super love this place
Had pork ribs and two sides, potato salad and slaw. Awesome meal, unable too finish so much food. Had leftovers for lunch today. Great place BBQ!

Right off Old St. Augustine Road by the Hospital it is a bit of a challenge to get into. Parking is very good with lots of Handicap spots. Welcomed and sat right away. Liz became our server and she was professional as well as responsive to all our needs 5 ⭐. I ordered the side house salad $4.99 a meal in itself 5 ⭐. Bill ordered the Onion Soup $5.99. Now it was very good, small for the price, but even after 2 tries the kitchen couldn't really Brown the Cheese topping so 4 ⭐. I ordered the Chicken and Shrimp with Garlic Mashed potatoes. A very large meal that over half came home with me so for $20.99 a real 5 ⭐ even though the Shrimp could have been larger. Bill ordered Fish and Chips with Fries, Slaw and really enjoyed a 5 ⭐ for $15.99 and took home half of it. Again can't express our pleasure with the service (Thanks Liz) as well as the food. We shall return.
We visited on a Friday lunchtime and the place wasn't busy. Service was great - very attentive and quick. The meal combos seemed a good idea, though I had a Whiskey Bacon Burger - while excessive and good, I needed a fix of full on American burger! As always, it's nice to check out the walls which are decorated based on local (school) teams in this case
Pretty yummy! Only reason it's 4 stars is because I ordered soup and it didn't come and it took a bit to wave down someone to ask about it. Not a big deal, usually, but it was my meal. Lol!!!
We were visiting a relative at Baptist South. Stopped in for a quick bite. Service was fast and friendly. Order took no time. My wife's fries and burger was spot on, my chicken strips and fries were still steaming!! Highly recommend.
I stopped in while a friend was at the doctor and had a Bloody Mary and a appetizer. It was fresh, pretty and delicious. The bartender was so sweet. She was busy but, knew what she was doing, fast. She had a sense of humor that just made me laugh. It was fun watching her interactions with others.
Visited this Applebee's for the first time for an early dinner, recently. We were a little put-off by the smell inside (smell's like a 100 year old small theater). The food service was pretty good and the food was excellent. The bar service was satisfactory, but could use some professional training. However not sure we'll go back because of the B.O. smell in there. Management, please do something about it. You are our neighborhood Applebee's.
Bourbon Street Shrimp and chicken, Spinach and cheese dip and IPA draft beer , how can you go wrong? Add the donut holes with chocolate and caramel dipping sauce, you are in heaven! Staff is super friendly and reasonably priced.
